My Aussie saved us from a fire. Something in the water heater caught fire and the fire starting spreading in the basement while we were sleeping up on the third floor. We were staying with a friend and the alarms were not set up. She not only woke us up and scratched on the floor to let us know something was wrong downstairs. She found the friend’s cats and rushed them out to us so we didn’t get stuck in the house looking. She refused to come out until she found all three cats. She came out of it safely, we all did, and the vet gave her an all clear health wise. We saw her crawling low and fast on the floor, so she even knew how to keep down to stay away from the smoke that was starting to come up. She was never near a fire before! She’s such a good dog, and a total hero
Love my Aussie. She is 11 months old. Follows me everywhere whether it’s the kitchen, yard, bathroom, shower. She is always by my side. We have a daily routine whether it’s the park or river. She changed my life. Best dogs ever.
@@pemadamdul she was great. Slept through the whole night day 1. Hand feed every meal while training. Get a place board. Ben patient and consistent. Socialize them early. I took her to Home Depot at like 10 weeks for “walks” and socializing
These dogs' personalities vary greatly. I have had some that were very active and needed daily activity and others that are couch potatoes like my DazyDog I have now. She loves to play but not for a long time. She would rather snuggle than spend time outside playing. Of all the Aussies I have ever had Miss DazyDog is the sweetest, gentlest dog I have ever owned. These are great dogs for families with kids. Very protective.
the one and only con and one that you didn't mention is that every aussie will want to jump up on you and they have sharp claws. And they do shed leave hair clumps you need to vacuum daily. other then that they are perfect
We have had 4 Aussies over the last 25 years. Everything he said is very true. High energy, require daily exercise, and wary of strangers. If you want a sociable, outgoing dog that is friendly with strangers, don’t get an Aussie, get a golden retriever. Aussies are wonderful dogs, but when strangers or children approach to pet our dog, we say no.
Hi, i am planing to get a australian shepherd puppy in the summer. But i am, not sure if i should get a working line or a show line. Could u tell me some of the diffrence?
Those "young Australian shepherds" at 2:24 aren't even Australian shepherds. Those are Australian cattle dogs. So I'm not sure how reliable the rest of the video is if you can't even distinguish two Very different breeds when you're making a video Specifically about a particular breed of dog. 🙄
I see a lot of videos why people shouldn’t get them. I will say they have a lot of energy, and need to be trained right away. You have to let them out and run daily I trained mine off the leash, and she and he learned vocal commands. They come every where with me to my office, to long road trips. I don’t recommend taking on plane unless it’s private and they can be with you at all times. They will rely on you more then a child mine use to come in to the bathroom with me. Now they sit at the door, and if I take to long they scratch and bark. They really need to be next to you. And he said they can be around strangers yes and no, if you aren’t their or the people are good people my dogs go ballistic, they are well trained but strangers or bad people are a no go around thems. And please please don’t get one if you can’t afford to take of, these dogs will need the vet, the can be really brave and wild, and with age they will rely more on you, but while they are young and vibrant they will be right next to you their whole life no matter what nothing will keep them from you. But in return you will be their Shepard in later years of life most likely. They do not age well no matter how good you take care of them. They go blind quite easily.

@@ede93 omg! I notice some dogs have a bad smell while others don’t so that’s why I asked
My Australian Shep just passed away from cancer. He was 12 and 5 months old. He was the best dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning.
sorry for your loss
Our family is thinking about an Aussie, I’ve done much research about them and I have learned a lot from this video, thank you!
Thank you so much for taking my request!♥️

there’s more choices than a lab😂
Is that a synthesized voice used? It sounds somewhat "robotic", but I'm not 100% sure.
I have this dog
Part of your video is showing Australian Cattle dog puppies.
I have 2 mini ausis one of them is to young to run she is ten weeks old should she get a lot of exercise still

Show line
Work line tends to be geared more for work , his innate instinct to heard would be more prevalent
@@PhongTran-gu6fb well i am getting a working line
@All Over the Place “RedPanda” yeah i am getting a working line. I feel like them are better at herding, and in sports.
As beautiful as this dog is, I don't think I'd be a good match. Can you all do one on Golden Retrievers?

Please do Indian Spitz dog
Just to let you know the younger pups running are actually Australian Cattle Dogs ie Heelers and not Australian Shepherds

Mine meets me at the door with his frisbee.
Every day.
1:49 I love how it’s not an Aussie lol
Will Australian shepherd to Indian climate 🤔🤔
There are no cons to having an Aussie
Uhh... The running puppies you're showing in this video are not Australian shepherds. Those are Australian cattle dogs 🤦🏻♀️
