"William Tragedy" is the title of my story. Within my structured universe, a lot of the character's behaviour and motivations have changed.
It centred around a widely used concept that William wasn't the killer but was controlled by an entity known as Glitchtrap. Unlike most typical Alternate universes that merely choose to use Glitchtrap as a means for why William killed kids and anything else thereafter.
I've chosen to explain Glitchtrap's involvement separately from William directly and have made him appear within the story through legitimate means.
Therefore, despite being similar to many others that follow this concept, I've done it more logically. His creation seems genuinely possible given the nature of FNAF's supernatural element.
It doesn't make sense if glitchtrap controlled William to kill the kids BC William did it willingly and died and burnt in the second fire leading him to UCN which after a while fazebear entertainment scanned all the animatronics circuit boards and while scanning the scraptrap/springtrap which caused William to escape UCN and become a living virus .So how does glitchtrap control Mr Afton? And some of y'all are gonna say "Vincent is William aftons brother". Which is cap .Vincent is a fan made name for william.so how does glitchtrap controll himself aka William? (Sorry if I was rude I didn't mean to offend y'all ok?much love to y'all 🤗🤗)
Yeah, I get that, I'm aware of the canon. that's the entire point of the intro to this video, to prevent people from getting the wrong idea. The point is that nothing I do is meant to be taken as 'real' it's not some theory I'm making. It's just a story, a 'what-if' story in which what could happen if people's motivations were altered or personalities changed. This is honestly the hard coded definition of an AU(Alternate Universe) Anyway, to answer your question. In my story William had an accident when he as a normal person, not evil tried to bring his children back after he made several poor choices. For instance, despite not being bad, he still allows Baby to have that Icecream feature, but it still gets Elizabeth killed, Michael still ends up killing Chris/Evan or whatever his name is. So, in my story he experiments with those supernatural forces, and eventually has an accident where he enters a near-death experience. As it goes, that means your soul departs your body, (BUT NOT COMPLETELY) in this case he is surrounded by objects that are all directly tied to forces that focus in on the soul 'specifically' because of this they begin separating from his body and into objects within the room he was in. This creates three separate souls from his own, but he is saved last minute and remains with a fourth himself.
That means, his soul gets split 4 ways, William's Soul he has himself, and the three placed in different objects. Due to the nature of Agony, and from William's 'emotions' like the anger, hatred and sad they become the main factor that creates Glitchtrap. One Glitchtrap repossess William and ends up killing kids as anger can lead to revenge in spite of his loss, Hatred becomes VR Glitchtrap or how I dubbed Digital Glitchtrap who will follow a similar pattern but possess different aspirations and the sadness creates an unwilling Glitchtrap that doesn't resort to anything evil, and is otherwise alone.
The main argument people have against AUs have Glitchtrap in the past and to be separated from William is that somehow it's not possible to do? I beg to differ. This story is not canon, never intended to be. However, creating Glitchtrap in this way, still allows from the original canons events to play out. Because technically The Glitchtrap that repossesses William takes on that side of the story. While in the meantime, William himself throughout all this is mainly the same person, just with 3/4 of his soul lost to him.
Hence the name of my Alternate Universe's story being called "William's Tragedy" because in this story nothing about his life is considered fair. It's like the universe is trying to make him the canon William by presenting him with so many problems that he simply doesn't want. As if it were meant to happen, and it's simply his fate despite the "WHAT-IF" part it.
As a side note, I'm kind of sick of hearing the excuse that Glitchtrap can't exist in the past when referring to it as an Alternate Universe. It's not that it can't happen, it's that no one ever wants to try. How can you know what is possible if you don't think about it? But, this isn't a theory, I know what the true game lore is, but that won't stop me from having fun with an alternate universe and it should for anyone else. "What-If's are fun. What? do people hate the new what-if story about Avengers Infinity War? and Endgame? Thanos is literally a 'good' person in that 'What-if'
