Hi, Thank you very much for this very clear video. I am sure many many people, including me, found it extremely helpful. My relay box had a red light as the thermostat battery needed changing, so I did. However, when I followed the procedure, all went well until the pairing step. The thermostat showed the signal icon, but the relay would not stop flashing red. In spite of that, I went on trying the boiler, and it did switch on, but I think it did not switch off when the set temperature was reached. Also, the relay now shows a solid red light and a slow flashing green light! Could you please advise what to do? Many thanks.
Thank you so much for this clear explanation. I've rebound the thermostat and relay box successfully. But that has introduced two new issues - 1) the override for the heating doesn't kick in, and 2) for the pre-set time for the radiators the heating is very modest. It comes on but at a very low temperature. The thermostat reads 17.5 degrees and the target temperature is 21.5 degrees. The flame icon is visible, and the RFID very occasionally appears. Any thoughts? Could the rebinding have changed more settings? We've always had full heat or no heat in the radiators - no halfway point. All individual radiator thermostats are turned on and I've just tried switching them all to maximum but the override is not having an effect. Thanks.
Unfortunately Howard you are asking us to diagnose your heating system problems with a crystal ball (joke)! :) It sounds like you have an issue not associated to the room thermostat, so this needs investigating by a heating installer. I thought if I pressed it while I went out, it would stall the heating till I got back but it appears to do nothing. Can you help please
The power button should turn the heating off. You need to bear in mind the thermostat is only one part of a heating system and if the other components are faulty, then it won't matter what you set the thermostat to, it might still operate? Obtain a local heating installer to come and check your heating system for you.
What to do when your thermostat shows an error - SYNC? The green light on the heating side is not working. I tried everything to turn it on but it doesn't help. How can I start the heating?

Thanks for this. Have now re set and all ok.
Glad it helped
I'm afraid the CLR screen doesn't come up, only the Inst screen. The down button does nothing after this, the Up bottom only gives other options - not the CLR screen. I would be very grateful if you could advise how else to rebind?
Are you sure you have a DTD92E? If you take the batteries out, does the code say DTS92E or DT90E? If it is a DTS92E then following the video will result in the correct menus displaying.
hi how do i fix my blank thermostat? it's been doing well for a few months, but now it's totally blank even when I changed the batteries
Might need to replace it? They aren’t much money - thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk/product/pro-wireless-digital-room-thermostat/
Hi Richard - this is super helpful. I have a related question. Is it possible to pair / bind a DTS92E with an HR92UK - I have long curtains which cover the radiator so the HR92UK doesn't get the room up to temperature unless i set it to a much higher temperature than wanted.
Hi, yes you can pair a DTS92E as a room sensor in an evohome HR92 controlled zone. We will have some videos covering this soon, however if you need support doing it in the meantime contact Resideo tech support on 0300 1301299 option 3.
I can’t get my thermostat to go into the cont mode as your describe. The down button does not do anything
Is the thermostat a DT92E or DT90E (should say under the batteries)?
Hi, I have that very thermostat in my living room but however high or low I set the temperature, the radiators heat up to the same degree. What does the power button do? I thought if I pressed it while I went out, it would stall the heating till I got back but it appears to do nothing. Can you help please
The power button should turn the heating off. You need to bear in mind the thermostat is only one part of a heating system and if the other components are faulty, then it won't matter what you set the thermostat to, it might still operate? Obtain a local heating installer to come and check your heating system for you.
@@MWPHS Thank you for that. Something must be faulty so I'll do as you suggest
I don’t have a box to connect my thermostat to. We have a key coming up and we can’t turn the heating on via the thermostat
Technical support can be contacted on 0300 130 1299 option 3 if you are having issues beyond what is covered in this video.
What to do when your thermostat shows an error - SYNC? The green light on the heating side is not working. I tried everything to turn it on but it doesn't help. How can I start the heating?
Sounds like you might have a faulty BDR91 relay box? The thermostat is trying to look for it if it’s saying ‘SYNC’.
I don’t think it’s faulty bcz earlier heating was working. Anyway, do you provide any home visit service to sort out our heating system from Honeywell? We are from London. How can I reach Honeywell customer service in London?
@@AparnaAmbre I'm just an ex-heating installer on RUclips creating these videos. Best thing to do is contact Resideo (Honeywell Home) and see if they have a trained installer in your area - 0300 130 1299.
Lifesavers thank you ❤❤❤
First class mate you got me out of a pickle there and saved me an old fashioned war bashing form my wife
HELP Please! My box is on. However i cannot adjust the temperature? The box is like frozen?
Silly question i know! But what have i done?
No idea sorry? Tech support is on 0300 1301299 though. 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video helped me to sort mine myself 😁
Hi there. The thermostat DTS92E1020 has a blank screen. New batteries did not work. I bought a DT90E1012 from screwfix as the nearest available option but the menu is not the same so I presume this cannot bind with the unit on the wall? Or am I doing something wrong?? Appreciate any help..as Its getting cold!!
A DTS92E is what you wanted, not a DT90 as are completely different thermostats.
Spot on really helpful
Really helpful, thank you 👍
Can you have more that one connected to the relay box for example this thermostat and also the evohome?
CupraBBD the BDR91 has 4 memory slots so in theory yes this would be possible. The question is why?
You probably won’t see this but I can’t get the power button to come up! When I hold it down a key appears as if it’s locked in some way? Can you help?
Power button on the DTS92E? It will come apart and can be fixed, but its not so easy to do.
Life saver !
Thank you !!!!
You're welcome!
I have a no signal message on my honey well clock, what do I do to fix it
Have you contacted tech support? Maybe start there first - 0300 130 1299
I changed the batteries in my Stat (having also confirmed the batteries are indeed working) but I get absolutely nothing on the screen. Does this mean my Stat is kaput?
Ginny Kopacz quite possibly yes. Apologies for the late reply.
I can't get the COnt page to come up
Do you have a DTS92E or DT90 (model code under the batteries). DT90 is hard wired and doesn’t have this menu.
Hey what if I don’t have binder the box with the green light
Then you don’t have a DTS92E. You might have the wired version which is a DT90E? The product model code is normally under the batteries.
@@MWPHS thanks just checked mine says dts92e1020
My boiler is Worcester greenstar 25l combi, my thermostat control st9120c. Bloody council people came to service the boiler now I can’t get the heating on extra hour :(
@@MWPHS ?
@@SM_TheTraveller If you have DTS92E then the programmer could be wireless and you might actually have an RF2 pack. Give the technical support line a call and they should be able to help you - 0300 130 1299.
Great instructions but we dont appear to have a relay box?
If you take the front flap off and the batteries out, what is the model code underneath the batteries? If it is not DTS92E it is not the same one as the one in the video.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to replay. The thermostat is DTS92E1010 I had a look around our boiler room where we have a Honey well controller model ST9520C and I cant find any relay box in that room anywhere?@@MWPHS
The ST9520C is a wireless programmer, so you won't have a BDR91 as shown in this video, it will be directly paired to the Honeywell programmer. If you contact Resideo on 0300 130 1299 they can 100% support you with this. :)@@btulley123
Hi, Super helpful; I rang them and they are sending me the re-binding instructions; thanks again, very much appreciated.@@MWPHS
