@@Erol_808Me too as an old bird we were given them in music lessons in the UK many years ago, I've seen them at a few folk festivals, my old Irish mum could play the accordion and it sounds very similar. I now live in southern Italy and was in a restaurant last summer for lunch where 1 of the waiters was playing an accordion from Russia and sounded the same, brought back happy memories, we only went for lunch but ended up staying till 8pm ❤
It's definitely Folk music. It has an old English medieval tinge to it. The Melodics sounds like a piano according giving that part of the song a french cafe society lilt.
This would be folk music, Gorran wrote this one I believe. Ren is playing the melodica. One of just faves. Not my usual type of music but whatever they do is fire 🔥
This is my favourite Big Push song. The instrument Ren was playing is a Melodica. Their performance was amazing. I love how they are all talented but not egotistical and just let each other shine through. Great reaction ❤❤
Ren particularly LOVES to find spaces with interesting acoustics, like this church. It won't surprise you that they didn't have permission to film there.
And this is a fine example of why Ren is bardcore.....I always imagine him doing the music for The Witcher or something similar. Ren seems to like giving every one of his friends a time in the spotlight....he doesn't hog it all for himself :)
If you check out the Ren - The Charismatic Voice interview, Ren describes the meticulous hours and hours he spent cleaning up all the sound files for most of TBP busking sessions. Ren is a perfectionist.
The overlapping lyrics that they did at the end is called a round if each singer is singing the same thing or a canon if each is singing something different. Another video they did a canon in is These Boots Are Made For Walkin'/Satisfaction/Everybody. That's Nancy Sinatra, the Stones & the Blues Brothers. And they're in a laundromat because, why not?
Melodica's were pretty common when I was a kid, often a children's toy but they didn't have the pipe to blow in, you'd blow in one side of it. I never saw a left-handed one either given you would hold it in the left hand and play the keys with the right hand.
Thank you for playing this one. I do wish reactors would notice the lyrics. They are very powerful. It seems like they are asking God if he is happy with what he created, and if he thinks things are going well…
If you want to see more of their original songs, check out Icarus. If you have the time, watch the official music video, as well as the one called "Behind The Push: Icarus", which is like a parody BTS video and is very funny.
I believe you had that right...medieval times style during the Baroque period. Songs written by and sung by Bards (generally paid performers). Sounds VERY LIVE to me. The "echo" effect you hear is singing in "rounds" aka canon like " row row row your boat" I'm no expert btw lol..check it out for yourself. The melodica he plays reminds me of older French music 😎 Good reaction.
Ren playing the Melodica
Thanks. I’ve heard it played, but never seen the instrument and didn’t know what it was called.
As a kid at school, we were all given a melodica in our music lessons as a way to start leaning cords and how to play piano :)

@@pom-pomAh, nice little story, we must be of a similar age 👍
@@Erol_808 those were the days ❤️
This was live in the Church. Ren loves his live. He will go into the studio afterwards and clean it up.

Goran has a new folk song type album. I am sure it would be similar. Romain has new music too. They are all so talented and just great to see live.😊
I need to check out Goran's music, love his voice. If I'm not mistaken he wrote the Swan Song
I just got Romain’s. It’s really good.
Simon and Garfunkel Scarborough Fair vibes - folk

This was the 1st video that they did as a band. It is what you would call minstrials like at a festivals

Dude... you know it's live. Common now! 😂

Well they do call the modern day “Bard” so yeah a medieval vibe🙂
Oops REN
They make beautiful music together❤

My teacher had on back in the sixties. She blew in the end of it and used her right hand to play the piano bit.

NO Genre shall be attached to them .
Exactly cause they can do a lot!
Old school vibes
❤❤
Bardcore for sure!
BABYMONSTER BATTER UP
French noir vibes
I have a feeling if you put made up instruments in front of Ren, he'd figure out how to play them at a high level in no time at all.
robin hood music🏹🏹🏹
It's hard not to like
Kaz love your reaction videos. Can you react to cairokee - telk qadeya it is a new song and it’s going viral
Troubadours?
This is old folk music. Does anyone tell you that you look like a grown up Opie?
❤❤❤
