It is funny, she walks through target like she does that every day (or 3 times in a day so far), but she looks and talks like an Aussie girl for sure.

Moving away from all that is comfortable is not easy. I did it 21 years ago, and I can say I have zero regrets. It's hard, so hard. My heart goes out to you. You are very courageous to do this. You will survive & thrive. Welcome to the USA! Oh, if you want a mini Cooper, get a mini Cooper. I'm 6'3 & drive a Chevy Spark because it's great on gas. Don't worry about getting run over.

You're braver than me for leaving your family and going to live half way across the world. One thing that's good though is the time you're alive at. Like you said your parents moved to Australia and I'm assuming they did that at a time where phone calls were probably the best way to communicate with family. Now you have Facetime, Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, Viber, etc. So many ways to stay in touch and see each other and talk face to face any time of day right there in your hands for free. Even though it's tough I feel like you've got your family right there to talk to anytime you want in a way that they wouldn't have done when they moved to another country. Don't know if that's any comfort. It probably isn't but that's just what I'm thinking

I know a bit what it's like to leave your family and be almost completely alone. At 18 my folks dropped me off at a national park to work for the summer. I put my stuff in my dorm room, no one else was there at all and then I watched my parents drive away. It's a strange empty feeling one can't describe.
Moving country is tough. I did it 14 years ago (UK to Switzerland) It was hard at the start, but it's been totally worth it. Wish you every success.

Hello there Holly, you may be interested to know that LEGO have improved and revamped their Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall set No. 76435.
It now features a courtyard, the Great Hall itself now features an improved dining hall, all four banners are now included, the ceiling has both the floating candles & the night sky and includes the Troll from the first film/movie. This set can now be extended by adding the Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class set No. 76431, which slides underneath the Great Hall itself.

Girl I empathize with your home sickness. When I moved from Texas to Oklahoma I missed my family so much. It gets better over time, but you have the advantage of living next toy the happiest place on earth! Welcome to the United States!

I think you will get use to driving on the right side of the road better with your own car, you will learn where all the controls are because its the same car if you had to use different cars. And also welcome to the USA.
Talk to your family everyday…i felt empty when i moved across the country from my family…talking to them everyday helped tremendously
