The 5th Dimension. I may have never ridden it, but looked really good with disney like storytelling. Gotta love Zappomatic though!! And that it had a Retro sci fi element to it, which is becoming rarer to come by every year.
What I find strange about Bubbleworks' closure is that it was a family attraction (as in all ages could enjoy it) - it honestly surprised me that they changed it to the Gruffallo ride seeing as it only caters to younger children. I get that Bubbleworks was aged, but logically you'd want attractions that appeal to the widest audience possible imo 🤷♀
Ah yes, the amazing scent of the fountain room on bubbleworks, and the time I started crying in the mirror maze of hocus pocus hall when I was three before we noticed the green line on the floor.
Great video! I really miss Bubbleworks. Went on the gruffalo replacement theming and hated it. It was so much better as the Bubbleworks! I’m still very bitter about this 😬 Oh and of course, Terror Tomb, before tomb blaster took over. I loved that ride but only got to go on it once. Also remember as a kid really enjoying the permanent circus that was there and taking on my stepbrother in the action man assault course 😆
There’s 3 I can think of you missed out: 1. Magic carpet - that was bonkers from my childhood memories! 2. I’m sure there was a little “steam” railway that went around the park when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s! 3. The iconic monorail - such a shame to have lost that!
My small kids loved prof burps bubbleworks. In the early days they had strobe lighting at the water tunnels that gave the effect of individual drops of water moving slowly around you. It was quite magical. The kids both remember it.
I've Used To Love Going To Chessington World Of Adventures Theme Park In Chessington In Surrey Just Outside The Capital City Of London In England In The United Kingdom When I Was A Kid. Thanks Mate. X
It’s such a shame. Prof Burp’s Bubbleworks looks like such a creative original ride. The Imperial Leather Bubbleworks looks like an interactive advert for imperial leather. At least the flume was more creative still. Gruffalo River Ride is way better.
Which defunct Chessington attraction do you miss most?
💯 bubble works 💯

The Rock N' Roll finale of Terror Tomb was crazy lol
One of the kookiest set pieces ever done in a dark ride hahaha
Such a bizarre surprise at the end of the ride 😂

You missed the sky rail that would take you above all the animals!
Last time I went there was ‘95, so this brought back some memories.
I been on all of these I'm 40 and thank you memories for me that will never be erased with my dad x

Agreed about Imperial Leather! 🥤🥤
Fun fact! I was there when it shut down and I thought I was going on it but it sadly shut ( I’m glad I didn’t go on I was terrified )
Which one? 😂
