    I’ve seen quite a few videos of s plan wiring on RUclips but none have provided such a clear and logical explanation as to the different components and how they link. Makes what can look like a jumble of wires pretty straightforward. Thank you for taking the time to make this

    I follow john ward and his videos are very simple and useful but i must admit this chap has made things so simple by easily breaking everything down. Amazing video thanks.

    Hi, thank you so much for your very helpful and clear instructions, your diagrams and your explanations are so well broken down that I have at last understood how it all works!!!
    I have watched many other You Tube videos about S Plans before yours and they make it so much more complicated and I was never really confident I understood, but after watching your video it suddenly all clicked together. Many thanks and I just subscribed looking forward to other videos from you.

      @@JPElectric great video jp, just one question, if I look at your drawing of the overview wiring. There is a live coming to the boiler from the junction just above it. What is that for? The live below the boiler is easy to identify as it goes directly to the 2 switched valves

    • @JPElectric
      @JPElectric  3 года назад

      @@johanburger6109 Thanks for the comment. Boilers often have a permanent live as well as a switch live. The permanent can be used to power the pump overrun function , which helps cool down the boiler. But it all depends on what boiler you have. So its very important to read the instructions for the boiler. But If you are wiring a system, I would alway make sure you have both a switched and permanent live to the boiler.

    Great video. I am about to carry this out. Do you typically remove the links and loops that come pre installed on a boiler. Many of them relate to other control methods that I don't believe are relevant when wiring an S plan.

    • @JPElectric
      @JPElectric  3 года назад

      Hi Thomas thanks for the comment. I can't really advise on specific wiring issues. as I don't have knowledge of your system. Some boilers do have links that are removed when a stat is installed for example. But I would advise caution. if unsure , contact a local heating engineer.
