Wow I loved this video. My story as being a dad with a 25 year old daughter 🥰 Now I´m a Leica M6 man since 1996. Had the MX - it disappeared - just bought a MX for her birthday. This video contained exactly my feeling with my old trusty MX. Bumped through most of the world. Thanks so much ❤
Hello Jasper I’m so happy to hear that. This is how photography connects us all. I hope your daughter enjoys the MX and that she creates memories with it like we did 😊
I had to tell my daughter what was coming. So no surprise gift. Her response was: Jubii then we go out at play with our cameras. My M6 and her MX. Can´t wait. We still got our iPhones and Spotify. She is buying LP´s and aware of listening to a whole album - as it was meant to be heard. Both ways are great. Happy that she has got the interrest in both worlds - as I have. She saw your video - made her even happier 😍 That was sooo important for a 62 years old dad ❤@@ArmandoStreets
PS Where are you from ? Love your accent and think back to Cuba and Fidel Castros two last speeches at 1. of may and a lot of beautiful pictures of people......The thought because you sound southamerican :-) I´m from Denmark.
@@wvideoyahoodk Hey Jasper you have no idea how happy it makes me that you could share that special moment with your daughter thanks to this video. I hope you guys can have many more moments together sharing both analogue and digital worlds. I’m originally from Venezuela. I’m happy to have you guys here in the channel 😎🙏🏽📷
A couple of reasons I chose a Pentax DSLR are the convenience and cost savings of not having to always develop film, but moreso for the simple, inexpensive metal adapter that lets me use any of the billions of lenses designed for Pentax cameras all the way back through the M42 screw mount version on hoth my digital and my MX. I also prefer the older glass on my DSLR because they give my digital photos that soft film like quality that the human eye naturally sees.
Have you noticed any issues with the focus not being perfectly aligned when you have a lens set to infinity? I have tried two different lenses and two different bodies and been seeing that issue on both. Just curious if anyone else has and if it's going to be an issue?
Me too. I love this, my pentax me super and lx
They are the best! 😎
Fantastic video! I love how you picked such personal reasons for using film photography.
Hello my friend... I'm happy you enjoy this video 😊 and yes... Film photography is deeply in my heart!

That sound great Rae…combining the boat of both eras. Thanks for sharing part of your workflow with us. It is nice to have you here!
One of my favourite analog cameras!
Mine too my friend 😎👌🏽

@@ArmandoStreets Ok, thanks for the reply. If anyone has experienced please let me know and if theres a fix. thanks

Wow…I love all the cameras that you just mentioned….superb choices my friend
what is that box in the hotshoe?
Hey there my friend... It is the light meter I normally use... I talk about it on my Mamiya C220 video 😎
But in your video you say the MX light meter is renowned for its accuracy. Is the meter on your MX broken?@@ArmandoStreets
@@jeff5721hey Jeff…yes you are right. Unfortunately it is broken. I have one more MX in which is working and the measured exposure is always spot on.
