50+ years fkn killing it! Non stop!! And, if the drummer is playing like that... it's almost 100% for sure Stanley wanted him to play like that. And to say there is no groove there, well... there ir a fk ton of groove, and skill... it just happens to be more drum'n bass oriented... but make no mistake, its fkn fire! That short A Love Supreme quote in Stanley' solo on School Days was absolutely beautiful.
Saw this show in Noo York for free in Central Park , and it was a walk in? No line … Stanley Clarke for free ! July and no line or crowd ? I guess this type of music is not as popular? I called all the bass players I know and none came? I was a big Chick Corea fan…and Return to Forever but when I heard Weather Report ! It was a whole different experience. More rhythm and cultural feel… I don’t know why there hasn’t been a Chick Corea tribute show … the church of science fiction has all his stuff ? I’ve seenRTF and wasn’t super impressed? I’ve seen all of them solo and they sounded better ? Al DiMeola is killer , Stanley Clarke with Gerry Brown on drums ! I don’t know when they get together it’s noodling ? I remember going to hear George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic and they had Dennis Chambers on drums ! And they completely smoked RTF ! Their bass player Rodney (Skeet) Curtis is on another page ! He’s the guy that was supposed to replace Jaco Pastorius in Weather Report ! But him and Dennis Chambers went with George Clinton ! That was a killer show . I saw the last Return to Forever reunion show…and when I came home I had to put on some Frank Zappa and some Brand X cause I didn’t get that at the RTF show ? I still love and support Stanley..but sometimes it gets ?
Not many bands can jump out of the starting gate like this.....as a bass player I always comment on the drummers...lets not be so busy and support the soloist organically...stay a bit more hidden till the song real needs it.....of course your a great drummer but these days who isn't
Stanley still has it but OMG the drummer can't stick to a groove, he's all over the place , using mostly single stroke rolls as fast as he can. No comment about the singer, not sure why she's there...
this is sad fifty years and still that scifi - scientolodchee hymn and than that noisy show off rendition of Pork Pie Hat Pop Jazz test of time proofed to be too much. Artists devellop in time. Blatant repetition this music is only half alive and three quarters afterlife sorry but there it is it was my first try with one of the members of RTF since they started thanking LRH for inspiration back then.

Génial. Au plaisir de se recroiser à un prochain concert !
Merci. Au plaisir et à bientôt.

Stan is still going strong!!
Wish I could made it to the show. I was too far away in the country side, too bad for me!

He keeps getting drummers that over play!!!!@😏🤔😡 miss lenny, and his sound, beats, simplicity!!!!!
Drummer is over playing a bit. Good energy..
More than a bit and seems obsessed with single strike rolls.
The drummer is trying to hard.😢
Right u are
…. too hard
