Turner, You are my hero today. First time a backup bulb went out. Car display said to look in the manual. The manual said you should probably take the car to the dealer... TO REPLACE ALIGHT BULB?!!! Been doing that on all my cars since 1973. Saw your video and am not confident I can replace it on my own, saving me ridiculous AUDI dealer service fees! THANK YOU!!! (I'm guessing not that easy for light on the front of the car... )
Thank you for this tutorial and for saving my money & time. At first, I was struggling with unplugging the light, but I quickly rewatched your video and the instruction "push in, push the tab down and then pull out" worked perfectly. Greeting from Poland! :)
Thanks, this was a big help. Came out really easily. Was a real pain to get back in, I couldn't get the screw to catch in the threading. But finally got it.
Im about to put new lower control arms on because of bad bushings, I dont think you did a video on that yet. I dont really need a vid but good content. People on the audizine actually asked me to make a vid of the new bushings being pressed in which is kind of easy and would save the forum users alot of money.
Isn't it a T25 torque instead of a phillips? On Audi's forum the guys on there said you use a t25. The audi q5 has torque screws for the front the license plate too. So I'm thinking there is a chance you could be wrong.
Love the vid. Saw another vid that did exactly what you said- using flat-head and plastic tools to pry the cover and the light assembly. Needless to say-your vid shows a much better way. A++++. Thank you for imparting your knowledge and experience🙏
Hello great movie. This is all extra shown. Simple things explained perfectly. How many of us don't know about it? a lot ... you are doing a good job BRAVO
Pushed outside right on passenger and outside left on driver side. Mine are side push. 2015 Q7. Thanks for the vid! 5 min reverse light swap. Now to turn off reverse light broken alert… :(
I checked my 2013 and I have a Philips head but my question is :the small space to get in there... are you just loosening the screw enough to pull it out because I've seen someone else comment that the screw fell in and was not retrievable as is no space to actually take the screw out between the gap.
I have a flash light, and laying down on the floor of my garage in a sunny day with a long screw driver, and cannot find the effing screw? Obviously, most of the people are way smarter than me.
Love your videos. I have a 2019 Q5 with a back up light nor working. I took the tail light assembly out and there's nothing wrong with the bulb. I know this means there's no current. Any suggestion on how to proceed to the next step?
Hey Naptown, question for ya, have you heard of the rear light ground issue in 2008-2014ish A3s, A4s, and TT? All the RUclips videos are saying add your own ground wire and ground it to the bumper. Trying to fix it the right way and not hot wire anything I don't have to. Appreciate your feedback bro
Is this a 2021? Audi q5 Quattro? I used a Philip screw driver and wouldn’t connect. And I think I had the same type of screw driver but I had it all the way in. That made me think there was no screw but still couldn’t get it out. I looked at the new light I’m tryna put in and it had one of those star tips. Any help would be appreciated
What do I do if the screw on the right side light is bored out and I can’t unscrew it. I tried flatheads that are small different size phillips. How do I get that? Screw out of there? Do I drill it out or what do I do?
do you have a video on airbags? how to change an old one to a new one? and do you need coding for that? last question, whats the normal working temperature of an A4B8? great videos btw. Thanks
I’ve replaced airbags, you need to replace the module and code it. I don’t work at the dealer anymore and I try very hard to stay away from wrecked cars so I probably won’t have that video unless it’s removing the bags and modules. I will put that on my list. As for the operating temp 200-210f
Nice video bro, now i have a problem with my aundi Q5 2013, every 1k miles i have to change oil idk why, i take it to my mechanic but he only change the oil again. I think i am burning oil but idk why every 1k miles i have to change it, can you help me?
What year is the Q5 please? I have a 2020 but I can’t figure out what type of screw is in there. Your is a phillips but mine doesn’t seem to be. Thank you.
I saw a tutorial that used a six-pointed star shaped screwdriver head. Not uncommon but not regular either, I have one that came with a pretty standard set of tools.
@@tomaspiktozis1899 All these people with easy pizi, or a piece of cake made me think I am so dumb. The guy said Phillip head. Now I need to find that T20 ( I needed to google T20 too). Thanks.
Anyone by chance know the size of the screw? It looks like whoever switched it out prior didn’t properly install the red guide so the screw fell out and is not retrievable. It’s appears to a 1” screw in length and maybe an 8-34?

Absolutely the best explanation of how to uninstall the rear light bar

“I could put the camera up there, but isn’t this good enough? “lol dude, you are hilarious. I’m definitely subscribing.
Can’t believe it was that simple. Great video, Nap.
Very good direction!!!!Thank you
Great tips as opposed to the knuckle draggers who use metal tools to pop plastic pieces out of place. Well done
Thanks, this was a big help. Came out really easily. Was a real pain to get back in, I couldn't get the screw to catch in the threading. But finally got it.
Great video, my girlfriend back to my SQ5 into a pole and broke this light luckily there wasn’t any other damage but she is $193 poorer now

I think it’s better to just get the arms, more expensive but it comes with the built in ball joint, one less thing to worry about.

You are a star! Audi we’re charging £200 to change my light bulb!
Hello great movie. This is all extra shown. Simple things explained perfectly. How many of us don't know about it? a lot ... you are doing a good job BRAVO
Very helpful. Thank you. That whole assembly needs to be replaced. Audi is trying to tell me it will cost $600!
This video just helped me replace the rear light on my car. THANK YOU!!
Thank you sir! That was helpful
For 2018+ It's a T20 torx. You need a long handle to reach it.
Video was really helpful. Thumbs up for this man! 💪🏼
Thank you! Too smart and easy!
Great demo alot easier than I thought thankfully 🌹
You have a radio voice….fine job…you could do books,on tape reading

Easy peasy... great idea recording little things like this!
Absolutely excellent video. Worked well on 2021 Q5. Push small flap plate at the top. Torx bit needed to release bolt is T20

@@bigtip8371 my Torx screw was captive when undone, no worry that it will fall out 🙂
@@jeffallen8230 damn that was easy..much appreciated! Next is the AC pressure switch..
super helpful man. The connector was stuck on mine so put a flathead in there and got it off real easy
😳isn't this good enough😆😂❤✌✌🖖🖖
smart and right to the point, well done
Nice vid. Thanks, helped me change my lamp this evening in the dark!

Awesome, thanks for sharing the proper technique
Quality content! Right to the point
Just saved me a whole lot of production time 🙏
Great video, you have just saved me damaging my paint
that tow cover is a built in money maker for Audi, design intended
Great Job!
Giving this a shot next week..thx brother!
Well that was easy! Saved myself over $150..thanks

i loved it, u are genius . Good contet! thank u
For 2018 Q5 you will most probably need T20 screw which was the case for me
Hopefully this works on my 2019 the same way. Thanks.
2019 has a Torx screw on it, and the space inside the bumper area to put the screw driver is much much tighter.
great video, Thanks for sharing
Great video, thanks budd
Great video.

Can I get at the junk yard or eBay?
