Hi i can get dolby atmos on my xbox one. I understand it can work on headphones. Can it work with speakers with a heaphone jack, ie 5.1 pc speakers connected to my tv and the xbox connected to the tv hdmi input. I am confused because i spoke to microsoft and they said it is impossible to get surround sound through a headphone jack, that i can only get stereo sound with a 3.5mm connection. Can you clarify i would be very greatful. Thank. You for your time
Microsoft is correct, you cannot get surround sound on a headphone jack because they only support stereo sound, your best bet with a headphone jack is virtual surround sound. But you can get dolby atmos on Xbox one. Just install the Dolby Access app and follow the instructions on how to enable it. You can use the app with headphones or your Dolby Atmos home theater speakers.
They put more effort into this commercial than the actual audio processing on the fuckin phone. Its just an EQ and spatializer or something that can't even play actual Atmos tracks
I like the Dolby atmos in my mobile phone. It works good on a stereo as well. It makes my music sound more enjoyable
