I always wonder why Sebastian goes to bed so early. He must be up at the crack of dawn. Our sweet Sebastian. How I love to see his beautiful little face. Best wishes for complete heaiing of his eye.
I don't think he goes to bed so early intentionally, he falls asleep early. When we see him being put to bed he can hardly keep his eyes open. I guess because he has special needs Steph just goes with the flow. Better to get up early than to have a cranky Sebastian the night before 😊
People and children who have congenital heart disease are almost always more tired than an average person. Even though Sebastian’s heart is in a healthy and corrected stage, his heart still isn’t A-typically functioning. The heart works SO hard to sustain the body. And even just the little amount that his heart is working to compensate for what it still lacks- it’s like his body is getting a workout all day long!! He’s actively burning calories all day without doing anything because his heart is working just a little extra to be at normal/ acceptable standards. (Imagine working out or running and jogging around all day…) you and your heart would be TIRED! lol. That’s how it is for Sebastian every day, even with minimal activity. His body can be still but his heart is still doing extra. So he’s a pretty sleepy kid! Always has been! He goes to sleep around 6/630pm and doesn’t wake up until 7:30 am!! That’s just him! lol. 🩵🩵

Your energy is amazing, girl. But the really wonderful part of your family is that everybody is happy and feels loved. The dog, the bird, the son, the husband.....everybody is calm and satisfied because they know they are loved and cared for. Nothing more to say.
Pouring love into the people who make you who you are should be the easiest task to accomplish each day! I’m so thankful every day for Gio, and for Sebastian. And for Zeus and Nalah because all of us together are just so blessed. Even on the hard days I just feel thankful and knowing I can go to bed and Gio will come home to a clean house- it just makes me feel more calm! lol.

I'm not sure how long I've been watching, but I want to say that I have seen Sabastian go through so many stages. He has always been ALL boy. The rougher and louder the better as far as he is concerned! It just cracks me up! You are a great boy mom for sure! ❤
Wonderful segment, Steph! Thank you for sharing! My mom cares for my sister, who is also medically complex, and she finds the routine of cleaning and tidying up very relaxing and therapeutic for her. She tells me that is gives her sense of control of at least one aspect of her life, and helps to ground her. My father died 30 years ago when he was 49 (he was a combat vet) and my mom raised us alone, never remarried, and has been my sister’s caregiver ever since. Her life has been difficult, but she is the best mom and has loved and cared for us so wonderfully. Hugs to you, Steph ❤ #StephAfterHours

I have a grown up son with autism still living with me, but I had frustration with Doctors over the years and I agree with what you said earlier no one knows our kids like we do so you stand your ground and keep on being Sebastian’s voice. Our Staffordshire terrier mix is like Zeus. Ollie will listen, sit, wait and we can even walk away and until he hears “ok” he won’t eat. Such good puppers they are ❤❤

You bring back so many memories pries of when my adult kids were young. The minute they went to bed I used to do a lot of cleaning. It was worth the extra effort the next morning. Yeah I hear you, I used to use cleaning, gardening and cooking to decompress. And of course my animals.( I used to have very nice Akita’s that I used to walk at 1-2 am after a bad night in the cardiac ICU I was charge of). But without our animals where would we be.

We adopted him from animal control and at the time assumed his age 1-3 years old but we don’t know for sure. So we think he’s between 4 and 7 years old! It’s hard to tell! He seems so young but we can also see him losing some hearing and going up and down stairs slower but other times he’s unstoppable lol. Maybe he’s 6! lol. That feels like a good guess! 😂
Lol, I love doing the same thing, it makes me feel good when I get cleaning done, I feel like I have accomplished something. Everyone has an outlet or something they enjoy ,so you go girl😊 Your house always looks immaculate in the videos. I've often said to my husband, I don't know how you do all you do. There's alot involved in precious Sebastians care and taking care of your home and your sweet pets. You and Gio do a great job and we can tell that you both have alot of love in your hearts😊❤🙏

I also have a daily routine although mine is in the morning. There are only myself and my husband, 1 small dog and an elderly cat now at home as my 3 sons have their own places. If I do not clean my kitchen, bathroom, hoover and clean the floors etc every day the rest of my day feels disjointed and uncomfortable. It usually takes 2 to 3 hours daily but it is worth it to me for peace of mind. I totally understand where you are coming from

Wow! Your house is so big! And so clean! 😅 Houses here in Italy are probably on average the size of your kitchen and living room alone, and even in Australia, where I'm from, American homes outdo ours for size by a mile! Lol, I love doing the same thing, it makes me feel good when I get cleaning done, I feel like I have accomplished something. Everyone has an outlet or something they enjoy ,so you go girl😊 Your house always looks immaculate in the videos. I've often said to my husband, I don't know how you do all you do. I also have a daily routine although mine is in the morning. There are only myself and my husband, 1 small dog and an elderly cat now at home as my 3 sons have their own places. If I do not clean my kitchen, bathroom, hoover and clean the floors etc every day the rest of my day feels disjointed and uncomfortable. It usually takes 2 to 3 hours daily but it is worth it to me for peace of mind. I totally understand where you are coming from
