Sorry, I tried last summer with natural rope but it didn't work so I tried with cotton for crochet also it's not working, so I tried with wool yarn still it's not working. Then the day before we leave for a week vacation I took some big Ziplock Bags, pour water into it & pricked (1 tiny hole) with thin needle at the bottom & place it close to the stem of my plants. Brilliant, they work well.
Obrigada 😊
I was wondering about a thin material myself as the drip line
Good idea . U can avoid soil filling into third pot by simply keeping the pot upside down also or use any other object in between the tomoto plant pots like a small plank like bridge and save one pot with soil.. Alternatively, u can keep the water bottle in one of the pots with plants and avoid third pot with soil
Thank you! 🙂True, as long as the pot is large enough to hold the water bottle.
That's great. Saves wasting money at a hardware store. Keep mozies out with a gentle cotton wool ball placed in the bottle top.
Recommendations: 1)tie a nut or washers to twine to weigh down in bottle and 2) hole in a popsicle stick or garden tag instead of toothpick in soil to anchor twine - good wind would blow this away.
Should be called very slow and obvious. Next time put the rope into a DRY bottle, then add the water to make your life easier.
I'll try this at my rooftop garden. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 🙂
I’m not 100% convinced but will give it a try. I have more potted plants than usual and any help keeping them watered is a good thing. Thanks!
I've watched soooooo many hydroponic, aeroponic and gardening video and all this time I just needed some rope and a bottle 🤦
Quick and easy, you have to try! Good luck! 👌
Literally 👌🏽😆Good content
Don't forget the toothpicks, lol
Wow so simple, does this really work? How important is the selection of twine?
😆 🤣 😂
Cheers, thank you! Will be trying this is greenhouse, keeping it watered is our weak point, especially in bad weather. 👏👏👏 We have a large table with sand to help retain moisture, so thinking could run a mat of strings under sand too, to water 100/200+ 3 inch pots etc. 🤷
Thank you for posting your video from buffalo NY. 3/28/23
BEAUTIFUL tomato plants! Thanks for the tip.
Thank you!
Try adding a small nut to ensure a slight weight that will take the string straight to bottom of water bottle & remain throughout?
Einfache Anwendung. Super Idee. DANKESCHÖN dafür👏🏻. 👍🏻🌹🙋♀️
I like this video and ideas for the plants protection and pouring water.
Definitely helpful in summer time while away for a week.
With that little water your tomatoes are dead before the week is over
2 things to add...
use a thinner rope or better yet use a string . It will drip at a slower pace at the same time be sufficient for the plant.
Make a small hole in the bottle cap and pass the string through the cover. Keeping it open will give access to mosquitoes to breed
What about yarn?
@@irenewilliams5464 will definitely work
Interesting, thanks for the suggestion!👍

Beautiful tomorrow I will stop my water bottle thank you!!!
Very useful when you are travelling or in a vacation....thanks

Thank you!
What a great technique 👌thank for sharing 🍃
Excelente idea para las plantas de maceta. Gracias por compartir. Dios te bendiga!!!
Thank you! 🙂
Hi, thanks a lot for this idea, I tried it and it worked just how I wanted it. Thank you very much for this.
Hi, With pleasure, I am very glad!
hello, can the system completely empty the water in the bottle?
Hello I am teacher and I must share this project with my students. It's very useful for us .love from Gujarat
Hello! I'm very glad! Thanks for watching! 💚
Yes, it can be considered as a project. It can cover Health, Livelihood Education, and Science! Thanks a lot!
Thank you, the plant watering system is very useful❤
Thank goodness they have fast forward
I think it's better to bury the cord in the substrate so that the speed of watering could depend on the saturation level. Otherwise I calculated that about a litre of water could be spent in 2 days. For some plants that could be too much. For example, my lemon tree uses only around 500 ml of water in a week.
True! I didn't bury the thread in the ground so I could film the drop accurately. It is certainly better if we bury the thread.👌
Super!
Lg
Genuinely an eco-friendly and cheapest way of irrigation 🌱🌱
Thank you! 🙂
Right? Nobody got time to be spending extra cash, plastic bottle are everywhere
Excellent idea 💡
I’m going to try this for my 2 tomato plants & if it works great, I’ll do it for my fruit tree 🤗
Thank you for the appreciations!
Being outdoors, for trees I recommend you pull the thread through a hose
ruclips.net/video/dUujRyHrPOU/видео.html&ab_channel=CoolStuff
and orient yourself to another kind of thread as in the example below

Hemp twine has the slowest dripping.
Good luck! 🤗
Asa ceva nu am mai vazut bravo,!

Terima kasih banyak! Semoga beruntung! Semoga harimu menyenangkan! 🌞
Might wanna speed this up...By 3.30 I had lost the will to live.
I cannn't!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If I had better equipment a year ago, I would have set the video quickly ... don't judge me for not having anything to edit
@@CoolStuff7 I completely understand. Their comment caught me off guard.

Excellent video. Your way of explaining the various concepts are masterful. I learned a lot. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your appreciation! ❤️
Qué ingenioso y práctico .. gracias por compartir (Gto. Mex)
Thank you! 🙂
Good idea. You can improve the same to.supply water 2to 3 inches below the soil by inserting a small plastic tube below the tip of the thread to avoid water exposure to sunlight thus minimizing water evaporation 🙏
Great idea, thanks! I'll try! 🙂
You could have the string inside some flexible tube. Have the tube slightly longer than the string. Then you could push the tube into the soil and there's a slight gap for the drip to fall. That'd eliminate/minimize any evaporation
Maybe a flexible straw will work
🤔👍
That was my thought, too.
Excellent idea especially here in Arizona!
Muchas gracias me gustó y fácil de hacer voy hacerlo espero me funcione.
I'm just about to go upstairs It's very useful tips for me so thank you for this idea

Wonderful!!I Certainly learn something. Thanks for sharing this technology.

I think it could be better to place the rope in the middle so the water will reach the plant
Very nice and it's very inexpensive. Thanks for sharing.❤

Thanks 🙏👌

Nice music choice. Will give this a go
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid lost the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Misael Harry Instablaster =)
@Killian Bridger i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Killian Bridger DAMN IT REALLY WORKED :O Literally hacked my IG password after roughly 40 mins by using the site.
Just had to pay 15 bucks but for sure worth the price :O
Thanks so much you saved my account!
@Misael Harry Glad I could help xD
I'm in Texas the water will evaporate before I put the string in the bottle.
Soooo funny,,, hard luck
Maybe you could wrap some loose cling film around it
I'm in Tucson. The string will self-combust and the bottle will melt down to a puddle of plastic.😅
And I will shoot myself in the head before the end of this sloooow diy vid…
Ha ha same here in Phoenix, so I'm thinking of putting the twine inside a flexible tube. Should work at least for some time of the year and save water..
Wow simple n practical Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Me encanto ..soy genial..

DUDE YOU JUST SAVED ME MONEY. Thanks 🙏
Thank you! 🙂
Tell me how it works out
Genial
Thanks! I wish you a wonderful day! 🌞
Absolutely ineffective method. I tried and worked for a few hours, the day after the rope coming out of the bottle I found it completely dry!
try laces or stripe of cotton fabric
Marvaless thanks for exbiting for our information guides.

I m from Bangladesh.... I learn a good idea..... many many thanks.....

One liter = how Many hours/days?
7 days
Super 👍bonne idée thank you
Depends upon number of plants... 1 litre can feed 1 plant upto 5-7 days. For 2 plants it will feed upto max 4 days...
wow
Trồng cây là khoái nhất luôn.
Merci pour votre information. C'est inoui ! Tres bon courage !
Merci pour votre appréciation et votre visite! 💚
This sound track is terrible. But thx for the vid.
Love this will use this for allotment will modify and cut a 3” bit of hose into ground to get water right in there. Love it thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you for watching!❤️
Wow. What a great idea! Thanks 🙏🙏
Thank you for watching!❤️
the space you use for your water bottle could be used for another plant...you also need that much water for a day not a week in the season so a bit of a waste of time and effort really ..get an irrigator set from the hardware store..they are cheap and reliable
Swoosh!
Cyril you totally missed the point🙄 It's about using what you already have,
taking care of the environment
and
AVOID
having to use time and money to go to the hardware store 😉
@@nelliebly6616 and spending money..

May I know how you keep the mosquito from breeding in that water?
It isn't standing water. NO breading going on there.
Most of what you're doing happens outside the frame, because the camera is too close.
I don't think it will help anything though, when it's really hot in summer.
I had the same feeling, but if you are patient things become understandable starting from 1:24 ;-)
It does help in the summer. (I am speaking from planting zone 6b.)
It works same as oil lamp.
Grazie molto istruttivo😊lo userò senz'altro!🌹
Grazie a te! ❤️
