Two cents from the Arcustrator: great reaction, Wave, even if this wasn't your first reaction to the song. I listened to some Hagane tracks today in light of their recent announcement, so GS's unleashed, raw energy is a refreshing change of pace. The dotted-rhythm groove in the drums and guitars establishes some relentless drive; don't recall hearing that before. Hana continued to reset the bar for vocalist-drummer up until her move out front; no one else comes close as far as I've seen. Neat how Mai and Nene quickly shifted to some classical ballet during the carousel section and then went right back into the fast-paced hype. Oreo sure knows how to set a scene with her tone banks. Speaking of which, she contributes effectively to a magisterial aura during Tomo-Zo's guitar solo when she adds the synth choir ahs, Hana shifts to a half-time groove, and Koga makes the right adjustment in her playing. Achh -- the way the the entire band re-directs its focus in support of T-Z at that point gives me emubumps, and that's in addition to her virtuosity!
This for me is a great example of 3 completely different feels in one song but transitioned without feeling jarring like I’ve heard from other bands when switching styles within songs.
Note the lyrics, 2nd verse starts with “gachaGacha”, translates as clattering…
Wave I love seeing you react to new, to you, Gacharic Spin. Your facial expressions are priceless and funny, full of amazement. And that's because you know what's good. The first time i saw Dollsboxx, even after seeing Thrill by Band Maid for the first time, 2019. they were, and still are my favorite band. G. S. have now taken their place. Band Maid and Nemophila are right there too. Speaking of Nemo. I just saw a Live stream of G. S. joining them at Naon Yaon doing a Nemo song. It was Hana and Angie singing with Mayu and that red hair O.G. singer thats always there. Also Tamu on drums of course with Oreo on Keys, and the great Tomo (my favorite guitarist). You gotta see it !
