As a Bert fan, this was a real night to remember. Was on the back straight, unusually - normally stood on turn 3/4 bend. After years of watching Bert never really cut the mustard on WF night, it was a delight to see him motoring around Odsal with perfection and getting stuck in. Great to see Bezz come in 2nd, too - he definitely deserved more honours. Thanks for posting this video!
@prf76 Have to agree. We were unusually in the stand at the end of the start finish straight. When Bert took the lead, everyone stood up and cheered.....a truly magical moment :D
The only other race to equal this, was when I watched Bill Batten at Skeg in the consolation semi final. Starting at the back in Rob Speaks car, because he couldn't get oil pressure in his, won it on the last bend.
@@MalcOfLincoln I was at Coventry the year before when Ray Tyldesley won it, but didn't get to the 1990 final. Been to every WF bar Ipswich in the last decade or more though.
I remember this night as it was one of my few visits to Bradford atmosphere was great when Bert took the gold. Would love to see Craig emulate his dad and win the world final

What a fantastic race.
Certainly was Clive. Very lucky to have been there. I rarely cheered like many did, but when he won I did, and jumped for joy.

Yes, It's the best Stock Car race I've seen, and the most enjoyable meeting!

I was there, in the middle of turns 1 & 2. As a life long Bert Finnikin fan I this has to rate as my best night at Stock Cars. WHAT A RACE!
Beat was my great uncle
Lisa Ewing Was? 😱
What a track, shame we do not have anything like this now.
Scunthorpe and Kings Lynn the best shale tracks now. Bradford was good but nothing will ever beat the original Belle View.....
No I don't think Anything was as good as Belle Vue, though Coventry and Sheffield have always been good. Not sure about today's tracks.
@@philipdowns6723 Crewe was awesome, so fast but very poor facilities
@vickeyhurlebaus :D Brilliant idea
