@@chuckmaddison2924 yeah mate I have an old technics hifi stereo system with surround speakers. I got it in 1999 and paid $1200 for it and it has some insane features that came with it that took me ages to work out what they were all for. Back before a HDMI cable was invented it was the old yellow , red & white cables that connected to the DVD or VCR back then. The cassette deck has the Dolby noise reduction but it takes away a lot of the treble and kinda muffles the sound too much , but it does take away a lot of the hiss sound that cassette tapes make when its at a quiet part of a song. I always had it off when the music was cranking but it made dubbing other cassettes effective when using the Dolby noise reduction. I first used just the pro logic to run my movies and back then was good , the centre and 2 rears it came with. As I learnt what the hell 5.1 actually was I gave it a try and it kicked ass from the plain pro logic. It was much more effective with where things were in watching movies etc , like for an example, a horror movie in the woods and a tree branch gets stood on and it came from the same side that it was actually stood on , where as the old pro logic, the same noise would come evenly through both surrounds rather than the speaker where the actual noise came from. Once I worked out what 5.1 actually was I was obsessed with ways to make movies sound so good. Also forever trying new positions to place my surrounds lol. Hi and low , really close and really further away to get the best experience possible lol. To this day I still have this technics stereo and will keep it forever. It would have been one of the 1st hifi stereo system to have had a 5.1 channel option i think. It was strange though how on the actual stereo system it says 6 CH discrete input as the button to press when I use it. I figured the 6 was for the sub but I also thought that the 5.1 .. the 1 ment sub lol. Either way it was the best thing they could have ever done to make a living room sound like a big cinema for back in the late 90s. And to be perfectly honest, I really don't think that they have enhanced all that much better over the 23 years since. I have a 7.1.2 Samsung sound bar I use now with the sub & 2 rears with unfired speakers for atmos and dts x and it does sound really good , but to use it for music it sounds like shit compared to music on my old technics system.

When recording the top end is boosted so is well above the hiss. On play back the curve is reversed cutting. So as the top of the recording goes down it takes the noise with it. The Dolby Atmos on the new iPhone is crazy good. I’m surprised how well it sounds for a mobile device. Not really with this video but when you watch Dolby content in the Apple TV app. It really sounds amazing. Easily the best audio from smartphone speakers. The sound comes from both ends and the center of the display. Youd think there was a speaker in the center.
@@Alright_OK Because I also owned the Galaxy S20 at the time of posting that (this comment is two years old). The speakers on that didn’t even compare to the iPhone. S10 for me, Dolby Atmos on.
On S9 (without earphones), turning Atmos of and off trying to hear the difference. The colours and the black look really good on the S9s screen, but I think I get a better experience of the OLED display without my lifeproof case, as well as Atmos (as the case blocks sound coming from the bottom speaker)
S20+
Note 10 plus. Cant believe it's this good without headphones
Oneplus 7 pro 🤷🏼♂️
Wow!! That super bass at the end... I loved it
The Dolby Atmos on the new iPhone is crazy good. I’m surprised how well it sounds for a mobile device. Not really with this video but when you watch Dolby content in the Apple TV app. It really sounds amazing. Easily the best audio from smartphone speakers. The sound comes from both ends and the center of the display. Youd think there was a speaker in the center.
Lmao. No. Samsung is the King.
I'm not on either side but how do you know it's the best?
@@Alright_OK Because I also owned the Galaxy S20 at the time of posting that (this comment is two years old). The speakers on that didn’t even compare to the iPhone. It’s only with Dolby though that it’s really crazy good on the iPhone. Dolby on the S20 didn’t really sound too different from regular stereo audio.
@@dlaroc Oh alright, thank you for replying
FOR BEST DOLBY ATMOS FUNCTION HUAWEI P30 PRO IS THE BEAST 💙
I just tested this on my new s21 ultra and I must say it is truly amazing how two speakers right in front of me, can make it sound like there are speakers all around me! Wow!
I watched this on my iPhone 11 Pro, and it works better than expected!
This sounds different with my buds pro than with my Mi in ear hd pro's.
The directional audio is out of this world 🥰
It's freaking awesome on my oneplus 7

Awesome, it's actually 5.1 while using Dolby Pro Logic II on a Home Cinema. ❤️
Omg! What?! How?! 😄😄😄 I'm watching this on my S21 Ultra, and the sound moves behind me😂 This is amazing!
I've been looking for this demo everywhere! Definitely one of the more impressive ones out there. The link unfortunately is not working for me though, any chance you can put it up again?
