Great looking racks, & right on time; as I am DIY'ing a big rack. I got the wood panels free, and they were already painted white. BUT! I already have quite a few threads, and I'll be able to write them off so, I might get lazy....LOL...I can always use the panels for something...we are crafty gals!! Glad your tooth is ok, and your smile emmanates from the inside anyway! Be blessed. Thanks for sharing.
I am fine Jeanette. Jerry and our kids have been here for the holiday weekend. I made a long video after he left yesterday, but something crazy is wrong with it. The sound is separated from the video. I have NO IDEA how to fix it. I will make another one today.
The website lists the prices as starting at $75 for the 30x40 and $72 for a 24x32; up to $110 for stained or painted. Shipping, of course, is extra (for my area in Virginia it was $19.77) . They're a beautiful way to organize thread.
Hi Joy, I love watching your videos :) you have such a great spirit. don't let anyone every take that from you! Gosh i wish we lived close i'm learning to make tops for myself i ordered the sfd dress kit which i received. now to dive into it. Please keep safe with all the flooding and tornado that is happening in your state. Praying for a safe drive back to Kingston (if you are driving back there).
Joy, I sure hope you are ok! Haven't heard anything from you in four days and there are a lot of tornado's in your neck of the woods. It looks like the one in El Reno is pretty close to one of your houses. If you read this please say hello so we know you are ok!
I Love your thread racks. i looked at the website & it says white stain & when i look at yours they look like they are white paint. i want them like yours . are they stained white or painted white?
What fun! I've been looking at your thread racks. Such a beautiful sewing room! It's so nice to see multiple videos! I have something I'd like to send you, but haven't a clue what your address might be. How does someone know how to get it touch?
I have another question for you or your subscribers. I have a Symphony Babylock machine & how do I darn jeans on this machine? LOL!!! I need a class on how to run this thing! I bought it used and was taken very good care of. Wanting to repair some jeans & can't seem to navigate to which foot to use & settings. Thanks in advance!
I have a question that I hope someone or Joy can answer. A while back, Joy mentioned someone who was taking scraps of fabric. Does anyone know who that was?
Her name is Rebecca Janes. I put her name and address in the description box a while back. I'll see if I can find it for you. Here it is: ruclips.net/video/Fr6Ndm9NHOc/видео.html
Please try to post something so we know you are all right through the storms. I read that all counties in Oklahoma were declared a disaster. I hope you are ok.
C&C thread works great for every day sewing without much fuzz. Since its pretty strong, I gave it a try in my longarm and while it worked great, I pulled the equivalent of a small hamster out of the bobbin area on each pass. 😜😜🐹
Thank you, you go beyond being helpful. The racks are very nice looking and easy to find the color you want to use. Is there a difference in the quality of thread between brands. Which do you like best? Aren’t we full of questions? P.S. I had bloodwork done today ✅
Hi Joy, may I ask which brand of thread you use? Also, I am very interested (I hope you don't mind me asking as I don't want to be rude) in what your business was and if it was to do with sewing or crafting. Eva UK x
I enjoy your videos, but I do disagree with these thread racks. Thread manufacturers such as Coats advise their suppliers to keep their thread away from heat, dust and light, so that it does not deteriorate before they sell it. I have inherited thread stored like this and it broke really easily. Large thread displays on the wall are nice o look at, but they become very expensive decorations if the thread breaks when you come to use it. Cheap alternative I made, get some large holed stiff # 5 plastic canvas, and wooden golf tees. Push the golf tees through the plastic canvas to create an adjustable thread stand. The tees are gripped by the plastic so that they remain upright, they are also long enough to accommodate a bobbin as well as a thread spool. Cut the canvas to fit the base of a drawer. I easily fitted one drawer with 80 spools of thread. The adjustability is what I like the most, as threads can come on very differently shaped spools; just move the golf tees around the plastic canvas to fit your current spools.
Hi Helen, I have thread 50 years old. I know because my daughter is 50 years old. It still works just fine. My thread is not in a lot of light or dust. Even if it did get dusty, it isn't going to hurt my clothes as I always wash them after sewing them. Also, I can just unroll a layer of thread and toss it if it is faded. I have never seen any of it fade, however. I have had a few rolls of thread that kept breaking; however, they were brand new spools. The company I bought them from replaced them. Should I happen to use a spool and it seems to break a lot, I would just toss it and go buy a new spool. Has not happened yet though.
Thank you for showing these! It’s 3 years after you made this video and clearly I’m still loving them so I’m sure someone else does too!
You are a hoot. You had me in stitches. Really enjoyed your video. I am a longtime seamstress.
You are very thoughtful to make a video just so that people can find out about your thread racks easily. Sweet lady!
I have been enjoying your videos! Thank you for the information about the thread racks.
I have really been enjoying all your new videos. I like that you post several a day. Glad all your doctor's appointment went well. Stay safe

How very nice of you! Thank you!
I hope you are well after the storms that came through your area. I'm looking forward to your next video! God bless.

The little break with family is a good thing. We will be here when you post again!

Thank you so much for posting this 😍🙌🏻
I custom ordered my spool rack on Etsy also but not sure if it was the same man who made yours. I love my rack. Very well made.

Thank you Alisha. You surely WILL figure it out. A LOT easier than learning how to knit!!! I tried and gave up after a few days. I can crochet though.
I’ve been wondering about your thread racks! Thanks for the info!
What a great idea to make a separate video. It will be easy to find now. Thanks.

I love those thread racks.....great way to store embroidery thread! What is the spacing between the spools? ❤️
You can choose between 2 1/2 or 3 inches, I think. You can see details at ETSY.

I’m fine. Made a video but it is defective. Sound is separated from the video. I have no idea what happened.
@@Joy4650B So glad to hear that you are OK! Thanks for letting us know!
Your floral blouse is beautiful! Did you make it? Thanks for sharing your joy!
Yes, I made it. I used Surefit Designs Dress Kit to make the pattern.
I Love your thread racks. i looked at the website & it says white stain & when i look at yours they look like they are white paint. i want them like yours . are they stained white or painted white?
Painted white. I got them from ETSY.
@@Joy4650B thanks

Thanks Joy!
Thank you. How about the iron behind you. Where you got that? 😝🇨🇦 you are awesome!
I got it from Amazon. It is a Rowenta steam iron.
Please try to post something so we know you are all right through the storms. I read that all counties in Oklahoma were declared a disaster. I hope you are ok.
I'm fine. I will make a new video today, and IF it isn't messed up like the one I made yesterday, I will post it.
Joy Bernhardt glad to hear you are ok.
Joy, does Coats & Clark’s thread work ok in your machines? I’m new to sewing and I was told it would cause too much fuzz. What’s your opinion?
C&C thread works great for every day sewing without much fuzz. Since its pretty strong, I gave it a try in my longarm and while it worked great, I pulled the equivalent of a small hamster out of the bobbin area on each pass. 😜😜🐹
I have used Coats and Clark on my sewing machines forever. No problems. You need to clean your bobbin case often anyway.
Am drooling!
Hi Joy, I am checking to see if you are affected with the flooding? I pray that you are not and that all is okay where you live.
We are fine. Company and hubby are here. I’m taking a break. Still raining a lot but we are on high ground.
I'm glad you are doing good. Enjoy your company, hubby and break.

I have not tried all brands, so I cannot answer that question. The thread on my racks is Isacord.
Hi Joy, may I ask which brand of thread you use? Also, I am very interested (I hope you don't mind me asking as I don't want to be rude) in what your business was and if it was to do with sewing or crafting. Eva UK x
We owned a medical equipment business. Wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, etc.
That thread is Isacord and they have 425 colors. I use it in my longarm as well as embroidery. It's fabulous thread.
????? Missing YOU!!!
