The evening display from Brighty was awesome, reheat into the sunset. Loved the Lanc and Typhoon, precision "refuelling", though that proximity was amazing - such stick and throttle control.
Haven't been to an airshow in about 20 years, so this was cool. Never saw an OV-10 flying and rarely on static display. The Red Arrow corkscrew thingy was amazing. Well done!
Great vid! Nice to see some your mugs behind the voices and the amazing aero nautical knowledge that you have. I used to work on the CH 47 Chinookhawks in the Guard. Wish i could have joined that party! Enjoy your week!
@@grimreapers Do you need a veterinary license for that in Europe? l logged a few hours as a passenger in a Chinook once upon a time. Very loud, even with earplugs. So fast I'm not even allowed to say.
This was fantastic!! What a great time and place for a Grim Reapers meet up, and it was damn cool to see Matrix!! Also, I was today years old when I learned of Otto the Great!! Holy shit!!
There is something majestic about the P-51 and the Spitfire demonstrating together. Also you can't beat the sound of a merlin, let alone 2 of them together!
Can I ASSUME that the Grim Reapers will be re-enacting the manouvers at 20:25? Should be an easy thing to pull off for such a Professional Group of pilots.
Great to be able to put some faces to the names. What an awesome bunch of nerds! As for the planes, I likey the Bronco. cut little things with it's see through backside..
You all looked like you had a smashing day. 😂 Its great to see you unwind after all the hard work you guys have done. Love watching your videos. I haven't played a flight sim for years, would love to get back into it, used to play f15 strike eagle, Apache havok, etc, yes I'm that old.😂 Keep up the good work guys.👍
Hahaha you and your brother. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. As an American, I don’t have a good ear for your British accents but you two are so similar!
You guys never cease to amaze me at how much fun you can have doing darn near anything! So, did the Beamer make the run to the Show? Also, my wife and I were taking a vacation to California from Virginia and had no end of troubles on the flights home. At one point, the Captain came on and in a British Accent said "Good Morning all you lovely people" and my wife with out missing a beat goes: "SUPERCAP to the Rescue!" Now, all the newbs around us had no idea what she was babbling about but I was just hoping we didn't have any GR Patented Take Off or Landings! Never Change GR...never.
Cap, your looking quite dapper since the last time I saw you on screen, which was when you were dealing with that cancer problem . Keep up the fablous work!
The Typhoon was loud even in my garden about 4 miles away... Still not as loud as pairs of Tornado GR1s flying overhead down our valley in the Penines in the 80s though. :)
l logged a few hours as a passenger in a Chinook once upon a time. Very loud, even with earplugs. it was so fast that I'm not allowed to say just how fast it really was, even if I could have gotten close enough to the speedometer to tell...
lolz all the beutiful humans!!!! Lovely bunch you are . Hate airlines as the flight delays meant I could not join you lot :( by the way wanna see how many ET's are needed to bring Otto down with all those flares ;)
Don't care what anyone else thinks... but the Spitfire is STILL a glorious sight to see both on land and in the air. There is something, almost 'primal' about it that I love. I think it is probably the extended gun barrels that just PROJECTS pure "combat ready/effectiveness" that so many planes miss today. The only thing better... obvious, being an American, would be the Mustang. And that is simply a matter of the "big punch" in a craft that itself was rugged and literally seen in ALL theaters of WW 2.
PRITCH! o/...... also, the formation of those Red Arrrows is f-ing tight! Jesus Chrost! WOW, the helicopter fireworks, that mustve been amazing in person...i didn't even know that was a thing!
Well, that explains why Southport Airshow was such a damp squib this weekend. All the cool stuff was camping it up in Bournemouth😅. Looks like a great show and that you all had an amazing time (insert jealous emoji here => ) Btw, never seen a chopper doing pyrotechnics displays before - that was amazing .
Cap you don't look what my mind had for you after seeing all your videos. Wish I was there! I just see c130s, cp140 aurora, some cf18s and SAR cormorants feom here.
Great video, Cap and GR team! Awesome to see how efficient WW2 planes actually were, flying at top speed while their props are hardly even spinning! 😁😂😉 Also, good luck anyone trying to hit that helicopter with an IR SAM. 😂😂🤭 Thanks for the vid, stay safe everyone!🙋🏼♂️🍻🍻
@@134StormShadow Lol! I guess you didn't notice all the laughing faces after my sentence about props?!?... Or you just didn't acquire that fine sense of the thing called humor? 😂 Bot much? 🤖💥
Awesome to finally see Matrix, the man behind the voice and flying skills. Glad you all had a great time!
Wow the angle of attack is crazy for that Typhoon to stay that slow behind the Bomber....
also a shout out for the formation at those speeds
Had to be barely above idle throttle. Amazing!
"Quit following me!"
It genuinely looked like it was being towed by a cable. Amazing airmanship!
Can I conceivably be the first to ask why the Typhoon is sniffing the Lancaster's posterior?
When I think of "RAF voices" I think of Richard Burton, Kenneth More, Edward Fox and Matrix. lol
Agreed
All hail the majestic Matrix! He really needs to do audio books.
I'd buy it.
What a great time with a bunch of beautiful humans! And a great air show too. I need to get there some time, but it's a long way from Chicago...
The helicopter shooting out fireworks looked absolutely friggintastic!
It reminded me on Bilbo Baggins' 111th birthday.
The evening display from Brighty was awesome, reheat into the sunset. Loved the Lanc and Typhoon, precision "refuelling", though that proximity was amazing - such stick and throttle control.
Haha I DID NOT expect Matrix to look like that! I was expecting a Nigel Mansell look alike. Haha great video!! You should recreate the Airshow in GR!
Thats a lot of explosives on that little helicopter jeez!

OV-10 at a British airshow, that's fun and unexpected!
Agreed. Popped my Bronco cherry.

it was hard to get cap off the dance floor for sure
I notice that Matrix 'made his excuses and departed'. Wise man.
I had a prior engagement under 3 line whip.

His Majesty's Red Arrows were awesome 👍🏿🖖🏿🇺🇸🦀
A great fun was had. Thanks.
I wouldn't think that helicopter pilot would want to be so close to all those exploding fireworks
Brilliant. Looks like a fun time
Brilliant! Played the Academy and the BIC several times back in the day in The Cropdusters!!
Great to finally put a couple of faces to names!
Disappointed to discover that Matrix is, in fact, NOT John Cleese!!! 😆
I am also disappointed.

Has to be absolutely fun as hell to do aerobics and at the same time absolutely exhausting to be under constant Gs… it’s conflicting! Lol

Just in terms of dogfighting capability how does the Eurofighter Typhoon stack up against the F-22 and F-35?
Euro fighter beats f35, maybe raptor in a rate fight.
