    Sad day. Like you said, I think I love the motor in mine the most. You know I have a 3400. And same thing, it'll pop right off, cold or hot. Run hard all day and she thanks me when we're done. And yeah, maybe not the fastest, but faithful as can be!

    Chris, I sure liked the 2800. Pretty machine. It served you well. Will miss it.

    You fixed it up nicely and got a lot of good use out of it. Hopefully you did well in selling it and it will help a lot getting your house project going.

    Your phone blowing up is people going "NOOOO!!! NOT THE LINK-BELT!!!" But hey -- new house & stuff, so you've got that going for you.

    I finally got past keeping equipment around that I don't need or use enough. Still hard parting with something. You're like me, it doesn't take long to sell something when people know it's been taken care of. It pays to service regular and keep them clean. I really enjoy your videos! Enjoy new house when you get started.

    Glad you got your use out of it and found it a new home. Nothing kills a nice machine like setting around.

  • @regsparkes6507

    That's what I do ( or used to do ) buy an older machine, fix them up almost like new, or certainly a lot better than when I first bought it, then sell it . Bummer, but then not really, I get a lot of use from it and pleasure too, sometimes. Then let somebody else have use of it.
    I know one thing for sure Chris, your '2800' gave me a lot of viewing pleasure ! Thanks.

    Hi The old girl sure ended up being a nice machine. I think we been round long enough to know there will be another "Project machine" as you got some spare cash and the price was right to buy fix and flip another one for more money to build a house..
    I've been round long enough working with machinery to know in a lot of cases older machines don't "accidentally" catch fire. There is usually a very good technical reason. I talk to a lot of wrecking yard owners to and they say the same when ripping burned equipment apart, and the smashed gears and things they find. The fire was just a cheaper get out for junk equipment and to move on to newer better stuff without a trade in or big repair bill L.O.L.

    oh wow..congrats on the new house man!! Also we are getting a pond dug on our little farm in June(I will video the whole thing of course), what would be the ONE main thing I should ask/watch out for during this process? The pond will be about an acre and Im told we will need a well to fill it since water sheds away from it.

    • @letsdig18
      @letsdig18  7 лет назад

      ID find a better spot that had some watershed going to it. if not thats going to be a nightmare to keep a pond that big full in the summer.

    • @LangFamilyFarmsLA
      @LangFamilyFarmsLA 7 лет назад

      Sadly this is the only spot. I was considering having a trench dug and letting the gutters from the house feed into the pond as well, plus we live in South louisiana so we get a LOT of rain. Damn Im a bit nervous now, but a pond in the front yard with an island in the middle is necessary to complete the dream picture my wife and I want sooo....I guess I'll dig :)
