Any soundbar or sound system will be better than the normal TV sound. I got a Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos soundbar in my small bedroom. 3 meters between the walls and 2,4 meters from the floor to the ceiling. The sound bounces everywhere and the sound quality is great! That soundbar usually cost $1000, but I got it for $800 with increased warranty as well.
Another great video Paul showing something different for those who want an easy cheaper way of getting home surround. Remember when some tv's like Toshiba used to come with extra speaker's, i Remember parents got a wharfdale surround system back in the day. I have a full set up with amp and monitor floorstanders. Awaiting to set up in new extension. Can i ask where you got the fireplace as the top looks big enough to put my monitor c50 centre on, would look good with tv above
Not a bad lil system for a fair price. The fact it has atmos and e arc make it a great deal!! I just bought a samsung Q990D soundbar set up to use with my new samsung 65 inch in my master bedroom. It sure sounds great!!! Thanks for all u do Paul!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
A dedicated amp and speakers are always better in my opinion, but like you said, soundbars have their place, and not everyone has the funds or space for a big sound setup. You can spend more on just cables for a full on speaker setup, than you can for this soundbar, which is crazy.
@@TheTechGiantRUclipsAlso, if soundbars can come with wireless speakers why haven't av receivers moved into 21st century yet?! True home cinema is a prisoner to wire.
I have a 5.1 surround system that includes a Yamaha amplifier rated at 100W RMS Per channel. Jamo (made in Denmark) wooden enclosure speakers in cherry wood finish with crossover (2x E670 Front floor standing speakers 150W each. 1x E6CEN centre speaker 150W. 2x E610 Rear surr. Bookshelf speakers 140W each, and one E6SUB 10" 100W Subwoofer). It's a big set and very powerful, it can brake window glass! Sound is crystal clear, rich and full, the whole spectrum, it's awesome. Wood has much better acoustic properties than plastic. Of course these days we can find very good soundbar sets. I think it's mostly a matter of space & budget for somebody to make a choice.
Hey really nice video. I am looking for a 5.1 for my TV Room which is a big 20 feet by 24 feet hall type room. And what I want is a setup without wires going from TV all the way to the wall in front of TV which is like 20 feet away. So the question is does this comes with bluetooth or maybe wifi connection where 2 side speakers can play the sound / audio without any wired connection ? As I am looking to buy for my parents so sound clarity should be good but my budget isn't big.
Unlike dedicated height / in-ceiling channels with a wired setup, Dolby Atmos on a soundbar is basically what one would call virtual! I prefer to call it bouncy bouncy reflected soundstage imaging 😊
I have small gaming tv's and the old games have stereo, prologic 2, and dolby digital. Will it decode or upmix stereo to 5.1. I read the d50 rear speakers just Mirror the front stage.
You won't get real atmos of any sort with that. It will be simulated atmos if it outputs any form of atmos and that won't sound anything near as good as atmos without up firing speakers. Plus the soundbar itself will have just two front firing speakers with no center or side firing speakers. It's ok for the price. But it's definitely not an atmos soundbar.
Good video, there's all this brilliant technology yet there's sod all on to watch so I won't bother getting anything like this ,hence why I don't pay for a TV license.
The company that male the soundbar have been in contact, and are sending me over a discount code to offer to my viewers, that should bring the price right down 😊
Paul, unfortunately I have to reprimand you. A wired system and you haven't measured the cable lengths! Very important, especially the cable length for the rear speakers. I still consider you the king of measuring, but the danger of losing this title is lurking 😉😃
@@leftwinger764personally, I would persevere and carry on saving and purchase a pair of budget stereo speakers, which would preferably would be driven by a budget AVR, especially if one also enjoys listening to music, too
@@totalplonker824 You have a point there. A soundbar in the highest segment reproduces music very nicely. But it is still behind. For dolby-atmos reproduction, a separate amplifier and speakers are in my opinion no longer superior.
You are clearly not currently aware of what a high-end cable-free Earc HDMI Dolby Atmos soundbar, with Dolby Atmos speakers and a subwoofer, performs today.
Massively outdated system even in 2022 standards ! I personally run Sony tv and Denon soundbar equipment over virtually wireless connections . Pays to go for premium , reminds me too much of tv sound equipment circa 2006 🤣
Dolby Atmos compatible, heh ,lol.people dont understand things and belive some marketing bullshido..or you have atmos,or you dont.if you have soundbar you dont have

Great job, Paul. You look so relaxed doing this demo. A vital RUclipsr to help people feel happy. Defo for me anyway ♥️👍
Best video on this soundbar .Cheers mate
@@philiplloyd9451 thank you 😊
The key here is it accepts a dolby atmos signal, but the sound you hear will barely resemble true dolby atmos
Tbh for 100$ and some change it’s pretty dang good for what it is 😂
Nice one Paul, always love how thorough you are and your infectious good humour. Keep up the great work
I love your videos, man. Thank you for your work 👍
Glad you like them!
And it's my pleasure 🙂

It’s fake atmos unfortunately. You need an up facing speaker for true atmos.

Its currently under 200 on Amazon for in the UK, actually way under 200
Interesting will have to check if amazon can ship to this country.
Any Dolby Atmos soundbar is as good as your ceiling if it will bounce the sound off the ceiling or absorb it
Bounce or absorb, which is it?
Depends on the bass penetration lool idk both just go with it @@totalplonker824

Thanks for the demo. How is the front left and right channels with this short soundbar?
Hi, where are you seeing this for £170? Amazon its currently £230

How can it be Dolby Atmos with no upfiring height speakers🤔
No sound bar is truly Dolby compatible, it can just accept the signal and, at best, replicate it

Looks neat - sadly, not under £200 anymore - now £239
It's £240 with a £40 voucher on Amazon currently
It was only £170 at time of filming.
Think there is a £40 voucher you can click to apply on Amazon.
Found it right now on amazon £170
