- G.I. Joe A Real American Hero Fans - the Haslab Skystriker has landed! For those who love the o-ring, 3.75" figures of 1982 through 1994, this is a re-release and updated version of the 1983 Skystriker!
This comes with a slew of accessories - there's also the pilot ACE and his RIO known as Fail-Safe (Wayne Ruthel). We also got a new release of Mickey Mouse Cobra Commander in addition to the Ground Crew Ramp Rat and the new Cobra Trooper. The stretch goals of Flight Suit Scarlett and a Night Force Ripcord were also included.

Great honest review buddy. I appriciate your honest review including negatives explained. Whilst I will have to one day obtain a vintage and didnt back this one, it was nice seeing a review on this toy.
Totally, and thanks. This had its flaws but in the end I was overjoyed to get Fail-Safe, Ramp Rat, NF Ripcord and Flight Scarlett.
Well now that is disconcerting. But glad you got at least two figures that weren’t in the original line.

You did a great job on this review! I really enjoyed your objective approach and it was the 'disclaimer' part about a minute in explaining what you were going to show that kept me interested. Very cool presentation! This is really nice that you are sharing this experience.
I did not "back" this.
To me, it's a Skystriker that would end up sitting on a shelf with figures I have no interest in. Even at less cost, it wouldn't have swayed me. Not something I can use or enjoy at all.
The base is nice but if it did something more..., for examples: it could also be a radar field battle station, or become a roof over the 1983 Headquarters jail cell walls (like MOTU Point Dread)....
The potential for "the most" toy vehicle package was missed.
The whole package just seems uninspired with nearly a solid 40 years of G.I.Joe stuff to draw inspiration from. Especially vehicles.
It's not an "X-wing" but I wonder if that's what important people at Hasbro think it is. It's not the hero vehicle of the show and Ace is not that stand-out of a character... I was never concerned about the mystery back seat character, either.
So many other vehicles and possibilities. It's not even the price. For what I want, however, this set is not worth it.

The only thing I was disappointed by was the fact that the secondary vehicles feel really cheap and very much like an after thought, but otherwise, I LOVE this thing!
Yeah you mean the tow vehicle and fuel truck? Yeah they did come out a bit bland compared to the USS Flagg one.
We need a Haslab Crusader or a Hammerhead next

the peg broke on the back of the seat when I tried to take fail safe out. thats the only bad thing that happened to me. still waiting on hasbro to replace it for me.

GI Joe needs and in-cannon "Fumbles" storyline, a la Saw-Viper... a *PERMANENT SLAUGHTER* of core characters... including re-killing "Doc" -- because combat sucks, and sometimes, "Doc" dies too...
I cant close the canopy with two figures in the cockpit. Otherwise I love this set and it looks awsome on my Flagg flight deck.

Look up Heavy Armor Toys on Facebook. They did a run of third party figures on them.
Great video Ken my beef are the wings, Hasbro cheaped out the wings should be one piece. Does the box become bigger yes but I don't think that would matter. Or at least be able to screw the wings in so the stay and there's no gab.
yeah when you retract the wings back into its "folded up" position, it fits back into the box actually... may need to resize the tray that goes into the box a little but it fits. Just need to take the vertical tailfins off.
Honestly I was more concerned about the terrible quality of the plastic for the three and three quarter inch figures most of my plane fit together just fine they just sent me two of the blacked out cockpits my biggest issue is wondering why nobody else is running into this problem or if everybody is just ignoring the fact that they're Nightforce figure came with two right feet.. I thought I was paying a premium for haslab and I feel like I bought their dumpster dive b******* I could have built these figures out of better material @@ToyKennections

The one thing I'll give the GI Joe team is that the figure selection is pretty solid. Especially "ketchup and mustard" who are in their Skittles.

These were a Haslab back in 2021. But check if bigbadtoystore still has some. They got a bunch.
I have it in hand the figures are lightweight junk they doubled up on the smoked canopies the paint jobs on the figures are awful and my Nightforce figure has two right feet😅😅😅 I bought two of these Jets to the tune of right around $500 plus shipping
The Cobra Commander that I got feels like he's made out of the dollar store plastic I didn't even bother to open anything else other than the parachutist whose Name Escapes me at this point and he looks like he has his shoes on the wrong feet the quality control for haslab is embarrassing but now that I'm seeing what they're charging for their classified series and the rest of the junk they're trying to Peddle in the stores it's really kind of sad I honestly expected better

Nice nostalgia campaign for the last five years Toy Industry... but... I'm over it. End all of the toy lines for a generation, fire all of the creatives, file bankruptcy and go fahk yourselves Toy Corpos...
Start over with new lines, new lores, and just... new. Quit ripping off the past, and start producing for the future.
