What if I legitimately WANT to treasure Christ...but I just don't? My heart is fickle and often I find myself treasuring many things above my relationship with Christ - obviously this is wrong and I try to wean myself away from that and back to Him. But I certainly can't "count it all loss" in my own strength, and my prayers in the matter seem to amount to nothing! Am I destined to not truly treasure or love Christ until heaven?
rob wilkinson I don't think so either, but that wasn't what I was referring to - I want to feel truly FULFILLED in Christ alone, and for whatever reason I'm not and I can't. Is this normal for believers, or something that won't happen until glorification?

My friend, peace to you! 1. Find the pattern or trigger which leads you to become tempted and therefore sin. Do whatever you can to eliminate it or change it. 2. Find a group of Christian men whom you trust which can help keep you accountable and to whom you can confess your struggle. The devil and his demons will have an advantage over you if you aren't in communion with people that can walk side by side with you in this (your church or community of Christians). Bring your sin out of the dark and into the light so that you can be free through Christ who works through your fellow Christians. 3. Pray continually for the Holy Spirit to fill you and know that God hears you. 4. God's grace is sufficient for you! Though we are weak, He is strong! Though we fail time and again, God is not surprised by your sin. He understands we are human and our imperfect nature. Keep repenting and turning from your sin, and asking forgiveness. His glory is ever greater because of the unceasing grace he gives to us! He never limits His forgiveness. Praise God!!
Everyone has struggles. This tainted life is not an easy one. Sin in our nature and the temptation in this world. We are to blame when we don’t hold on tight to the Lord and i am one of them. Damn near almost imploaded my life. But it’s a good thing He holds on to us ! At the end of the day I keep my hope alive and just keep getting back up. But I understand I’m on this wave now but sometimes I am so filled with guilt and shame it’s hard.
I find that it is better to separate yourself from the taint. It's this life and there is taint. I'm not happy that there is taint I'm way less happy that taint is placed before me. I didn't put the (THAT not this there is no "this" as the Lord's people when it comes to taint unless it was the Lord's people.and then there should be wailing "Lord what have ... done please forgive ...") taint THERE (in front of me) and it's not MY fault. (It really isn't) Everything is working exactly how it should. (That doesn't mean that nobody does anything wrong it just means they are wrongdoers)
@Anchored Alliance well I do agree, in fact being shaken is a bad thing, if the ground is going to shake it's going to shake, but that doesn't mean you have to be scared. In fact it's usually quite the opposite that will save you. I guess the point is not to be at fault for the ground shaking. That doesn't mean that things working the way they do work means that one is at fault for being transgressed. It's not like I'm saying the angel that shakes the ground is to blame for someone doing something that triggered it. It's just that, you know, there's just an expectation that things should be one way and someone transgressed holiness and the ground shook, and it's not wrong to expect to be respected and to do that you don't even have to have that expectation you just don't expect to be transgressed, and the Lord expects that His people aren't and that He isn't transgressed Himself. But I'm not really going into that and John isn't in Revelation. But I will say that this is true even if others feel transgressed by Holiness. I think that's what Jesus was saying about being humble..
Thats pretty much the same with me, my life almost unravelled totally a few weeks ago. Asked for help, in prayer, and got it...like a reset button got pressed. He isnt finished with me just yet. There are some very obvious choices to make in life, like go out and get drunk...or go be with some other believers and encourage one another. We arent perfect but if we knowingly live with some compromise, especially a real bad one such as living with someone and unmarried...theres going to be real trouble.

I don't believe that jist because a poor person can be let to get drunk according to a king who wishes to rule over a people that it is a requirement to be uneducated and drunk. It seems more use of my mind to work on problems and make educational ideas available to people even if I can't use them because the world is against me, so that it learns more about how not to work against me. So I help people even to my own detriment. I don't really "congregate" in a less traditional sense (less traditional being that which is later from and not what the Apostles did) I talk to different people. I don't care if they're my enemies. If they need help they need help. I like watching these videos and hearing them, I spend a lot of time talking to angels and sometimes the saints. People think I'm crazy or it's satan and they don't understand my enemies killing each other. I think.the angels are offended though and probably the saints that if it's not national socialism then it's "Probably satan" or I'm "crazy" because I believe in what I see and I don't believe in what I see and the then things are said to me by these angels and saints and they happen. I think it's interesting what people want to see as "high places" isn't what God sees them as. I really don't like sin showing up and I like travelling and checking out different things. Father keeps getting angrier at them and He gets really mad when.they try to stop me or hold what I have seen against me.
Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. My issue is that I don't want to surrender my sin. I know I can't do it without God but I dont want God. I wish I wanted God, but I'm not sure if that feeling is genuine or not. I still love sin and I wish I didnt love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that God saves me.
Yo Idk how to feel I’m afraid that when I pass I didn’t make it in time to find Jesus and rn im trying but I’m dealing with sins too like masturbation, I like getting high,and worst of all in my head I think to much so I’d have doubts and wonder some times a tiny bit I’d hope atheism is real cuz I’m so terrified of hell Gods wrath and I do get sad cuz I feel lost at the time of me typing this I feel lost how do I find him how do I truly with all my heart devote my life to him and fully believe in him

There's probably one key thing I could advise around this and I'll say it in two points: - Stop trying to bare the weight of your salvation on your own two shoulders. You're free from the law. Works are a produce of salvation, not the precursor to it. It is Jesus that keeps you, not you that keep Him, so rest in His grace - Ask God to help you love Him. You need Him to love Him. You are the sheep, He is the shepherd. Let Him lead. Personally I ask God for two things: to reveal Himself to me so that I can fall more in love with Him, and to change the posture of my heart so that I would desire Him; You cannot do anything good on your own, your good works are as "filthy rags" before Him to quote Isaiah. It is Him that needs to work in you and all you need to do is humble yourself, seek Him, pray, and He will do the healing.

Don't judge a brother for his lack of maturity or struggle; I can assure you that Christ is currently VERY patient with you and bearing with your lack of kindness to your fellow brother or sister in Christ (assuming you are actually a follower of Christ; by your comments I can't say- let them be known by their fruit). With the same measure that you judge, you will be judged. Go learn some theology, start loving God, and start loving your neighbor.
