I'm only a handful of months older than the original Tsukihime but I'm sure it must've been a concept in the creator's heads for longer than that... as a fairly recent fan I can only imagine how long the wait must've been for the remake for longtime fans

that's such a great idea.
There is a powerful melancholy in this track, even if it isn' t the most complex. It's like... you're walking away from a chapter of your life, and despite how much that saddens you, you know you have to keep walking forward.

A bit late but I thought Alice Kuonji is the ‘Witch of The Holy Night’ since she’s a witch while Aoko Aozaki’s not, she’s a magician?
"Witch of The Holy Night" is the ""oficial"" translation of the name, but is very wrong. The original name is "Mahou Tsukai no Yoru", wich means "Sorcerer's Night", "Mahou Tsukai" it's a user of Magic, then refers to Aoko.

@@JTHMRulez1 In my opinion, the "Sorcerer's Night" part in the title is rather a refrence to soujuurou for two main reasons :
1- A sorcerer in aoko's definition as explained in mahoyo is anyone who creates a miracle not just True magic users, and soujuurou literally created multiple miracles in the girls's eyes by saving aoko in the attraction park and saving alice from the rabid dogs and finally defeating Beowulf who literally one shotted alice and aoko and all of these acts were done at night and in terms of miracles aoko showed only one and that is when she activated the fifth true magic so now who do you think is the true sorcerer of the night ?
2- Witch of the holy night is aoko rather than alice and that is because the only one who showed major magical acts in the holy night was aoko rather than alice who mainly who watched the fight .

This song remind me of speaking to akiha late at night in the garden of the mansion, i swear is like a memory of a life other than my own. The colors, the night, the silence and akiha presence as real as any other memory of mine. Tsukihime is magical like that.

Tsukihime is such a beautiful piece of media for me its amateurish has weird writing sometimes but The background story characters and especially the writing resonate with me so hard then any other piece of fiction has ever reach me except maybe Kamen rider Build and Zero one but im not here to talk about that This song just makes me feel the emotion hard work genuine passion Type Moon had when making Tsukihime
Tsukihime will always remain as my favorite Video game ever created Thank you Nasu and everybody else in Type moon at that time for creating this beautiful piece of media.

Seeing the old art and listening to the old ost is really special. The original Tsukihime is only accessible because of the fans and it is likely that one day it'll disappear. Cherish this piece of history while we still have it.

Just booted up the game after a long, and I mean a really long time, and hearing this once again gives me the biggest nostalgia trip I've ever had in my whole life.
Finished the game a week ago and still can't get over it... might like it even more than fate, Hisui is best girl for sure though. Guess I'm joining the club of waiting for the remake, pls Nasu, or at least an fgo collab. Time for Kagetsu Tohya, hopefully it can lull me from the depression that Tsukihime left me with... what a masterpiece!
The remake is coming according to his recent interviews. It's more hoping he just hurries up than anything else.

Blame Fate's sudden explosion of popularity for that. And now with FGO is more lucrative for them to milk that cow instead of the franchise that hasn't seen a release in over a decade (Melty Blood AACC original PC release) and Carnival Phantasm doesn't count.

Sorry if I get a little too emotional here.
Tsukihime has been one of the greatest, no THE greatest game, story, anime, visual novel I've ever played. I've only done Arcueid route by now and I'm gonna finish every last route AND piece of media there is to Tsukihime. The story is just too good - there's nothing else like it, the battles were very, VERY good and gut clenching, the music just gives me all the feels, the characters have insane development and it always surprises you. I just wish this game was much much more played and known which is why I go out of my way to recommend everyone I know to watch Tsukihime. even my dad! - I actually told my dad the entire Arcueid route (but I had to tailor some of it due to obvious reasons). He loved it.

UsernameHerePeople Most TYPE-MOON works are spinoff collaborations. Counting only original works, there's like... Notes, KnK, Tsukihime, F/SN, and Mahoyo. It's not until you add the Melty Bloods and Fate/Zeros and half-assed fandisks and so on that they've become prolific. So I'm inclined to agree with the other guy, I think.
pondrthis1 F/HA despite being a fandisc is a pretty large product though, it has a console port and all.

F/HA is still a spinoff, as is Kagetsu Tohya--but these are the two I would put in the "kinda sequels" category that could go either way. Anything else in that list (that wasn't in mine, of course) isn't really produced by Type-Moon, but by collaborations. Hell, Fate/Zero is a fanfic. A really GOOD one by a really good author, but still.
I've got nothing against the collaborations or spinoffs, but I can certainly see the point of the original poster. There aren't very many unique IPs coming from Type-Moon.

Nasu wrote all of Fate/Extra, Extra CCC, Extella, and Extella Link
Nasu originally wrote Fate/Prototype back when it was known as Old Fate
Nasus written plenty of Singularities for Grand Order along with Events
Nasu wrote all of Notes., Mahoyo, FSN, Tsukihime, and KnK
Nasu even rewrote the HF movie and UBWs anime.
Literally the only thing Nasu doesnt touch is Prisma Ilya (although he actively reads it) and Fate Strange Fake along with El Melloi Case Files. Oh and Imperial Holy Grail Wars.
Oh and he wrote Cannan. Lol

This song and Hope from Umineko was one of the reasons I started to learn piano, thanks Tsukihime. This game atmosphere and music always touched me, and maybe in the future with some pratice I'll be able to reproduce some of these songs.

Man this game is special for me I hate magic and fantasy as a genre because it strikes me as too unrealistic and hard to get into I just hate that but this game was different in many ways yeah magic, supernatural everything is there but this game first and foremost is about characters and their struggles and also Shiki is a good protagonist for once I won't spoil but game is a masterpiece played through Arceuid Route and have been a fan ever since lets hope Remake at least will be as good as this one

No really, a modern remake of Tsukihime will have an entire composition with dozens of tracks. If you want to go back to only 10 tracks that will be a bit hard. An option to just replace the remixes with the originals is possible, but they would stand out between the better executed music.
