  • I need to confess something...this isn't click bait, it's a real life example of sin I came very close to willingly choosing this past week, even though I knew it was wrong. In this video, I'm going to share with you what happened that kept me from choosing this sin because it's an incredible example of how God's Word transforms us. It was a powerful reminder for me of how God's Word is meant to work in our lives to make us look more like Him, and why it's so important that we read it consistently. I need to confess sin...because this is a powerful testimony of God being glorified even in the ickiness of my own heart. I pray my story encourages you and shows you how God's Word transforms! 🤍

    Today I read through Proverbs 6 and the section that stood out to me actually really aligns with what I was talking about in this video...it talks about how God hates a false witness who breathes out lies, and the commentary touched on this same idea: taking part in gossip or rumors, or wanting to know the "tea" about someone. It made me realize that God speaks on this a lot because it's a big deal. I can tend to see gossip as a "little sin" but there is no such thing - it is is a big deal because of the division it creates in relationships, which God hates. Anywhoo...wasn't this story so cool?! I hope it was encouraging to you and I can't wait to hear your thoughts too! 🤍

    Venting isn’t gossip. Venting is a release of emotions that held in too long can hurt the person. If someone vented to me in his/her time of stress, and I passed it on without a proper basis to do so, that would be gossip and very wrong.
    Regardless of what I’ve said here, God is always right and CANNOT be wrong.

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 8 месяцев назад +3

      I could see where possibly the person venting could be gossiping as part of their venting. It depends on the context. But how can we ever have true deep community with others if sharing our struggles and our deep emotions is viewed as gossip???

    • @KKTanaa
      @KKTanaa 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@bunny_0288I agree. It’s hard to say something is gossip when one is venting and needing help and counsel and guidance. Yes, we go to God. God also used people to help us as well. I think the motive of one’s heart plays a part.

    • @bunny_0288
      @bunny_0288 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@KKTanaa I completely agree! It's one thing to say, Oh you'll never believe what Donna said to me the other day. It made me so mad....
      And it's another thing to say hey Donna said something that really upset me the other day, and I don't know how I should handle it. What do you think?
      I would say the first one definitely is coming from a gossipy heart, but the second one is coming from someone who wants advice on how to handle a difficult situation.

    Whenever I hear gossip about someone, it changes my view of them such that I can’t ever seem to see them otherwise. For example, “did you know so and so is a ??!” From then on I only see them as a ??! Gossip ruins relationships.

    Disobedience to God always cost us something: I really needed to hear that, and I know its true. I have been working 40-70 hour weeks, and have neglected my home. I was allowed to cut hours, and only work 30 hour weeks, but I still feel guilt and have to neglect my home and husband. I dont have energy to do both in a satisfying way, and everything ends up being unfinished at home. God have recently called me to quit my job and enter a season of homemaking,and I havent obeyed him yet, even thou he keeps leading me to bible verses about married women, and how our home and family is our primary responsibility. And I feel its such a valuable calling and responsibility. And i know God will provide and help our life change. Im just batteling with the guilt I feel, because I work for a small family streetfood restaurant, and without me they might have to close down. Also, I live in Denmark, where homemaking is frown upon - making it even more important to obey God. I see my disobedience so clearly,and the Lord is so patient and kind with me, diciplining me and helping me see. And I feel it is a sin to disobey him clearly, and I see how weird things start happening around me, so I know its a spiritual battle about bowing to God or to the world. And as a pleaser, I need to learn that. Praise God for being so merciful, kind and patient!

    I’m Orthodox Christian and you’re hands down my favourite channel for encouragement. I have been in a long season of trials, tribulations, and suffering and although God is bringing me out of it after 3 years, and is now blessing my life in ways I almost can’t believe - I noticed my devotion had slipped away for a long time now - my daily Scripture reading. Which I can see and feel the effects - it is truly nourishing and keeps us in accordance with the Spirit. Thank you so much for your channel Kaci and thank you the encouragement and inspiration - it truly is the Holy Spirit working in you. God bless your sweet family 🤍

    Just 2 days ago as i read Matthew 25vs37 the words, "when were you sick and we visited you?", kept ringing in my mind and I realised that my neighbour has been sick for a while now and I had never visited.The Holy Spirit was convicting me of this and the moment I realised what i needed to do i still tried to find excuses to not go but realised that would be disobedience and I went to see my neighbour.She was so happy to see me and everything made sense why i couldn't get the verse out of my mind.

    Jesus, hear my prayers these past three years have been difficult on me I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.❤

    Nooooo lol me too
    Lastnight / this morning i was fighting thoughts it was bad.... I didnt give in and stayed up and played a sermon and i felt better but man the heart is uncontrollable! Dont open the door of love prematurely because its beyond difficult and unnatural to close. But if it was an unGodly tie, it needs to be closed.
    I failed... Straight to the throne of mercy i went, repent right away.... Sin is bad i see it for what it is more... And how in our emotions /flesh we are as people without the holy spirit conviction
    Thus video is great. Perfect timing for me.

I heard about something the other day that led me to easily gossip about someone. Today I am going to see people I know will talk about it and I can go along with it and contribute to it, but God put this in front of me as a reminder to not feed into it. Obey Him and His Word

    Hey Kaci, just to let you know, this video was a blessing to me. Recently, I had just prayed to God if being an eavesdropper was sinful. I love to hear gossip at school. Though I don't ask for it, I hear it all the time. I willing lend my ear in to their conversations, and like what you said, it was sweet and irresistible. My mom has also be gossiping about a certain someone, and I didn't tell her to stop. Rather, I kept on listening. Thanks Kaci. God bless. If you hadn't been obedient, my prayer would have been answered

    I don’t like gossip and I don’t like to gossip. One time at my work during a break some colleagues were speaking mean things about another person who was not present. I told them to stop bcs they just sound jealous of her bcs she’s very beautiful and proper. They were just giggling after that. So I don’t think being terrified and legalistic about every little thing is an answer. As we all know God can turn things meant for evil into something good.

    I wish that's what that verses meant, that's funny. When I know people have been speaking about me and I can feel the effects of it. I have sent them that verse, I want them to be aware I know they are gossiping and what God has to say about it instead of how I might feel. When masses of people reproach you because of a twisted tale, it's a difficult process of forgiveness. It's like being in junior high all over again, it's the same people. I expected that to dissipate as we became adults, maybe that's why I am so disappointed by it. I can also see the damage it would cause to somebody who is weak and that angers me.

    It's not necessarily wrong to vent. Venting about a person is much different than expressing concerns in our lives to a trusted Christian friend. Yes, we should always go to God first and ask Him for guidance. But, God works through people because His Spirit is in us. He puts people in our lives to counsel us and lead us back to Christ. Some people need a Christian counselor or therapist to make sense of their past, trauma, etc...I think venting can be different than gossip.

    It's funny you ask actually watching this in reading Colossians chapter 3. Yeah from your video by the way. Yeah I needed to hear this. Thank you so much. You have a blessed day

    This is such an important video, thankyou. Do you perhaps have a video or guidance on how to deal with multiple narcissistic people in our family and community? I don't know how to deal with this situation without speaking about the acts of these people (between my husband and I) for the protection of my husband, myself and our wider family members. There are smear campaigns, witchcraft, triangulation and more being poured out on us, so I'd love to know how to deal with this in a biblical manner without sinning 💜

    Well done! My Proverbs 31 wife is perfect in my eyes. However, I always wondered when I talk to my mom, she wants me to put her on speaker? She "desires" to know what's going on in everyone's life, not from a nefarious standpoint, but out of curiosity. Hmmm? But, what good does that bring anyone? Thank you for this. Now, how do I tell her this without her telling me that I'm judging her and starting WWIII? I'll make sure there's no Spinach in my teeth first! 😉 Praise and Glory to God!!!

    What are your thoughts on abusive church leaders that when their victims speak out are called gossipers?

    2 Peter 2:1-3
    2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
    2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
    3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

    Not going to lie I guess I didn’t know that listening to your friends vent meant sin. I ran into this scenario this week, where I was listening to what my friend said and tried to give encouraging words over a friendship ending on her side.

    Hmm. I probably shouldn't gossip or look at women with lust or envy the couples I've seen or be angry about everything but I dont have the skills or knowledge to work anywhere else but crappy retail. Unless im isolated and never see or speak to anyone, then I guess I just need to learn to live with these issues. Nothing else I can do.

      @@lililala722 didn't work. So I'll just isolate myself. I'm never going to be happy for others getting what I had wanted for a long time. So ill use my anger and resentment to keep people at bay so I never have to deal with them rubbing their marriages in my face again.

      It's very important to learn the Word of God so that you can mentally prepare & arm yourself against the flesh / ways of the world. Memorize scripture so in your moments of weakness the Word will echo throughout your mind, anchor you / bring you back to center. Google "bible verses about lust KJV" and every other struggle you listed above and start memorizing. Pray without ceasing & always ask God for forgiveness immediately upon stumbling & ask God to reveal to you a way out of each of these situations. I find when I'm reading scripture, I receive divine downloads & inspiration from God on improving my own situation or how I also play a role in specific situations/ habitual sins.
