There is a moment in Martin's books when more than 20,000 Dothraki were defeated by the Unsullied, of which there were only 3,000. The Faultless are armed worse than the Lannister army, they have light leather armor that weakly protects against arrows.

“Only a fool would face the Dothraki in an open field” meaning you should have walls to stop them so there fucking horses can’t trample and you along with the way they fight and how they attack, it would be easier to fight them from behind walls with arrows and not in the field with swords/spears/whatever Dothraki’s use

On one side I see heavy infantry armed with large shields, spears, with the support of archers with long bows.
On the other, I see light cavalry without stirrups, with ineffective weapons, rushing into a frontal attack on a wall of shields and spears.
If this had happened in reality, the Dothraki would have suffered a crushing defeat, as in the case of the unsullied, who defeated them in the field. Even in the series, it is clear that the Dothraki poured into the gap punched by the dragon, otherwise they would only be defeated.
Again, it is difficult to say definitely about the fighting skills of the Dothraki, with whom they fought? mostly with cattle breeders and farmers, they have few really strong opponents, except for small mercenary armies, in the passage that I described, they attacked a city guarded by such mercenaries and defeated them all, and then a bunch of "unsullied" came and defeated them themselves.

The Mongols under Genghis Khan were undefeated. Even if they were to go up against Alexander the great they would have made short work out of him. There was no army in the world that was able to defeat the great Khan.

Seeing the Dothraki all jump to one knee while on horseback in unison is one of the best parts in this scene.
I liked that detail too, the archers Dothraki are awesome !

@@zake19m she could have done it a lot easier with 3 dragons. The only reason the Night King seemed credible was because he had undead Viserion and broke the Wall. If Dany had gained control of Kings Landing by then she would've had all those soilders, plus her armies.

One the most exciting scenes. Before this moment Dothraki screamers were tales told to them like nightmares, same for dragons. To see both coming over that mound wouldve been terrifying,

The force behind those flames were always amazing... breathing hard enough to blow stone walls away.

I always wondered what the Dothraki thought of her and her dragons as they got older and bigger. She rode a dragon while they rode horses. I also wondered what Drogon would have thought of Danny riding a dragon? I think he would have been totally impressed with his Queen.
To tell the truth the Dothraki army was enough she didn't need the dragons that's how powerful she was 😎😎😎
