This is my favorite song from my favorite decade. I was in college in the 90s when this song came out. It is such a feel-good experience. Robyn had and still has a beautiful voice.
Some thought Abba was the only good group from Sweden: Robyn just a delight with this tune, melodically, vocally, Stumbled onto it somewhere and 25 years later still pleasing.
I think she was more nervous to ace this song at that time. That's a difficult song to sing. She was almost breathless. Hell, the vocals never stop. She did amazing. Sing on Miss Robyn, sis.
Actually, "the Rachel" haircut, from Friends, isTHE iconic 90s hairstyle however, Robyn rocked her , 'do.. also, I tend to disagree that the " Rachel haircut", was anything extraordinary, ESP, if you look at Jen Aniston. as a HUMAN BEING; & how she looks nothing like she *used to*..she got some *serious* Botox, a nose job, little tweaks & such here&there :nips& tucks .. everybody wants to look like her although, I *always* thought she looked mousey, I'm just simply saying that everyone is so obsessed wJen..she's probably a great person and it ends there...

I thought the rhythm section really made the song. I thought it was a really great organic and soulful live version of a very sterile pop song (I like the pop version too, but its very digital) Robyn sounded pensive and nervous but still pulled it off. I'd love to see her do this tune in the same format now with all the experience she has under her belt (and a less stiff audience)
I don't think it was about important people, she's giving off all of her energy to a un reactive crowd. A performer feeds off of energy. That's one possibility, another would be that she was probably working alot at the time and was used and abused by her label, she made better music and connected with the music she made as soon as she went independent.
