The Volvo XC40 looks like a decent vehicle but it's probably priced a bit high for what it is. I believe that no matter how you feel about ICE vs. Electric we are switching.
But another way too look at it is that no car in its price range has as good performance as this.

Frankly speaking if the same version in petrol is costing around 43L on road then this should be very well below 43L owing to the climate friendly car, govt. should intervene and generously put subsidy and keep the cost of this new EV very well below the cost of petrol version. if it can be below 40L then it will be a game changer move.
Believe me that only cost of EV below its petrol or diesel version can bring success to this climate save movement. As there are still many many issues related to EVs. few of them are :-
1) Range Anxiety
2) Not Much Charging Stations.
3) Too Much Charging Time.
4) Battery Life & Replacement Cost Rumored To Be Too High. It surely is too high tough.
5) Electrical Parts Failure and their cost. (Am talking about parts related to drive and control mechanism of electric motor and motor itself)

@@gurmeetsinghkalsi way more, the batteries have a much fixed and variable cost attached to it as compared to an engine, it will obviously be more expensive than a car with an engine
