Imo he's one of the most underrated anime composers out there despite him making incredible music for some of our most beloved shows. He's the guy behind Your Lie in April, Plastic Memories, Fruits Basket, and much more. It just baffles me how he isn't more well-known.

Words cannot express how good this OST is. Makes me feel so happy, yet so empty at the same time. Absolute masterpiece. Enjoyed the anime, despite apparent contradictions to the manga.
I think people need to see this anime for what it is meant to be, and not dig deep and go analytical.
If we're talking about personally, it's a solid 11/10.
Best OST I've ever heard in terms of impactfulness. Only OST to make me cry, especially during the scene, but even by itself.

Back in primary and middle school i was that type of person who never cried on the last day Of school I've always believed to leave memories behind and turn over a new page because i thought why hold memories if it will hurt to see them go (Friends , relationships , teachers ect...) but i felt that all the memories that i left behind were also emotions i had felt during those times. There's a person i know that i meet every time before and after high school and she is really weird. She is the type of person who thinks school should be cherished cause it happens only once in a life time. One day i told her "why do you care for school soo much and why hold memories of school when they only hurt and make you cry on the very last day" then she answered me with the most unpredictable answer it was actually laughable She told me "Why leave precious good memories when you could hold them in your heart for the rest of your life and keep them where ever you go" after hearing her say that i started to think Why did i ever think good memories could hurt me in the future. Thanks to her i was able to hold special memories that i now continue to make in high school and always keep them at heart.😊😊
Their last day at school, a beautiful blue sky,so many memories and a life changing relationship, she brought light into his life. Loved this series so much.

Got into a relationship with a girl like Hori and watched the entire show with her, it was awesome feeling so close to the characters and such. Plus Miyamura and I are quite similar, we were even bullied in middle school the same lolz. We broke up in the middle of october and now anytime I see stuff relating to the anime it just kinda stings. We still talk, we're still friends, but I can't help this feeling that I wanna be more. Listening to this had me remembering all the laughs and such, and even fantasizing some kinda big speech I could give to the song to her about me wanting her back. Buuut I know damn well I can't. So instead I'll just leave this comment and with it my feelings for her. Of course I'm not bouta leak names but uh, I love you B, but I have to let you go.

God if the word beautiful was made into an anime it would be Horimiya. Everything from the story, the characters and their relationships, to the music, art style and color palette. Just everything about this anime is just so beautiful. It’s making very emotional.
It's unbelievable how this anime killed me.
This OST is something different... this anime... made me think about my life.
I've felt lonely and i'm still alone; i feel loneliness and in this period is getting harder and harder; in this year i've also developed serious social anxiety and i can't do anything that has to do with strangers.
I've always been alone at school, always left alone as i was different and focused on what i loved.
Ever since I was 12 i kept telling to myself that everything will be okay, even when thinking that maybe it would be easier to end everything...
now i'm 19 and i'm here again. feeling as lonely and empty as ever, trying to find my way out but having nobody on my side.
I'd like to believe that things will be better, but everyday it gets harder and harder... this anime amplified my sense of loneliness, but i loved it...
I don't know why I'm writing all of this, I probably needed to vent out I guess...

Hope you are fine brother, don't worry we have all been there, things will get better sooner, though typing this comment looks like how everyone usually tells, you can get through it brother, been like that before but started doing some good exercises like meditation, it helped me clear my thoughts and a lot of social anxiety i had before was going away slowly, hope this helps you.
As an 8th grade boy, 14 years old as a matter a fact, I feel like there is so much for me to unravel about myself. Every time I believe I've realized who I'm becoming, It's just washed away but works of art like this. Which is fine, I'm young and I'm still learning myself. It's just crazy to me that I'm months away from high school and less than a month away from graduating middle school. It was all for sure a ride. I'll bet I'll be writing this same paragraph as a graduate from high school, but that's far from now. I just figured to write this to let out emotion I'd never thought I'd feel. I love everyone who was with me since my earliest days. My parents, my friends, and even those people I don't really like. They're the people that shaped me into the person I am today. I just pray high school isn't as bad people seem and that growing up isn't that bad either. It's just time is moving way to fast, It's truly hard to keep up with everything but I'm just living it up at this point. Also, not writing this because I'm sad, or in need of love. Just this anime (Horimiya) made me feel ways that I've never felt watching any other anime. This piece of work is truly one of a kind. And I also thank it for opening my eyes, opening my eyes to the world that awaits me. Thank you, Horimiya.

I'm entering High School in a couple months, and I feel like even though I think I know who I am, I'm sure there's so many more people I'ma meet and many new experiences, too. And more to learn about myself.

Masaru Yokoyama is a genius composer, and I've always fallen in love with his compositions. It's nice to see he is one of the composers who created music for Horimiya.

There were a lot. I say this with conviction A LOT of scenes and arcs that weren't included in the anime. Could easily be a 2 or 3 season anime. But i am still grateful. After waiting for how many years to get a proper adaptation. Still one of the best romances anime I know.

I definitely love this anime it definitely makes me feel better and single lol but its a amazing story tho and usually we can't find boy and girls that are loyal, kind, funny, mature and others cause they are in another world.

This is the best scene in the entire series and its almost all because of the melody. It does a perfect job at just being wholesome and beautiful that really goes with the overall message of the series.
Love isn't all just grand gestures of admiration.Love at its smallest yet purest form is finding someone who accepts you for you, and wants to be with that everyday. Just accepting you at your rarest, most vulnerable appearances, and accepting that's who you are and that's okay
Horimiya made me realise how much a person could change your world. I met a girl coming into secondary one and we got together, it didnt last long but she felt like hori, she felt like yorikawa, but i couldn't be her miyamura. Perhaps its been exxagerated but i dreamt too fast and far into the future, thinking if all the things i wanted to do with her. I realised that ive spent way too much time on realising what ive done wrong rather then actually coming to terms and chasing her back, somehow breaking even more relationships along the way. She has a boyfriend now which i believe honestly much better than me. We still talk from time to time, but the feeling of emptiness is still there. Graduation was just 2 weeks ago and i now have 2 months until my national exams are over. Im hoping that i can finally end off with a good note, clearing up everything, saying a few final messages thats been on the heart ever since that day. So as i find myself typing this, i want to thank horimiya for finally allowing me to realise my feelings and that to continue onward. To my future gf, i hope ill be able to enough for you and that we can be like hori and miyamura. And to horimiya, for showing me a reality that was once my dream, bringing back fond memories and desires we once had.

The ending to a beautiful anime had me in tears
I have this void in me, I've been longing for something forever now. should I be hopeful or just give up? there are times when I feel like there is someone out there for me. and times I feel like I might end up alone. Ik it's silly. ofc there's someone for me, God hasn't made me live alone...I pray almost daily with sadden eyes and sadness like the world darkens over me...sometimes a ray of light peaks through and I wonder what I must do. it hurts because over the years I tend to find out I am not a monster I am not ugly I am not an awful human. I am beautiful and have a big heart and sympathize with others. I tend to give my efforts my time my trust my love my loyalty and no one dared to know me well... I don't know why I am sharing this with the world. what do I seek? I can see how beautiful a person is, my eyes see within a person. I can tell and learn a lot about the kind of person you are. I seek someone who will look at me and know that I am who they seek. but am I asking for a lot? I don't want to settle for less either. I value myself and I do love myself. but I have mixed emotions. will someone set me free of this darkness once and for all? someone..pls... take me out of this darkness I don't belong here... I desire the light that rids of all darkness and shines my path. I don't know who you are and what your struggles are but know that your life is valuable and keep good people around you and do your thing. sometimes we forget and take for granted of things we have now and worry about things we don't have. The only thing that truly bothered me, both in the manga and the anime was it didn't end with an actual marriage. If that did take place, I would of been happy if it ended there.

Empecé a leer el manga hace mucho y cuando salió el anime tuve la suerte de poder verlo con mi novio. Todas las semanas esperábamos cada capítulo con mucha ilusión, creo que incluso nos sentimos tan reflejados que nos enamoramos aun más. Esta ost es muy importante para mí porque cada vez que la escucho me vienen a la mente miles de momentos con él. No sé qué nos deparará el futuro pero ojalá sigamos cogidos de la mano como Miyamura y Hori.
