it still feels weird that people don't get that the draenei are eredar (draenei meaning exile) and man'ari are also eredar (man'ari meaning corrupted). The species is eredar while draenei and man'ari are descriptors of groups.
Illidan: The Demons will return * Demons return * Tyrande: you were right help us Illidan: * Helps them, and gets a power boost for doing so. * Malfurion: You've learned nothing you're banished. Illidan: I was already right once, you think it can't happen twice?
he probably dropped the skull (deathwing) so that he wasn't chased. i believe he realized he needed stronger plates at that point that could resist magics. if he didn't drop it khadgar and others would find him again and faster, possibly in a weaker state with the same vulnerability. so he said Fk it have it im outies
So does it ever get explained how/why the Army of Light picked up Alleria and Turalyon but completely left behind the Alliance expedition or any of the Draenei or Broken that were still on planet? Like did they have a quota and after getting those two were like "Well sucks to be you guys. Later losers!"? Speaking of the Broken it really sucks how they were treated by their own people, even after the sacrifices they made for them. Just a reminder that the peoples of the Warcraft universe aren't the same as people from this world and don't have the same outlook on things we do. Still some positively medeival outlooks on some things. Really loving these super long lore vids, keep em coming!
When you mentioned Illidan going to isolation in Outland and taking it over from Magtheridon, it was actually because Malfurion, Kael and Maiev stopped him from using the Eye of Sargearas to destroy the Lich King, and also he teamed up with them to save Tyrande. Only after securing Outland he came back to attack the Lich King again and eventually lose to Arthas. Blizzard teased us with his death then (the Warcraft 3 cutscene only shows Illidan fainting, leaving it open), only confirming that not only he survived his bout with Arthas at the foot of the Frozen Throne, but that he and his posse retreated to Outland to lick their wounds.
The Illidan novel does actually clarify that Illidan did intend on returning the Black Tempel to Akama and his people once he was done. Problem was, he still needed it to fulfill his goal, but Akama got impatient and turned against Illidan before he could finish. So the novel basically made Akama out to be a dumbass.
Illidan wasn't the most trustworthy person, at least to an outside perspective. In hindsight, Akama is maybe a dumbass, but his suspicion seemed warranted at the time.
Blade's Edge is Frostfire and Gorgrond mashed together. Netherstorm was a place called Farahlon that we were supposed to visit in WoD but was never finished/released.
16:53 it sucks when your whole race is based upon light worship and then you lose your connection to the light no matter how hard you keep faith it just won’t return so yeah I’d be wanting to unalive too and makes sense for the ones not affected be wary and unsure to exile them especially during such wild times
Khadgar realized how old the beard made him look 😂 and then with a little bit of guardian magic from his time in Karazhan and taking his old teachers staff he got a bit of a magic glow up 🤷♂️ maybe he’s got Benjamin button syndrome? 😂💀
When you feel pointless or thinking you dont matter, remember nazgrel exist. An important orc who was forgotten in outland with nothing to do... Also remember that he still a high commander and important person, not like you soo you should feel more pointless and worthless
This series is astounding!!! Perfect perfect perfect!!!

Makes me wish the Man'ari had been an Allied Race rather then a cosmetic option.
loving this series!
Crazy that half a zone of exploration is 1 level
This was one of the great lore videos… explains so much.
Illidan: The Demons will return
* Demons return *
Tyrande: you were right help us

Malfurion: You've learned nothing you're banished.
Illidan: I was already right once, you think it can't happen twice?

Tiri(gosa) is in Celestial Ridge [71,35] in Netherstorm. At 1:03:31 she lives down there in the crystal patch.

Didn't Blade's Edge Mountains used to be Frostfire Ridge and Netherstorm Gorgrond with Helfire being Tanaan Jungle

The Tour Du Lore Dojour!!!!!
@ 33:30 Not explained how Illidan could make a portal to outland? He absorbed the skull of Gul'dan. Easy to infer that's how.
Millhouse was a part of and attunement quest we had to rescue him because he was wrongfully in prisoned
Khadgar realized how old the beard made him look 😂 and then with a little bit of guardian magic from his time in Karazhan and taking his old teachers staff he got a bit of a magic glow up 🤷♂️ maybe he’s got Benjamin button syndrome? 😂💀
