Yes, it's too funny. When season one of Shadow and Bone dropped everyone was complimenting the cast and still demanding for Wylan and Nikolaj and I was always wondering what about Nikolaj could be special enough to beat all the other alredy known characters from the first season. But this man has stolen my heart in a beat. Of course not because he's incredibly handsome *cough* na but because he appears to be this stereotypical "bad boy who falls in love with the main girl" and then happens to be one of the best princes' in any YA adaption. I wasn't a Malina shipper (team Darkling all the way, of course not because Ben Barnes is hot af *cough*) and I will never be a Malina shipper. I would be incredibly happy if Alina got together with Nikolaj :D

@@mrseucliffex yeah i got into the topic so can say that he belongs to someone else someone badass, like him and Kaz share a lot similar. But what I'm talking about is that gosh he stole the light from Alina as the main character and i loved their dynamic and else but i would loved to see more just about him. He is so loyal, moral and not just this boring moral compass but he is goofy, funny, flirty and shows himself like see I'm not serious character i love fun but everytime comes with a heart. Like how he protected Genya i do believe that Queen was actually happy that this old rapist died but Nikolaj just immediately stood up for unknown Genya and he caught me off guard by his inventions he is hella smart one. I was off first season and when i was watching someone crossing the Fold was questioning like why there is just this ships like what if crossing the Fold above? And now we have the one who can be inventive and smart to come up with new things. So yeah just perfection.

@@analis_s I know what you mean because he steals the spotlight in the books too! I wasn't all that invested in Alinas books. I just kept reading for Nikolai scenes 😂 Him and Kaz are my fav characters so I always enjoy their scenes together. Nikolai is so charming but also has many layers. A genuinely great guy. I was pretty excited to meet him on the show.
And Genya! I knew what was going to happen and I was still so sad for her. She really goes through it.
@@mrseucliffex I'm really not sure that I can be convinced of the woman Nikolai ends up with in the books. As someone who hasn't read the books (and will wait with it until Shadow and Bone has come to its end) I am not really warm with that other person yet. (I have spoilered myself so I know who it is.) I really don't like her so far and can't imagine it will change. I don't know if the reason for my dislike is that there are alredy too many characters in the show (I love all of them but it's definitely too much) or that she hasn't been given her time to shine yet or if it is her character per se but I feel little to nothing to what happens to her so far. Or maybe I simply dislike Malina so much that I wish her to be with Nikolai to see some spark and chemistry, I don't know. After all I'll be waiting to see how they are going to change the books story of if they stay true to it somehow and if that Nikolai partner can convince me after all. I have to state to that I could imagine her to be with Tolya or Mal lol. Maybe I'm the only one who got those vibes from Tolya and her. Will see...
As someone who didn't read the books Nikolai rose into the ranks of my favorite characters like a rocket - such a fitting tribute 😍
