One of the the most underrated cars. These Liberty's are good cars, exciting to have and I actually view mine as a big luxury car, because that is what it feels like inside (just add a little bit of imagination). Excellent daily driver, safe because of it"s size (passive safety). Very nice car, very nice video.
I have an 08 Liberty that I bought for my wife to drive while I rebuilt the engine in her beloved Honda CRV. I thought it was ugly, but we needed wheels. I have come to love it, awesome 4x4 capabilities, sky slider roof and an awesome stereo. It's my daily driver now. Hidden gems
I have this exact jeep, got it new in 2012 and still love it! I am actually getting new tires tomorrow for it. I usually keep my cars for ten years, but this one will be at least 15, maybe 20 lol
@@truswalch9743 Sucks to hear that. Like anything, I suppose it’s hit and miss. According to many videos I’ve watched on this vehicle the pros outweigh the cons. 2012 was the last year the Liberty was made.
it's pity that they were not selling diesel versions in the US. In Europe they were selling this vehicle as Jeep Cherokee and there were 2 diesel version with 2.8 CRD made by VM Motori (177 HP from 2008 to 2010 and 200 HP from 2010 to 2012). They had 5AT transmission + 2WD/4WD Auto/4WD low modes. And fuel economy was much better in diesel versions: ~20.5 MPG in city and ~29.5 MPG on the highway.
Hi I leave in UK and I own Jeep Cherokee KK 2010 with disel engine 2.8crd my had 177horse power.. current mileage 11650o and no issues at all I'm very happy with this car ..Looks very classy and it's spot on..
I am on my second 2012 liberty I kicked myself for years cause I sold my first one. So when I found an other one that was the same year and trim level just different color and it only had 100 thousand milesI jumped on it quickly. There little tanks just like you said in the video there like a little trucks they can go through just about anything. We’re I live we get a lot of snow and the roads can be pretty dangerous good set of snow tires and put her in 4 high your set. They seem to be pretty well made I have had very little issues with both of them. I had some major transmission issues with the first one but it was right away and Chrysler covered it so I don’t blame the jeep I think it just had a defective transmission from the start once that was fixed I had no issues. They don’t drive the nicest and there pokey.they are very utilitarian but I think that’s what I like about them.the interior is hard plastic yes but it’s very easy to clean and seems to hold up well?same for the leather seats. My only complaint and this has been an issue with every jeep I have owned the sun roof leaks but that’s a jeep thing not a liberty thing. I wish jeep would bring something like this back an affordable suv that is still off road capable something basic that I can drive to work haul my kids around all week but play in the mud on the weekends something reliable. Not the jeep Cherokee they replaced these with a real off road suv. Wranglers are nice but they drive worse on road then a liberty coast way way more and I don’t know if there as well screwed together as they used to be? My two cents anyways.
The grand cherokee with the air suspension is the worst thing that vehicle will actually bounce off the road and crash if you hit a bump at high speed , the nitro and liberty rides more stable
210 hp from a 2012 V6 is on par for not being supercharged or turbocharged. I have a 2011 Escape 3.0 V6 that only makes 200hp but it is mated to a 6sp auto and gets 19city 26hwy as far as gas mileage goes.
@@seandelorm1333 yeah im not very interested in the off roading concept bc thats just not my thing but Yeah for a high school student i think it would be good to sorta beat up and take me place to place and haul people around!

I’m in the process of potentially buying this car. Thank you for the thorough video, it’s making me much more excited to get it!
Same here. Did you get it and how is it?
@@Earthtime3978 I have one, three interior door handles are broke and seats are falling apart not to mention the glove box doesn’t catch anymore

If it's anything like my 08, you won't be disappointed. Having said that, mine is a trail rated 4x4 with a sky slider roof
Best Jeep ever !
Don't know that I'd go that far, but a definite winner

thanks for the review . im considering buying this particular year model as a work car to keep the miles off my other vehicle
Damn. Me too!! They aren’t very many out there these days
Thank you! I'm going to buy one soon.
The only car reviewer that doesn't just hate on the liberty like it's the worst car ever made
Thanks for posting this, I loved EVERY bit. The pros and cons, especially since I think I'll be purchasing one next year. I love jeep, always have ❤🚙
Thank you!!
I am looking into buying a Liberty. Do you know if the valve issue has been addressed? If so what model year has it been corrected in?
Nice detailed review! Thanks!

Can you do this same thing with a 2007 liberty?
I have this same liberty. 160,00 miles on it. 2 sets of brakes, 3 sets of tires and changed the plugs once.
Good video. Very helpful. I put a few bucks down on one of these before watching the video and hope I like it like you do.
Great review! Thanks!

Well done
Are those seats custom?
I have one too! I love my Liberty. The fuel economy sucks. I average 20 MPG mostly highway driven.
