Pressing the power button on the thermostat for 2 seconds will turn the heating off, keeping a 5 degree frost protection on, in case the temperature drops below, only then it will fire the boiler. -Ted
Is there an alternative to bdr91 that has a solid state relay instead? Clicking noise from switching on/off with a mechanical relay is quite noticeable in the night

Great video. Is it possible to have 2 receivers binded to 1 controller? I want to use a 2nd receiver to turn an electric radiator on and off when the boiler comes on. I realise I need to add another relay.

Is it just me, or is that some of the most complicated instructions to do something which should be straightforward? Thank you for explaining though. I have set aside an afternoon to do it 🙂

😂😂😂 you set an afternoon a side to do this . I was feeling miserable with my thermostat but you made me laugh. And you are right it's nit straight forward at all. I had to tell my daughter I needed a rest before I can get to sorting out the thermostat. Is this worth the time ? Really? I need the boiler engineer to just show me the on and off button on my boiler. Am sick of this thermostat. Mine goes blank
Hi Brenda, thank you for reaching out to us. The relay would be placed somewhere near the boiler, since it's wired to it. If you're in the UK, this thermostat can also be part of a Sundial RF pack and connected to a wireless enabled programmer, such as the ST9420C, so you might need to check for that. In this link you'll find information about the Sundial RF pack: www.resideo.com/gb/en/products/comfort/timers-and-programmers/sundials/y9120h2009-sundial-rf2-pack-1-y9120h2009/. There is also a photo of the programmer so you will know what you are looking for. -Elena
