That was a great video indeed - hot in every sense of the term! I loved the push and pull between tough climbs and swooping descends, between your riding on Evan's wheel and exchanging brief comments with other riders -- and the parts where you struggle alone. The music perfectly reflects the dynamic between these sequences. The little engine has a fine ear for tunes as well as the grit to stick it out when the going gets tough! (And it ain't all that little if the photographs are any indication! 😉) And how fitting is the ice bath at the end of the hottest ride in Alabama! Loved it all! Thanks for taking us along!

Thank you for watching and it's my pleasure! Your commentary adds a nice reflective touch and as always brings it all together. Yes I took my time with the music selection to ensure it would fit the moments as I feel did and as did you! It was a beautiful course and very enjoyable to ride. It certainly was hot and it was a nice refreshing feeling getting in the cold pool! Thank you for coming along for the ride!

Thanks for sharing that recollection! I enjoyed making that one and in fact, started using parchment paper when baking ever since that video, courtesy of someone commenting about it. Yes it's been fun and a joy to share on the importance and value of sound nutrition and exercise. Thanks for watching! 🙏

Sheesh! That must have been really hot! In the photo it is funny Evan looks like he is in heaven while you look like you are getting the full force of the sun on you! I imagine that was a great ride though, I just know I can't do real heat. If even you look like you are dying and you are from Louisiana, it really must have been hot! lol (Of course, what kind of monster is Evan? lol)
Maybe take it down 40-50 degrees, add some shade and maybe a sea breeze and that is perfect for me! lol

Evan is a machine. Cycling is a passion of his and he is an exceptional rider. The ride certainly lived up to it's name. It was cool riding through college football legacy too. The heat wasn't a real bother. I was just trying to look focused for the photographer lol. I find it interesting, but it doesn't really get too hot while riding especially at a good pace and there were many breaks with tree shade coverage along the course. From what I recall it started to feel pretty oppressive towards the end of the ride, riding slower through the city on black asphalt with no tree coverage. And then once you stop riding and start walking around like I did afterward, man it was pretty unbearable, that's why I was pretty much hanging out under shade in that tent and around the building, but it was awesome to get in that cold pool! That felt great especially after the ride and in the heat. Thanks for watching and chiming in!

I think he might've 😏 Either way, he wouldn't have gotten too far with that flat!
