Parsi is the original word for Persian used to mean both the language and ethnic group, e.g., English people, English language, same word. Arabs don’t have the letter P in their language so when they invaded, the name of our language became Farsi. The Persians that managed to flee the invasion to India escaped the Arab influence and so they continued to call themselves and their language Parsi rather than Farsi

Enjoyed the whole conversation. The fact that you were abled to ask so many interesting, important & comprehensive questions in such short time made this video enthralling. As a 1st time viewer of your videos, i found your video very interesting, liked it a lot.👌 & Bahador's concise but knowledgeable & deep answers based on interesting facts is always pleasant & interesting to watch.💫

As a fan of Bahador's channel, I enjoyed this conversation very much. I'm surprised that Bahador said that Zoroastrianism is monotheistic religion. As far as I know, Zoroastrianism sees the world as ruled by two forces, good and evil. In the Talmud, there are arguements between Jewish sages and Zoroastrians. In the Jewish prayer there is a blessing refering t God who is the creator of both light and darkness because Jews believe that there is only one God who is good. This blessing was written because Zoroastrianism was very popular and influential at that time and our sages wanted Jews to remember that God is one and darkness isn't created by an evil force.
I'm here from your discussion on similarity between Lithuanian and Sanskrit. It was amazing and was quite surprised with similarity. Can you explore a bit on this aspect and do a detailed video for that. Subscribing you just in case you make a video on this 😊
Hi! Thanks for subscribing and I am happy that you’ve enjoyed the Sanskrit-Lithuanian episode! I will have this idea in mind. Hopefully, I will be able to find a qualified guest to interview for this topic. :)
On the question of spread of Indo-European languages, you should try to get linguist Peggy Mohan, who has written books on this topic. IE mainly spread Nouns into new regions, for example the syntax structure of Lithuanian & Sanskrit is different, but they share Nouns.
I am from Tajikistan. My language is Persian, and when I say Tajik, I mean the Tajik dialect of Persian. Salam va durud ba forszabonon.
Cool! How do you say in Tajik “nice to meet you” ? :)

Well done ❤

Bahador = bohater (PL) = bogatyr’ (RU) means “hero” or not?
It might be a cognate, that is true. Nonetheless, I can’t say if it’s true. It can be a false friend as well. :)
@@theinkwellpod maybe the Scythians and Sarmatians have something to do with it.🌷🧀
