This feels to me like an insanely huge nerf.. before the patch I was constantly* sending out boats to the 30 min ports with around 2-3k of each food with 9k dust and seemingly getting a div every other boat and doing this till I ran out of food getting like 6-12 divs a day. Since this patch came out, I've sent out millions on millions worth of ships probably like around 8m total worth of ships and have gotten 4 divines. So far this "buff" feels terrible.
It does feel like a nerf to me as well, but I did a full out all stuff boat and it was better then any other full out boat so they buffed 1 and send Ang mega nerfed small shipments
@@jokerkhrono the big shipment I did looked similar to the one you seen in league trailer, but I send like 3 days worth of mats so def not worth it versus the old small boat strategy. Seems like it only buff for people that do like 5 maps for gold don’t play for 3 days then full send.
Yea, I've just been matching the shipment value price to get double the rewards after I've played around with it a lot. To me its basically only send what the place needs and if the ports rewards for the resource is what you want add dust. For instance Ribbon Fell wants Verisium from me currently so I actually send my Dust because you get back a ton of Scarabs back. But if Ribbon Fell wants Crimson Iron I wont send any dust because I dont care about getting Str based armor. The dust cost gets pretty out of control for more benefit if you wanna get more than double because of DR.
So a misconception is that before 550 dust would give you double loot, but it didn't it merely doubled the 'shipping value' which seems to be an entirely pointless value, for the most part what dust did was giving some multiplier to loot but mostly just added a bunch of risk. Basically you'd hit diminishing returns on your goods and then the dust wouldn't actually give you much more just add more to the already diminished returns while still massively spiking the value/risk. Now what they seem to have done is actually make it so that the dust adds an independent value to your shipment, meaning that if you send a bunch of food and an equal amount of dust you get twice the value. Which is far more than you'd get before. The problem is that this isn't really apparent in small numbers and small shipments, this only really REALLY starts to shine at very large shipment sizes of several millions dust. This is mostly a nerf to small shipments with small amounts of dust (yes 8000 dust isn't a whole lot considering you can disenchant uniques for much much more, and even items generally go for 4K+) but has massive implications on large shipments.

Now I don’t really want to ship at all and if I do, it’s only 1 boat and that’s just once every few hours. There is just no way to sustain the crops you’d need for shipments, even with complete level 10 plots. Maybe the play is to focus most of your plots on highest yield crops so you’ll actually have high quantity of a single crop to pump out. I have a feeling it’s really not the play though. 😂
I've done a couple of 2m shipments and one gave me a Divine, so I was like, "Alright, a Divine from a 2m shipment isn't the best but it's profit." But then I did like three more and got nothing. 🤣 and you're right, there's no way to sustain the amount of crops needed to send boats out regularly even with T10 farmers. The empty ship return has happened to me twice prior this patch. No idea what’s going on. Seems running ships is now useless. Farm maps to make currency to trade for runes for weapon enchants is a better usage of time. Every ship you kit you could have run 1-2 maps. SSF is hosed.
sending shipments was fun UNTIL it started to require 100 000+ ores 20k bars suuuure 20k bars aint that much but i'm out out of ores 0 0 0 0 0 go map 1 hour they get converted bars still not enough CASUALLY map 1 week to make one full shipment fuuuuuuuuuck thaaaat anyways big brain move is to buy influenced maps t14-15 and make map runners run them WHITE sell fragments and double the money you spent buying maps aight im out
the amount of resources received really should of scaled with town level if they wanted it to be like other city builders because you just dont get enough
Okay so here is something funny, I sent everything in one shipment. Just because I was finishing the day out said the heck with it, So I sent nearly 1mil dust, 40k of each crop, 22k of each metal, and wanna know what I got in return? 3 chaos, 4 regret orbs, 10 alchemy orbs, 10 chromes, and 30 jeweler orbs. So yea I am done with this dumb ass league with micro managing gold, and resources and fuck all else. It has been nothing but a huge waste of time.
Yeah, I just did a massive shipment of over 100k of each crops with almost 200k orgords and 900k dust, and I got 2 divines. At that rate I can get 2 divines every 2-3 days.
This is probably the way to go. Maybe send a massive shipment every 2-3 days just to pull the slot machine and be done with it. The issue with mapping though is that the T9-10 mappers are really expensive to come by and when they die (with 1% chance mind you), it feels like crap.
So they nerfed the most effective strategy of sending like 1.5k of each herbs and 8k dust on cooldown, but buffed sending giggaships with everything you got once a day. So they are correct, it is a buff in most cases, but the case that everyone was doing is massively nerfed. Why do GGG always play around with words instead of being straight, it isn't rocket science.
Do we have any pictures of giga shipments giving good results, or is that just what we assume? Because I've done some shipments with like 2-3 million value and still got mostly junk. I agree, GGG should have just said they are rebalancing rewards so that larger shipments are more rewarding and smaller shipments are less, instead of saying, "in almost all cases, this is a buff from before."
@@Deucely the giga shipment get own in most cases because since the patch with 10% risk you have a negative event. Why do they have to eat the FULL SHIPMENT of crop every time ? How are they even doing it ? there's enough to feed the roman empire for a week in there
@@jokerkhrono I got 4 divs, 2 power runes and a lot of other stuff from sending a giga shipment right after the patch went live. Hard to say yet if it's overall a big buff or not, but it's definitely a big buff to huge shipments which simply weren't worth it before (unless you wanted to just minimize time spent in kingsmarch and focus on other things)
I am still getting 1 div about every 3 shipments. One time I got 2 divs for each shipment (I would typically only have 2 boats sent out at one time). I have not been sending millions worth of shipments, but I did send a bunch of those around 200k up to 500k total shipment values (mainly like 1000 or 2000 of each type of crops, then fill the rest of the shipment value with the dust. For example, for a 30 mins boat trip, I would send 1000 for each crops, then pad it with about 200k dust).
@@jokerkhrono better luck next time. Before the patch, the most I had got for each shipment was 1 div (sub 1 mil total shipping value); After the patch, as I stated above, I got 2 div at the same time for two shipments. So what I got from this is your upset that you can't send tiny shipments and get divines back? Sounds reasonable...I've only noticed buffs out of it especially with very big shipments
@Hans-Kortz yes I understand that but I think the misunderstanding now is the shipment value vs dust return from what I have tested I have gotten nearly the same rewards as previous with the same small shipments where as with large shipments with large amounts of dust have consistently returned far more than previous...as for the dust situation I have never once "grinded" for dust I just consistantly pick up random junk uniques or buy any cheap tier 0 I can get and throw them in always have more than a million or two dust on hand
This is a huge nerf thanks for the video. Is reddit even complaining about it yet? I was having a blast playing this league but now the demand out ways me trying to farm enough gold and mats to keep things going for the reward. *if you get any reward
No problem 😁. I'm honestly shocked that Reddit hasn't said anything about it yet because it is a really noticeable change. Sadly, I agree that this league is a lot grindier than I was hoping it would be
I agree. I like running maps but there are some days I just want to lab if it’s a good layout but if I do that for a whole day, my town will shut down. I feel like I almost never have gold because I’m always having to bank it for farmers. I’ve also spent millions in high quality rerolls and I’ve only seen 3 level 8 mappers and 1 level 9. I feel like I’m alway in dire need of gold.
I just literally sent 2 Verisium Bars to Ngakanu to guarantee 4-9 stacked decks per ship every 30 minutes lol giga low effort lazy way of guaranteed returns for those who don't enjoy engaging with the mechanic. If you want RNG returns just use the Stacked Decks instead of selling. Have 1200 I'm gonna open up tomorrow morning in a big session
I can't play right now, but I think people invested too much on the town expecting something that wasn't there. I always kept it at bare minimum just to get some gear at the start and bubblegum currency. When a league mechanic is actually profitable, streamers actually use it endgame like affliction or allflames. The town was never meant to be a big source of currency and people who expected it to be are the most frustrated at the end. GGG would never make a "passive" source of income be time efficient - although the auxtion house is xloser to that than the whole town itself. But yeah, shipping was never meant to be a big source of income, but as a mix to help you start and get runes mostly. Currency is bonus.
It's absolutely nerfed to the ground, so no loot on the ground, no loot on the ships , poe in the trash been I had more than enough and this was last drop.

hmm ive gotten 1 divine in like 30 shipments maybe i am just getting super unlucky. random amounts like whatever you have?
@@jokerkhrono pretty much a couple thousand of both farm and dust when I can remember
The amount of money you have to spend to keep up with new dust requirements makes it all seem super pointless.
@@rfo98b yeah the amount you have to send right now is like 450k every 30min which means you have to get a lucky div back to make profit
The empty ship return has happened to me twice prior this patch. No idea what’s going on. Seems running ships is now useless. Farm maps to make currency to trade for runes for weapon enchants is a better usage of time. Every ship you kit you could have run 1-2 maps. SSF is hosed.
@@essteefyou5756 yeah the fact that a bug as big as a ship eating your shipment hasn't been addressed is crazy
sending shipments was fun UNTIL it started to require 100 000+ ores 20k bars suuuure 20k bars aint that much but i'm out out of ores 0 0 0 0 0 go map 1 hour they get converted bars still not enough CASUALLY map 1 week to make one full shipment fuuuuuuuuuck thaaaat anyways big brain move is to buy influenced maps t14-15 and make map runners run them WHITE sell fragments and double the money you spent buying maps aight im out
the amount of resources received really should of scaled with town level if they wanted it to be like other city builders because you just dont get enough
I quit fucking with the ships, the gold upkeep was too annoying. I rather focus on mappers and cut out all the bloat. (Crops/ore/smelting/dust)
@@jokerkhrono I'm simply trying to justify the statement that most cases are a buff.
@@Deucely It feels like one of those things that probably looked good on paper but was never actually tested.
@@deejay7091 maybe I'm just getting super unlucky cause I tried that aswell and I got 1 div outta like 15 ships
@@jokerkhrono better luck next time. Before the patch, the most I had got for each shipment was 1 div (sub 1 mil total shipping value); After the patch, as I stated above, I got 2 div at the same time for two shipments. The cost for the dust is a lot more after patch though, if I wanted to get to somewhat close to the same total shipping value as before.
"this is a buff" is always a lie lmao
Ggg seldom buff things. Mostly nerved😅
For me their buffs are direct nerfs
i got real annoyed with how they worded the notes and i kept shittalking shipping on my discord with my mates, and the dude kept saying it was fine, actually got into an argument that ended with me just alt f4ing out of the game for a full day. thx for ruining my friendships ggg xd all good now tho, i kinda overreacted but fuckin hell GGG why?
I agree i wish they had worded it differently when it's something that is obviously not a buff, no matter how you look at it and he "it's fine" argument gets to me too since it's clearly not, but I'm glad everything is good now. 🤣🤣
So what I got from this is your upset that you can't send tiny shipments and get divines back? Sounds reasonable...I've only noticed buffs out of it especially with very big shipments
Before with 9k dust you nearly trippeled the shipment value. Now you need to actually grind dust to improve the shipment value.
Mirror shard yesterday in my boat.. send 1m dust and 10k of all.
bait
maybe its time for 50 mill shipments. i will try to save up like a week and see what i get
This is a huge nerf thanks for the video.
@@JayBills3 And then one dies every 2 or 3rd map :)
Reddit is heavily moderated these days unfortunately. If you look at the forum/twitch chats/youtube comments everyone is pissed off (me included lol)
I just literally sent 2 Verisium Bars to Ngakanu to guarantee 4-9 stacked decks per ship every 30 minutes lol
giga low effort lazy way of guaranteed returns for those who don't enjoy engaging with the mechanic. If you want RNG returns just use the Stacked Decks instead of selling.
Have 1200 I'm gonna open up tomorrow morning in a big session
this actually seems like a great strat since stacked decks are like 2c ea in bulk right so like 30-60c per 30min
@@jokerkhrono And Power runes keep going up, so you want the short routes for more encounters anyways. Got 5 power runes yesterday lol
@@HermanManly Small shipments of 2 gets your power runes? I've been doing exactly that just for some scarabs and never got one power rune...
@@Vulcanxs No, but you (used to?) get more Pirate encounters
@@Vulcanxs Oh, but you can send Verisium to Riben Fell instead and get scarabs + runes. I actually think this is overall a better strategy
Bro empy almost has a mageblood just from selling loot his mappers have gotten him... not sure what youre talking about...
It was a good source of supplementary income though. Now it's not even that.
It's absolutely nerfed to the ground, so no loot on the ground, no loot on the ships , poe in the trash been I had more than enough and this was last drop.
Yep. Ditto. It bugs me that they fucked up this hard but eh
Could you maybe change the way you speak in those vids a bit because it makes me want to log off my life. I don't want to offend you, its just a feedback that can help you grow the channel further. I know that not everybody is a good speaker but its something you can practice. I enjoy the content of your videos keep it up.
Weird ass “feedback"
I appreciate the feedback, and no offense, but this seems more like a you problem than a me problem. It's your choice whether or not to watch the video. My channel has doubled in size in the past three weeks, so I think it's doing just fine. I've had multiple people tell me to ignore comments like this. If you continue to watch my content, it's appreciated; if you don't, it is what it is.
