The thing is, Tama doesn't offer any other deals on instruments like horns. Corps tend to go with the companies (like Yamaha) so they can get hundreds of instruments from the same company instead of having so many other companies to purchase from; it just makes more sense.
@DominictheLegit i think its cause its attached to the baackbar. if you drill it to drum 1, it fixes the prolem, but im pretty sure you wouldnt wanna risk messing up. once you drill a hole, you cant undo it.
Coats are sponsored by innovative percussion and Yamaha I was thinking the same thing as you not to long ago not gonna like those tama drums do look nice
It would be really nice to hear them play he drums in all these tama videos. Really hope to get one of their snares and quads when I'm older. Heard they suck for marching but sound good.
Probably because they want $1200 per snare drum. Granted, they'd get a deal for endorsement..... but I'm sure they wouldn't be 100% free because of their high list price. Gorgeous drums, though.
Only problems i have with them. Drums are heavy. All the extra hardware and features add up. Also, The carriers and stands are ugly, bulky and uncomfortable. I call it a flop tama. Love the shells but thats about it.

In theory yes these are nice, but too many parts that can break and need replaced
yes it is.
So why do the Bluecoats use Yamaha then????
Matt Shay Because Yamaha has a deal with Bluecoats. Tama has a deal with Roger. Capitalism 👍

Why don't more corps use these? I was hoping since Roger Carter was teching Bluecoats that they'd use Tama, but sadly they are not.
i was hoping he would play

7:19 That's totally Tom Float.
Oh really? Cool. I wonder when/if Tama will begin to partner with any corps.
they're with southwind, genesis, and recently OC right now
They’re partnered with the Bushwackers in DCA.

If tams is his sponsor... why does his line use Yamaha
Yamaha is probably just the sponsor of the Bluecoats organization. His own personal sponsor is Tama.
Raul Carranza Yep
ROGER CARTER!
most corps use the same drums and horns and Tama doesn't make horns.
Tama hardware is why their percussion and drumsets are just so industry leading. Too much quality lol Too much!
