I fully understand the challenge and you did really good. But I couldn't feel a bit bad that you're doing this challenge in a country which doesn't have a good economy and many lives on tourism, I do wish you would still pay the tuk tuk driver and the hostel something as a gift. Anyhow that's just me, I'm also very aware of your charity and good spirit which been shown in previous videos. All the best x
The Local Thais Are Entitled Not To Be Part Of A RUclips Test! Sorry Jo Guess From Last Name YOU ARE THAI! GREAT COUNTRY! Shame About The Army Leaders!
At first I thought the suit shop thing was a terrible idea, but it actually worked out really well for the both of you, lmao. Just have him take you to all the shops for an infinite money glitch
Amazing videos as always! Keep up the amazing work and would love to travel with you at some point. also I've been getting into stocks and I'm not too bad!
Around 10:40 is where this man gained my full respect. He prayed to a god that he probably doesn't even believe in, and just over all showed respect to that guy's culture.
I was tired it was 2:05 am when I saw this, I checked the video length, it was 20 minutes, I hesitated coz I will be having a busy day tomorrow, then I clicked thinking narrow it to few minutes jump jumping through it, then I clicked and started, I didn't blink an eye for 20 minutes, it was a long time seeing a video that entertaining.. The story telling, the challenge, the food, the different scenes, man this was a dope 🤗
Ok. I have to admit this video is pretty damn cool. What's even better is the experience you had. The piece de resistance was the characters and people you met. It's great to know there are some really awesome people in this world that bring color and light to our lives when we encounter them. Even though it's a short amount of time spent in their presence we gain more understanding and growth from what they share with us. In my book that's dope!!👍 Great job Brett!! I can't wait for the next adventure!!
At first I thought yr 1 USD challenge is kind of stupid coz as a Thai we at least to survive with 5 USD in 24 hour for all foods 3 meals not include accommodation but this guy revealed the other side of Bangkok and yes his missions all well completed.
4:30 ''so i have a long travel, 9 months'' aawww jeez, that made me feel so jealous lol. Thats how long i booked too the first time i went, 9 glorious month which actually ended up being 18 months, then home for 1 month then 3 more years lol.
I prefer this kind of budget travel vlogs, than others who do a luxury yacht trip with fillet mignon dinner and jacuzzi on the beach type of travel. This kind of video can relate to us ordinary people , its challenging and entertaining to watch. Please do more videos like this !
Dude, I just found your channel today. I've watched 4 videos already and really love how you share your positivity as well as your travel expertise. Most of all I love the positive messages you give people on goal setting. 30 years ago today I was backpacking through India for 3 months. I did it on $1,100 Canadian dollars so I share your passion for bargain traveling. I though my 9 rupee room was a good bargain (about 0.38 Canadian or 0.25 USD) but you have made it a career. Of course in 1992, there were no camera phones and social media, otherwise I might have been doing what you are doing. I was 36 back in 1992 and that makes me 66 now. I don't think my old bones could handle hostel bedding, let alone the other crazy stuff. Thanks Brett. You have a new fan!
Great video. Glad you enjoy your time here :) Yes, the hostel is nice (17:51). It would be even better if the owner would make sure the guests (or maybe his friends) are to be more respectful to the neighbours by not being so loud at late night during the weekday. PS. I live in a condo right behind the hostel.
2:40 THAT’S THE ATTITUDE.😍 18:33 JAW DROPPING VIEW 😘😘 This ep quality is lit like a fun reality show!!! SO MUCH ENTERTAINING AND EXCITING!! 👍👍👍 And the last segment where you meet amazing young travelers at the heartwarming hostel…makes me teary a bit, tbh. It touches my heart. ❤️
Shouldve smashed a shroom shake then gone out and survived on that dollar bro. 😂 Always ♥️ the 🔥 content on ur channel Brett. Been watching for 4 years now. 🤙🏽👏🤙🏽
apart from what you got from lucky buddha ,you are truly blessed and accumulated thousands of merits just by bowing down three times. you are fortunate one to be able to pray before the buddha-awakened one. great job my frnd...
I have some advice about living with no money at all in Thailand. I am Thai, mostly if Thai people have problems. We will ask for help from the temple first. You are hungry, you go to the temple, you have rice to eat. You may have seen monks in the morning walking to get food from the villagers. In a day, the food received was too much for one person to eat. The monks then distribute the food to the people near the temple or the poor who have no money. Or when you are riding a motorcycle camping style when you don't have accommodation, you can go to the temple and ask to stay. Everything is free during the first epidemic. During Thailand's lockdown There will be tourists who cannot return to their country. and some people have limited budget Thai people also prepare food to distribute to them. Or some tourists who do not have money choose to live at the temple many people. Some people have stayed at the temple to this day and never asked to return to their own country. There are many news channels in Thailand making this news. And another recommendation is When you're hungry and you don't have any money, you can go to a restaurant and tell him straight up and don't lie. They are definitely ready to help you. And in restaurants, you may have seen that they all offer free cold water for you. If you don't have money and you're thirsty, you can go to the street food stalls for water. or a small water shop you will get what you want Just please don't lie to them. Or if doing content, you can lie a little that you don't have money. But you also have to answer them as you do the content. They definitely don't charge you. because there are many famous youtubers in Thailand who do a lot of this content For example, disguised as a homeless person to ask for food from a restaurant. Every shop is give a food for free, he replied that it was a prank, the restaurant didn't charge for food at all. Because Thai people say that giving is that they are definitely giving willingly.😁😁🙏🙏
@@marcoprolo2299 It's okay because no one wants to live a life without money. This is just information In case someone has this happen in the future, he can use this information to help himself.😁😁
I didn't like where this was going at first (I thought you'd be an advertisement for beg packers everywhere haha) but damn this was a cool video! :D I've exchanged a gig for a few nights accommodation countless times. very hand to be able to trade a skill eh
Been dying to visit Southeast Asia again, I used to hit it up one or two times per year. Actually had to cancel my second trip to Bali in April 2020. Were there any quarantine requirements in Thailand? I'm also from NYC btw
Should have gone to a less touristy area. Ask locals. They love foreigners. It would be more fun. There is a news a couple of days ago about a tourist riding motorbike from Chiangmai to Pai, hungry and stopped by a place mistakenly thought it was a restaurant when in fact it was a wedding lol it was so funny but you get to see the real Thais.
Always love watching your content 👌🏻❤️

Thailand is a laid back country with a very positive mindset so we don’t mind at all. But thank you so much for your kind concern anyway. 🙏🙏💖🇹🇭🇹🇭

How do you find what restaurants are doing free item promotion?
wearing Vans skateboard shoes which are good only for skateboarding. terribly uncomfortable flat sole for walking
Crazy how empty the streets are compared to the last time I visited a few years ago! I was in Africa in January and everything was crowded as usual.
