I always come back to this song. As a child of an addict and former drug and alcohol abuser myself it really hits me in the soul. This song perfectly illustrates how it feels to know you are making the wrong decision but not being able to stop it. Not many songs bring tears to my eyes every time I listen to them but this one does. On a lighter note come the fuck back to Vancouver please and thank you ❤

I used to be fucked up and crying to this song. But I lost my mom, hit rock bottom and challenged myself to give Jesus a shot after hearing some scientific information which I’ve found out there’s a surprising amount of historical & scientific evidence for Jesus & the Bible that isnt well known. Long story short after doing research and praying every day for my obsession to be taken away? It took me 2 months after I got out of my last detox to realize my obsession was completely lifted and had an experience that felt like a warm hug that washed over me and I even questioned if it was a placebo effect? But I’ve been sober for over 2 years and I just lost my father in a car crash 3 weeks ago and all I have left is my brother who doesn’t like me from how I was as a teen and how I was at my bottom. But I still have no desire to drink. So I know that Jesus’s name has some sort of power? Because I tried to stop myself for over 15 years and was a hard core athiest who became agnostic after a few paranormal experience & unexplainable things connecting and my life has been full of tragic irony. So, I beg you to give Jesus Christ a shot. Not religion! There’s a difference between religion and following Jesus Christ. Even Jesus was killed because of religion. So he’s not a huge fan either. He’s also not republican Jesus or hippie Jesus either. So I beg you to open your heart to Jesus and pray everyday that he reveals himself to you, and keep it simple. As long as you invite him into your life and allow him in. Because Jesus rang the door bell and is patiently waiting at the door. While Satan already crawled into your window and is in the house. Because Jesus won’t come in to help, until you allow him in. But satan breaks into your house without you even knowing it. It is eternity after all, so it might be worth to look into the evidence for the Bible instead of listening to people try to discredit the Bible but taking it out of context most of the time. Because you’ll either be more educated & more firm in your stance and if your right? You have nothing to loose? Or you’ll find Jesus and gain everything? But if you don’t find Jesus and your wrong? You have everything to loose? Because as an athiest, your fucked no matter what the afterlife is like. With Jesus you at least have some hope for something good after? And even if Jesus isn’t real? Then It won’t matter, after I die? But it will at least, let me lead a more peaceful & grateful life and help me get through the tough times like loosing my dad. So I’d much rather be wrong and have a better mindset & live a less stressful life.Than be an atheist and right. But still be miserable& question suicide? Because I think either Friedrich Nietzsche or Carla Jung said something like? when you really dig deep into athiesm? It’s horrifying how empty & meaningless your life is, if there’s no god & all meaning is just our brains tricking ourselves to stay alive? The only real question is why don’t you kill your self? Because when you really think about athiesm? It’s almost too dark to bare and it’s impossible to genuinely act it out. Because we act as if we all have faith in something or multiple things and we act as if what we do matters. But please don’t kill yourself. I was just making a point. We all worship something? Whether it’s money & materialistic things, celebrities & artist, your political party or ideology, or even yourself? Or you can try to build a relationship with Jesus Christ and help others and try to grow and transcend spiritually and worship what is eternal and have hope, faith & gratitude. Over being hopeless& miserable. Remember all the most important people in the Bible were the most flawed & had the the most tragic& painful lives. So remember that pain is inevitable. But suffering is optional. We live in a fallen world and have free will. If I can find Jesus and stay sober after loosing everyone who’s every truly loved me and basically only have my special needs dogs left and might loose them & my parents house, if I don’t step up & stay sober. So if I can find Jesus & not only stay sober. But have my heart changed? Then anyone can! Thank you to the one person who read this far. Nothing else changed In my life besides doing scientific & historical research on the Bible while praying every day & envisioning how it would feel to speak at a meeting with a year sober and actually felt the gratitude and get chocked up. While I was fucked up. So don’t worry about sinning too much to be forgiven. That’s a lie. Just open your heart & pursue him and remember that it’s not about religion. It’s about building a relationship that is better than any other relationship you’ve ever had. It’s you did read all this, it wasn’t a mistake. You were meant to read this and this is god talking through me. Please don’t give up hope and challenge yourself to do scientific & historical research on the Bible and compare it to other religions. While praying everyday for him to take the obsession away and envision how it would feel to be a year sober or whatever your desperate enough to pray to him about and actually feel how you would feel if your prayer came true and pray everyday for at least a month. Write a comment if you read all this and if it helped? If it helps anyone or helps anyone challenge themselves? Then it was worth the time to write this. I’ve spent too much time, already. To delete it or edit it down to Make it shorter. But just remember you are loved more than you think you are and your more important than you think you are. Like kid cudi said “ all the stories, the hero gets lonely. Now it’s time to show them what your made of.” You are loved and you can get through this!

I know about heroin just never touched it til my homeboy told me he need me in the game. I hit the ground running hustling everyday and everyday my habit grow more and more. It took me catching 4 felony charges to stop. Also I know I was on a quick path to my grave. I hope this may help you in your battle. Detox is a mother but with help we all can make it thru this together. Love and respect from the 321!!!
