I imagine there are smoother ways of doing color previews, but this is how I do it.

My family and I are so grateful that I get to do this.
Imagine being able to own a piece of software and use it for as long as you like. What an incredible concept!
Amazing concept!
Back in the day.
Affinity Designer ftw
I have a student copy of the full creative suite that I bought a physical copy of when I was in college in 2010. I like that I own it, but I am very envious of the new features subscription people get. Several of them would save me hours of work.
I've been using Paint Shop Pro from Corel since before when it was owned by JASC. It's affordable and I just upgraded again. I upgrade every 3-5 years. It's not actually necessary to have the latest and best at every moment. Figure out how to use the stuff you have better is my advice and make better choices than what's most popular.
Man, this channel has become my safe space.
It’s funny how we can spend all this time making sounds and music and at the end of the day nothing is more soothing than the sound of a rainy day in the woods. Crafsman you made me get all philosophical with your editing, well done.
Crafsman, you are a treasure. That you for making this channel and the Facebook group so I can feel like it's OK to keep playing, experimenting, and of course, steady crafing.
the little gags you do at the beginning of your videos are always a joy
i did not know peace until i watched this video. your soothing voice combined with rain made me feel some kinda way. i like watching craft videos but i never feel like i'd be able to actually make the stuff myself. but after watching some of your videos, i was like, "hey, maybe i actually CAN do this!"
im proud to say tht yesterday i sculpted my first miniature for dnd :) thank you for inspiring me to craft, Crafsman!! your content is truly a gift to this world!!
I enjoy these simpler videos just as much (if not more) as the fancy ones with the music and animations
Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain telling me just what a fool I've been.
My grandpa sang that song all the time 😁
I would love me a CrafsMan cameo just telling me to "relax, its gonna be alright, you got this buddy". Another amazing video, you inspire me to keep going and keep trying new things, thank you.
I found this channel yesterday
best accident ever
You've found gold..... you've found gold!
You have stumbled on to one of the internet's last great secrets!
Ddog _47 well welcome to the crafs club (I don’t know what it’s called that’s just what I came up with)
Not only is he an amazing talent, Welcome to the best ASMR on the internet..
Welcome to Crafnation. ^_^
Awesome shoutout to Paul Braddock!
sick break-beat at the start!
Crafsman, your content always makes me smile. The state of the world, combined with my current health issues, has been tearing me down. But whenever I watch your videos, I always get a smile and a new idea for a project out of it. Thank you for making the content that you do, I really hope you're doing as well as you can through everything right now. You're a great force to have as a creator.
Health issues? Is it something reversible?
@@MaximilianonMars
Yes and no. I'm chronically ill and disabled, so a lot of it is just the norm for me. Something new has popped up though, and it'll hopefully be found to be a minor issue!
Hi, i'm Spanish and I found this marvelous channel and I love it
You just gave me a high five Mr Crafsman. Many Thanks, Eric.
Im only 1 cup of coffee in but ill make a second to get on your level 😁
thumbs up on hand puppet. love his intros, zany look, and vibe. would love to see more of the puppet throughout the videos. thanks for sharing all your crafting tips and tricks...enlightening and entertaining. 🤩
I had a trash day at work today but this video immediately made me feel better. Just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do.
This channel has really helped my anxiety. Thank you Crafsman!
A great Sunday just got a little better. I used to do graphics for signs and vehicles with vinyl and digital printing. Sometimes an old version of something is the absolute best tool for the job because you know it inside and out.
This is a great tool to use.. Ive done this same technique for years! Works great for seeing what a room looks like before you paint it too.
I cant get enough Crafsman!
👏👏👏 Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Crafsman!
I have been looking for a proper explaination tutorial about this for awhile now but you done did it RIGHT! Whoop Whoop!
Proper Teaching I always ❤ it and Value your knowledge. Thanks Again for being Craft-tastic! 😁🙏🏻
Idk why this was recommended but it was genuinely so relaxing to watch and I loved it
The zoom at the beginning had me cracking up 🤣🤣
Yet another fantastic video. Thank you Mr. Crafsman.
your so knowledgeable on your crafting crafsman
11:00 - That's a neat robot, well detailed.
"Give somebody a high five..." yes sir, I surely will.

I did this for my parents' old pop-up camper when they were refurbishing it and were tryin' to pick colors for the cabinets and counters. I suggested a pwder blue and harvest yellow. They were skeptical, until I took some photos and and did a color overlay in photoshop. Great and easy for any paint jobs around the house! There are probably even some apps for it now.
Even though I have discovered your videos/channel a mere few days ago, I already look forward to your uploads as well as the knowledge that you pack into each of 'em.
You made my day. Creativity is a Life Saver. You are Awesome !
I love this channel more and more all the time
I luv the sound of rain ty for sharing 👍🏼
@ The Crafsman; if you end up getting one of the Paul Braddock robots, I hope you paint it just like the suit on your free range chicken painting video! That way it’s a tribute to your work and his! Love this video! I bet this will help save some time and frustration for a lot of crafters out there in the universe!!! 😉
Love you crafsman...and crafsmomma too...❤️😃
This was unexpectedly helpful! I usually watch your videos just because I like you and your content. Today I got a Photoshop tutorial that was SO EASY to understand! Thank you, Crafsman - You're awesome. :-)

You encouraged me, CrafsMan! Keep it steady! Luv ya!
I loved this episode Crafsman. 😎
“ best believe I ain’t just gonna be painting that thing” 😁Loved that line
this is actually something I can use thanks CraftsMan
Crafsman!!!!! Love the videos, thanks for everything you do!
How the SC lord just explain you in less than 15 mins what a full course/lecture of Graphic desing takes 1 whole week.
It is so easy that i can play this video to some kids and they can get it ASAP!
Groovy, Crafsdude!
Nothing better than watching a Crafsman video..having some coffee..listening to his soothing voice while rain hitting the crafs shed
Best channel on
YT
I would watch the heck out of a video of Crafsman just babbling quietly over some gentle rain sounds
Ooooooooooooooh SNAP!
Not a Sunday until Steadycraftn!
Yo Crafsman! Your videos are the best! Thank you for teaching us while entertaining us! :)
I Love you, too. Keep steady craftin'...
Thank you, Sir for the schoolin’, the skills and the smiles!
Thanks for another awesome video CrafsMan!
Great! Thank you CrafsMan.
This man is a national treasure. Thank you for brightening up my Sunday Crafsman!
Thanks TCM! This is a great technique.
Crafsman knows the best colors to use - the ones you have on hand. I love the sound of the rain on your metal roof. Keep on steady craftin'
I've been known just to do a silhouette cutout and paint - not as nice as a software photo, but it gives you an idea. Usually your gut instinct tells you right off what will work, but I have indeed had some carvings (I do a little Doug Linker style carving) that defied proper colorization. Most notable, this mushroom man thing I still have right here on my desk. It had so many layers of acrylic on it, I scraped it all off to start fresh, and natural wood so far is the color to beat.
Thanks for your hints and tips Mr Craftsman! I always learn something and enjoy the video to boot!
this is the only channel that is equally educational, relaxing, and funny. Love your work, CrafsMan!
Another genius video. Thank you so much!
Always happy to see a new upload in my subscription feed.
Tus vídeos son muy relajantes 😎👌😳👊
That rain, man. So peaceful, perfect ambiance to play around in Photoshop or mess around with whatever figure is laying round.
Have a great Sunday.
you inspire me every time I watch you.
The rain in the background is so relaxing!😇🙏
Thank you sir, you really are a soothing voice in troubled times
Awesome job
Woohoo! More crafsman!!!
I'm a digital artist so I know all of this stuff, but because it's crafsman I'm gonna watch the whole thing anyway lol
Thank you for this!
I love the sounds of the rain. I just moved out of the Southwest and back to the Midwest because I missed the rain. Thank you for the informational and enjoyable video Crafsman!
u are the best!! pls keep it up Craftsman!
Loved it! Thank you Crafsman... hahahahaha so You were at the very end and you were still talking but I had scrolled down to comment. Only half the video screen was showing... You kinda bent down and it looked like you were trying to look UNDER the top of the browser to say "I love ya'll and keep .... steady... craftin'!" Love this channel.
Though more technical than most people would be doing, I for one appreciated the video because I am pretty proficient in Photoshop.
You’ve fixed quarantine for me. Thank you Crafsman. 🙏
My man's got a relaxing voice! Love it!
Awesome stuff, thanks for the info! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
From soup to nuts, Crafsman, you cover it all and make it interesting.
Awesome, CraftsMan. I use Illustrator so much, I forget many Photoshop techniques. I could use a nice little technique refresh video like this everyday! But not those straight technical ones. Enjoyable ones like this.😉 This was, as always, wonderful and informative. Thank you, sir 🌷💖
Something about the rain hitting the roof of your workshed makes the serenity of SteadyCraftin all the more soothing. ^_^
Excellent
That OD Green is the move!
Crafsman! Best part of waking up, is Crafsman video in your notifications! That didn’t rhyme, but that’s ok.
I thought you were going to explain how you visualize colors in your head. I said, “ Man! That’s gonna be a tough one to pull off cause we can’t see inside of your head.”, but you come bringing more techologistical stuff making me want to buy some software and try dat. That looks like a better way than what I been doing. Guessing.
You know I love you back.
He just gets better and better
Simple trick that's easy to overlook if you're a photoshop newbie. If you have a color figure that you want to make grey for the color previs, just switch the color mode of the project to greyscale then back to RGB. That will dump all the color information and give you a grey image of your figure.
Love that rain on the roof sound.
It's nice to get a refresher on PhotoShop techniques. Even nicer if it's with CrafsMan. :)
AMIGO ESTO ES SUPER RELAJANTE
Craftman, I've been struggling through using PS for probably 6 years now, but I learned like 20 things in this video. Maybe you could make some semi-regular PhotoShop/Adobe product videos!
thanks! crafsman for that video
Great one! Very useful info for all kind of projects not just models :-) Thanks Crafsman, I enjoyed watching and learned something that will help me in my projects. Stay dry :-)
Alternate method for photoshop, add a blank layer, set mode to overlay, make a hard brush and draw over the spots you'd make that color.
Yaaay new video!
❤❤❤yout channel is soothing af❤❤❤
It was awesome content 👍🏻🙂
Awe you’re so cute . The end had me 😍
The rain sound effects & your soft voice got me just like it did you
I love you & your videos .
