Rafa Benitez is a Liverpool legend.
He is, but he's no Klopp ....Klopp deserves a statue
@@jonblazeinc I'd like to see Klopp with the lousy team and budget Rafa had. And I'm not saying Rafa is better than Klopp.
@@glebov8645he wouldn’t have won idc…that team was brutal and I’m a Chelsea fan
@@Kwame0007 That Liverpool was not even among the 3 favorites, and who knows if it was among the 5....
@glebov8645 you been sleeping under a rock? The Liverpool team Klopp took over in 2015 was poor compared to the team he just left....you can even check the line up against Spurs for Klopps first match as Liverpool manager, you're delusional if you think Rafa is in same class as Klopp
The moment Rafa saw Danny he told him he won't play much in his side. He didn't give him false hope. Danny moved on and played regularly for other teams. That's how men should talk to each other
Exactly!
Rafas man to man management wasn't great Robbie keane treatment comes to mind even Gerrard said Rafa wasn't great on that side of the game .
Still convinced Rafa blew the league title that year
@@mikedon5205Robbie keane did not deliver
@calth9305 never had a chance
In fact it was no coincidence keanes best run came when Rafa was in hospital .
Then sold him in the new year when Liverpool were top of the league it was bizarre from the manager
@@mikedon5205 he was not good enough for Liverpool at the time
Simon a bit nasty about Rafa there. I don’t think the Xabi comment he made was in such bad faith. He was asked a question and gave his interpretation.
The problem today is people get shown or listen to snippets rather than take time to hear the entirety of a conversation or podcast and pass judgements largely without context or effort to understand what point was being made initially
@@jamdonut4021 agreed i just watched the overlap with Rafa on it and these guys have just taken this out of context and clipped up what they wanted to,poor from these guys which i dont often say
I knew this would be blown out of proportion especially by talksport and espn. Two biggest muppest
Simon dislikes Rafa and takes every opportunity to criticise him.
You are correct here, Carra initiated the topic about Xabi on the overlap first and Rafa was all praises about him as a person and was straight to the point about there relationship.
Simon hating on Rafa for no reason. Carra initiated the topic about Xabi on the overlap first and Rafa was all praises about him as a person and was straight to the point and proffesional about their relationship.
He’s the opposite behind closed doors though, he’s horrible to people he ignored his staff, ignores his players, he’s a terrible man manager
Simon clings on to certain grudges forever. Simon doesn't like Rafa because Rafa spoke out against Mike Ashley when he was at Newcastle and Simon will always side with football club owners, first and foremost. Simon thinks he's balanced, but he's not really, he's full of biases.
@@Mrdunnex Says you. I don't listen to rumours like that.
@@Mrdunnex Ive heard that about him from former players but strange coincidence or not its players who didnt do well under him like warnock, pennant etc. Player issue? or manager issue? who really knows.
Simon made mistakes at palace with managers. .. he talks a good talk Simon a bit like Brendon Rodgers … Rafa was a good manager ..
sound is fucked again. sort it out talksport
Thought my internet was playing up so it’s not only me
Why do TS always have issues with sound? Very annoying
@@effigy420 Ive been listening for years, this is the first time. you have no idea what you are tlaking about.
Man I wish someone had gotcha-ed Simon Jordan when he sniped about "despite all the expert analysis from no one thats ever maneged Liverpool", and asked him if the only thing he should ever comment on is owning Crystal Palace.
True, Simon is a massive hypocrite and contradicts himself like this all the time.
I think he was including himself in that. As in to say who are we to judge from the outside.
I’m surprised Simon ever employed any manager. 😮
What’s with the poor audio?
ohh Good its not just me then
Audio is annoying me today🤣
Murphy a Liverpool legend in his own head the parcel
That's not for you to judge pal.
@@MentalityGiant I’ll judge what I want if that’s ok with you
Calm down if thats ok
@@joe883proper scouser calm down harry enfield would be proud ya bin dipper
Did anyone listen to this beforehand? Audio is terrible today for White & Jordan’s clips.
I think that’s a reach Simon in regards to Rafa speaking about Alonso leaving because Alonso is doing well. Rafa was quizzed about the situation because of how Liverpool fell off when Alonso left
It’s Simon jordan all he brings to the table is making snide remarks about every apart from daniel levy and Todd boely
Danny said it right... He just wasn't a Rafa player. Rafa is an absolute technical manager. After watching his recent interview/show on sky sports you see Rafa knows his stuff but language barrier played a part and players/the game evolved
Telling you now England should appoint Rafa.
He don’t give a s*** who you are and he’s brave with his decisions.
Good shout but he needs paco back if he got Paco back he could coach any team
Alisson lost a chunk of last season to a hamstring injury. May have focused Liverpool’s thinking towards task of getting long term replacement. Seems smart. Esp loaning back out.
Rafa managed him for 2-3 weeks during pre season in a US tour and sold him and replaced with Xabi Alonso.
Scored 21 goals from right mid though Stevie g 😂🔥👏⚽️ master stroke from Rafa Benitez
Exactly! Moving Gerrard out of CM (where he was an utter liability) to Right Midfield, then to No10, was a tactical master stroke!
Danny you wasn’t good enough my guy, thanks for the winning goals against Man Utd mind you
Thought audio was my earphones what's going on?
Am I the only one having issues with talk sport videos keep jumping
I'm afraid Rafael seen Danny when he managed valencia in a friendly against Liverpool and Danny played and was substituted because he was terrible
Why are we now talking about transfered fees in euro not pounds 🤔
Because Mamardashvili plays for Valencia in Spain, which is a country whose currency is the Euro?
Why the hell would Rafa want to work with a 'hire em fire em' owner like Jordan at Palace? 😅😂
Simple answer, he wouldn't!
Simon is a clown sometimes.. what does it have to do with Alonso being a manager. A case of not understanding or comprehending what is being talked about.
Sort your sound out ffs
To find a elite goalkeeper is not easy. Smart business from Liverpool
Murphy was a bang on average player, everyone knew this but him. Rafa just done something about it loool
Pissy audio
Simon is being unfair here and I don't think Rafa would want to work for a owner like him as Simon doesn't know about Football n the pitch
The problem with Jordan is his huge ego which means that when he was with a football club he was the most important employee. That view now informs his opinion ie that owners are more important than the other personnel eg manager and players and he always looks at things from the owner / executive perspective
Simon could never have a manager like Rafa. Rafa would not allow Simon to interfere in football matters and Simon would not be able to handle Rafa' s strong personality. They would clash from day 1.
Rafa would give him an education on football, and slap his ego into the ground. What's Simon Jordon won as a manager? Aye, exactly.
Shock - Simon backs Mike Ashley 🤣🤣
Danny was a bang average rafa was right to get rid
Who do you play for?
Agreed
Simon Jordan and Piers Morgan must be related. Both start to hate from absolutely nothing
Is this audio terrible or is it my phone?
I am thinking that Simon Jordan may know less about football than he does about boxing.
So him, Stephen Warnock and Peter Crouch have all publicly spoken about Rafa Benitez. It's probably true that Rafa had treated some his players quite badly.
In my opinion, his pride got in the way with relation to the second Milan final. He failed to make the obvious changes to attack and stretch that old defence of Milan as it had done against Madrid in the semi.
@@sitaylor You really should listen to what these players have said about him before carelessly saying something that you imagined or believed.
@@sitaylor 😂 Keep imagining things in your mind.
@@sitaylor That's one person's opinion. so you are basing everything on Steven Gerrard's opinion? Lazy, lazy, lazy.
Didn't Jurgen Klopp also move a load of players on when he joined Liverpool? I think he did. In fact, most managers want to bring new players in and get rid of some other players, that's completely normal.
behave Danny you had no relationship when you left Liverpool the same time Rafael came in at the summer of 2004 lol
I think I'll take Danny's version of events over yours, since it's his life he's talking about. Who are you again? I mean, you were obviously there at the time, since you have such great insight into the situation.
I'd go so far to say Rafa is probably the most underrated manager in the PL and even his work at LFC ... not really appreciated enough.
I don't know a single LFC supporter who doesn't rate Rafa! Not bothered what other teams and especially low life pundits think either.
Yeah it's not like Rafa's face is on giant banners held up by the Kop during massive European nights or anything like that. Trust me, Liverpool fans remember and appreciate him, ffs.
Don't talk shite lad. The majority of Liverpool fans and scousers love Rafa for what he did for our club. He will ALWAYS be a legend at Anfield.
The way that Benitez - when with Liverpool - was able to grind out results and progress through the rounds of cups, especially the Champions League was outstanding. The the was good but not great and he got them over performing. Regards Everton it was probably a mistake to take the job as it’s impossible to succeed somewhere that you’re not wanted.
Simon and his endless grudges against people he's never even met..... he believes in redemption though, don't you know 🤦♂
1:22💯🎯
talkSPORT, Keep making videos!
Not with this audio quality mate.
£30mil to replace a £70mil keeper - if Mamadashvilli proves his worth then its great business, rather than waiting for Ali to leave then probably having to spend 70mil for his replacement having missed out on the georgian.
Rafa was a superb manager for liverpool ,the fans loved him imo
Some managers are made for one club Rafa was one of them he was better than Roy hodgison , and Brendon Rodgers ( the nearly man).. and if he had stayed he would of won more we had 2 cowboys in charge no money ..and brought in 3 usless managers. Brendon and Roy ..Brendon. Nearly done this and that won nothing. Oh he nearly won the prem yes he nearly did everything never good enough to be a LFC manager ..
Murphy stole a living at Rovers.
He was actually good at liverpool good free kick taker
Sir Elite Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Rafa better than Maresca who causing many strained relationships Danny
Simon hates Benitez.
Sounds like Alison has refused to commit after his current deal, so they’re planning ahead.
That's speculation. Here's what's going on. Adrian left. Kelleher wants to play regular first team football so might also be leaving soon. We need a new back up keeper. Hence Mamardashvili. No hint or sign that Alisson is unhappy or wants to leave the club. You're welcome.
@@MentalityGiant
Yeah, going out and buying a first choice keeper then sending him out on loan ... totally a replacement for kelleher or Adrian.
😂
@@danielberry4765you might be right
simon doesnt look well
Hasn’t he just gone through cancer treatment?
Kelligher will be sold soon
That right wing season was one of his most productive if not the most productive of his career!! Its a team game bro
Not £40m more like £30m Jordan you helmut…Liverpool will easily be in the top 3 let’s not start thinking Utd & Chelsea & Spurs & Villa will be overtaking last seasons Top 3…not a chance.
Danny droning on again
😂 only knew him for about 4 weeks
Simon is a weird bitter person, soon as he doesn’t like someone he makes up weird things about, they asked him about xabi, he’s not bitter about he is doing as a manager
Simon really waffles sometimes
if utd were buying marmadashvili, Murphy would be saying he's shite
Untested, a risk, all that rubbish. You are spot on
Manure fans never switches off their victim mode do they?
United fans, always finding a way to be victims, even when the video isn't about Utd. Always crying when a video is about Utd and isn't 100% positive and when a video isn't about United, United fans have to somehow make the video about united, just so they can keep crying.
@@stevethedweeb3846 This video is not about the manky wanks
Is Simon's brief just to find fault in anybodies elses argument bar his own just for air time?
Danny Murphy was awful for us..he was booed more by the fans than people realise
Simon comes out of this little segment the worst of all.
Simon clickbait Jordan!
Maybe Rafa could sniff out a coke head from the moment he layed eyes on you.
Benitez shot himself on the foot when he tried to sell alonso. 😂🤦♂️😡
Alonso definitely suffered a dip in form in the middle of his Liverpool career. Wanting to replace him when he did was entirely understandable from Rafa's perspective (not convinced Gareth Barry was the right choice for that replacement, though). It just so happened when all that fell through Xabi re-discovered his form and gave us a great season so his departure hurt more than it might have done.
@chris nonsense!!! Alonso was always world class and always one of the best in the world at his position.
A dip in form from him was still better than anyone else in that position
@@docholiday-lm4vf Nah mate. I remember it the same way Chris does.
Both full of sh”t. Your boy wanted away and agreed terms with Arsenal . Easier to blame Benitez than admit the truth. And alonso rejected you again for manager . Must not be a special club as you think
@ms pal alonso and benetiz both admitted and said Benitez put alonso on the market!!!
Thats very very common knowledge pal.
Everyone knows that, pretty embarrassing that you don’t
AGAIN.....think Danny needs therapy
Murphy - what a borrrring person 😴
