Great video keep up the good work! Saved for later so I can check out a few of these. First playthrough was int build but I have been wanting to do a curved sword build forever and now I have 5 to play around with.

i just got elden ring, and was running a dual scimitar build! i'm at the lakes now, can't wait to get the lightning build going, it looks so cool. i might try to rush the lightning affinity stone just so i could start getting it online
Honestly I think 2 wing of astel is best for int builds using curved swords. You get colossal sword stance damage on heavies and the skill is a machine for staggering large bosses. Bandit’s is nice but WOA is great in its own right
Glad it's been working well for you. That build is pretty complete at level 150 - the damage won't scale much past that point. I suppose you could get 25 faith to cast the Golden Vow spell rather than the ash of war. If you are planning to level to 200 and beyond, I would recommend switching to the bleed build, using extra levels to get 80 dex -> 80 arcane -> 80 Strength in that order.
Most players tend to think that Bandit's and Scavenger's curved swords are the top one's in this category, but the best one is the Beastman's curved sword, which can be easily farmed right after the first checkpoint at the Crumbling Farum Azula location. And, surprisingly, it scales excellent with strength, not arc or dex.
In Blood affinity at rune level 150, Beastman's curved swords with Str/Arcane will outperform the bandit's curved swords with dex/arcane. That being said, "best" is a very strong word. For all the other builds in the video, Bandit's curved swords will do more damage that beastman's. Bandit's also have much more range than beastman's which makes hitting enemies easier and safer. Not to mention, Farum Azula is an end game location, so you won't be able to use beastman's for most of your first playthrough.
Great video, did a playthrough of the DLC with the Arcane Bleed build and it was excellent. What stats do you suggest post Level 150? I hit 75 Dex (80 with Milicent's Prosthesis) and 80 Arcane and then began putting points into Strength (while swapping the Dexterity Tear for the Strength Tear) - I'm unsure as to how well the weapons scale with strength (I know it has a C scaling that's equivalent to Dex but I also know these scalings can be weird) and if I would be better served putting in other stats for NG+. I guess it doesn't really matter tho lmao since everything dies within 30 seconds anyway!
You're doing it exactly right. 80 dex -> 80 arcane -. 80 strength in that order. You could try to get 25 faith too in order to cast golden vow spell, which is slightly better than the ash of war. that would also let you cast incantations with the dragon communion seal pretty effectively.
i prefer leveling faith to 33 for the real golden vow + howl of shabriri. dagger version is a lot weaker. for DLC if you don't wanna use howl you could go 25 faith and take a few points from end. I have 20 end and it's perfectly fine.

Now i wanna explore more and kill everything hahahaha
Magma blades have a cool ability on them that can do a lot of faith scaling damage. For jump attacks, however, the Bandit's curved swords in Flame-art affinity will do much more damage, at least in my tests at lvl 150.
Occult will do more physical damage than blood with those stats, but the Bandit Curved swords does not have innate bleed procs, so you would be giving up bleed by switching to occult. Against any enemy that can be affected by bleed, the blood affinity will do more damage overall. If the enemy is immune to bleed, switching to occult for that fight makes sense with those stats.
could I do a build with this or dual katanas with bloodhound step? Sry new to the game and I wish i had more mobility, but then i would lose out on the weapon skill damage possibly
For a blood affinity, yes. The weapon damage scales with dexterity, strength and arcane, while the bleed status effect scales with arcane. In order to get the most out of blood, you want 45 arcane, since that is the "soft cap" on adding bleed status effect to the weapon. Then it's usually best to invest in dex or strength after that, depending on the weapon. For the Bandit's curved swords, Dex is better than strength, But for something like the Beastman's curved swords, strength would be better than Dex. 80 arcane is good on weapons with innate bleed status, like the scavenger's curved swords. You want to apply the occult affinity instead, which makes the base damage scale primarily with arcane, and also improves the innate bleed status.
Hey curious about the lightning build, but what's the difference between going for lightning slash and electrify armament? I imagine armament is the option to use if one was to also play with lightning incantation right? Is it possible to just use lightning armament with the fire faith build stats (change talismans tho)?
Electrify armament scales with faith, can only be applied to your right hand weapon, and can only be applied to specific affinities (standard, heavy, keen and quality). Because none of those affinities also scale with faith, you would be looking at some sort of hybrid build, maybe dex/faith with a keen affinity. Ultimately I don't think electrify armament is worth building around. The weapons will do more damage either with a lightning dex build or a flame art faith build. If you do want to use incantations, just stick with the flame art build.

This is the problem with Elden ring for me. You dedicate doe a build in the game and then you have 1 playstyle with a very restricted moveset for the entire game. Jump and swing the whole game untill the end.
Nice builds however confusing as to how we can use golden vow to buff if the level you’ve shown us don’t have 25 faith. Also why is 18 strength required on the bleed build, surely just 11 as the soft cap for the weapon
The builds that have golden vow spell use the faith tear to get an extra 10 faith before buffing. The other builds use the golden vow ash of war on a dagger which has no stat requirements. 18 strength on the bleed build is because the bandit curved swords still scale with strength in addition to dex and arcane. That 18 strength is the first soft cap for strength investment, and with the stats provided has more dps than if you were to dump those points into dex

Poison has the same base damage as bleed (which is low). Instead of bleed procs, which each immediately deal 10.5% of a boss's HP, poison will slowly deal 6.3% Max HP + 630 damage over a 90 second period... Yeah, unfortunately daggers are one of the weaker weapon types, so you don't see a lot of videos about them. I will add it to my list, but I do have several other videos I am looking to make first. In the mean time, I would recommend either a parry or posture break build, since daggers have great critical hit damage (especially the Misericorde). I have seen a few misericorde builds floating around. If you are looking to just dual wield daggers and do a bunch of damage, you could do the exact same build as the faith flame-art curved sword build, except replace the swords with erdsteel daggers. That's probably the highest dual wield dps dagger build. You get one from Kenneth, and another in the Leyndell royal capital. If you really want to go physical, you could use the strength heavy build and use bloodstained daggers instead. can farm them from the demihuman chief on the bridge in the weeping peninsula.
@@sovelis7727 thank you for your answer, I saw the build parry but that doesn't interest me either because in fact I want to do physical damage with it I love the mooveset of daggers it hits quickly, besides what do you think of it build strength double Great Knife or Bloodstained Dagger with Cragblade and heavy affinities do you think it's good ?
The strength build uses the faith tear for +10 faith in order to cast the golden vow spell. The dexterity and arcane builds use the golden vow Ash of War on a dagger, which does not have a faith requirement.
magma blades are goated cuz they do similar damage to this double flaming strike setup, exept you dont have to do the whole double ash of war setting up part wich is so nice

Swap out Millicent's prothesis for rotten winged sword insignia because milicent's give you +5 to dex and you're at 80 for the dex build. RWSI gives the stronger buff.
Start of the video when grabbing equipment he said use wing sword insignia and Millicent prosthesis, reason he said this is RWSI and Millicent prosthesis are choose items so we can’t get them on the same playthrough, and you can’t equip both RWSI and the normal WSI to my previous testing thought my testing was a couple months ago. @@MawsYT I get what you mean when you say that RWSI is stronger than millicent’s prothisis Individually, however MP and the normal winged sword insignia together are stronger than RWSI by a good margin, further more MP stacks with both RWSI and WSI however neither of the sword insignias stack with each other so for a new game build you are better off getting WSI and MP for a total boost of 7%/11%/21% on the first play through as well as MP giving a +5 to dex so that’s 5 extra levels that at late game can be much harder to get due to the rune investment, rather than the RWSI boost of 6%/8%/13% and no boost to dex HOWEVER, if you are in new game plus and have access to both the RWSI and MP then that combination is stronger than the option of MP/WSI but this requires NG+ unless you trade the item across from a different account.

For a blood affinity, yes. The weapon damage scales with dexterity, strength and arcane, while the bleed status effect scales with arcane. In order to get the most out of blood, you want 45 arcane, since that is the "soft cap" on adding bleed status effect to the weapon. 80 arcane is good on weapons with innate bleed status, like the scavenger's curved swords. You want to apply the occult affinity instead, which makes the base damage scale primarily with arcane, and also improves the innate bleed status.

How do you use golden vow with level 15 faith ?
The strength build uses the faith tear for +10 faith in order to cast the golden vow spell. The dexterity and arcane builds use the golden vow Ash of War on a dagger, which does not have a faith requirement.
why 14 strength for bleed build? sorry for silly question
He starts off with the vagabond which has 14 strength. I'm guessing why you would level up strength is for resistance
I love the magma blades they do about that same damage tho
magma blades are goated cuz they do similar damage to this double flaming strike setup, exept you dont have to do the whole double ash of war setting up part wich is so nice

I chose mage class at the beginning of the game meaning I have more points in intelligence and mind will this affect my game?
You mean the astrologer? It will work great for the Magic intelligence build (build #3). The other build options will have wasted stats in intelligence though.
@@sovelis7727 yes but it can still work can’t it? Or will it be too weak?
@@o-lw6zf yes it will definitely still work, you just need to be slightly higher level to get the same relevant stats for each build

Just look up soft caps and weapon scaling, reach soft caps for each and if you go past the caps it’s deminishing returns
has this been patched? i juststarted a new character got the Swords put Flaming Strike on them but they have no Faith scaling. They just have Str and Dex scaling and the Dex scaling dropped to E. Please help what did i do wrong
It sounds like you selected the fire affinity on the weapon rather than flame art. Fire affinity mainly is affected by strength while flame art affinity is mainly affected by faith.

Trying the bleed but without faith at 25 can’t use incantations
Kinda late but at 10 faith you can use faith talisman plus faith tear to get to 25 faith or just use vow ash on a dagger.
Why using the golden vow on Dagger and not just the spell? Thanks =)

Edit because I forgot to finish my thoughts, just move 5 point out of dex so that Millicent’s prosthesis will just put the dex level at 80
@@malmbar687 I don’t think you understand what I’m saying and idk why you repeated what was said in the video. out of the two, RWSI is the stronger of the two. If you only have Millicents, then yeah but you’d benefit more from RWSI is what I’m trying to say so choose to help Millicent instead of killing her. Someone in NG+ plus could watch this, it doesn’t only apply to your situation
@@MawsYT I get what you mean when you say that RWSI is stronger than millicent’s prothisis Individually, however MP and the normal winged sword insignia together are stronger than RWSI by a good margin, further more MP stacks with both RWSI and WSI however neither of the sword insignias stack with each other so for a new game build you are better off getting WSI and MP for a total boost of 7%/11%/21% on the first play through as well as MP giving a +5 to dex so that’s 5 extra levels that at late game can be much harder to get due to the rune investment, rather than the RWSI boost of 6%/8%/13% and no boost to dex
HOWEVER, if you are in new game plus and have access to both the RWSI and MP then that combination is stronger than the option of MP/WSI but this requires NG+ unless you trade the item across from a different account.
@@malmbar687 ohhhh I see what you mean now

If you are comfortable with your health, more arcance/dex.
I thought bandits curved swords dont scale with arcane
every weapon does if you add blood affinity
whenever i put away my flame sword to turn on the other one the flame goes away
ah nevermind i see
Why not the occult affinity ?
Becouse bandit curved sword dosent have bleed on its own

1) Scavengers are 1 per NG.
2) Bandits are the longest.

Scavenger's are great, but I wanted to make builds that would be accessible early on in your first playthrough. Since you can only get one Scavenger's curved sword per playthrough, you need to be in NG+ to have a set of two. If you already have two of them though I would recommend an occult infusion with seppuku AOW - go 80 arcane, minimum str & dex.
@@sovelis7727 u mean 80 arcane and dex str just enough to hold the weapon? does not putting points into dex after 80 arcane good for boosting scavenger dmg?
