I don't remember any other final where the winner was so clear to me. In my eyes, Amir completely deserved this Red Bull BC One (as the other Kazakh b-boy, Killa Kolya, that should have won a few years ago the final), but I also admit that Phil is a great b-boy that is not just power moves, and, if he had won, I wouldn't be mad. The final this year was very good.
True, amir perform so good in this competition that you can't debate his winning every round

I thought it was kind of wild that Amir didn't get the direct invite to BC One this year. Apparently it didn't slow him down, just runs through the qualifier and the last chance cypher and then BC One itself, no big deal.

Great battle, great event, this was the best lineup since 2016 as well. I picked Phil Wizard to win it all but Amir was just too versatile
I had no idea who Amir was until the last chance cypher. I instantly fell in love with his style in his battle against Morris, I thought "this dude is gonna make it to the finals without any problem" and oh, surprise! He ended up winning the main competition. WHAT A BEAST!!🔥🔥👏🏼👏🏼

imo i completely disagree. i think amir style is completely wack. its a bunch of leg flailing around to some freezes. his second round was better and clean but 1st and 3rd round i think completely went to phil

Phil Wizard was just amazing the whole competition, he was on another level and he really deserved to win the whole thing. But damn, there is probably nothing you can do against Amir right now. At the moment he might be the best bboy in the world, outside of BC one aswell. Respect to all bboys and bgirls though, the level is getting higher and higher. Hope Phil will get his belt soon.
You aren't a 100% right tho, Flea Rock did win against him, i would have wanted Phil Wizard to win this competion.

Yeah, Phil took that first round for me no doubt. 2nd round was solidly amir because of Phils slips and repeats. 3rd round also the same, he repeated two times and his final combo was a repeat since he already did a drill to airchair earlier plus the rough landing didn't help.
But Phil was dooope. He just bulldozed straight to finals.
Also, damn, I want to see a RBBC all star team with Phil, Amir and Menno. That line up is unbeatable

i was watching the final before this and thats the first thing that struck me - battle was boring, and I couldn't chalk it up to the bboys... but the dj.
He ran out of best-beats because of the number of battles held in this world final.

Amir started out in a small town (Petropavlovsk) in Kazakhstan. With the help of my hard work, self-confidence and obstinacy, understanding of the structure of the battle, I was able to win at Red Bull BC One! A striking example for all of us and my hero. It is an honor to know him!

@@TvisZ Not a division B, it will still be a BC One but grab maybe 8 of the best runner ups as a direct invite. At the end of the day they still need to battle there is no guarantee they'll win so it's definitely not a participation award lol.

If there was ever a battle worth a tie breaker... Don't get me wrong Phil did good he wasn't as clean as he can be but Amir was on point and won fair and square. But I could watch these two have a conversation on the floor for hours. My favorite match up
I am not sure, maybe I am just getting old, but why do I feel that the battle was not like 10-12 years ago.
I think the beat is more exciting and the battle is more intense.

Amir seems like a quiet guy, his eyes seem a bit sad too, didn’t show too much emotion but he was probably happy inside. I’m glad he won, his style is sick.
I think this guy Amir is the best winner of Red Bull BC One in the history. Here are the facts why:
- every round he got all votes from judges
- always starts first
- underdog from last chance cypher
- from the country you wouldn't expect great Bboys
- the unique style that nobody cannot copy
Nobody will beat what he has done.
This was one of the best final battles ever, after so many rounds they were both still going strong. I would've picked Phil as the winner but the battle was just that close I'm not even mad
Amir won 2nd and 3rd round but Phil wizard 1st round is interesting to watch .

phil actually had a good chance to win this years redbull bc one. i think one reason why he lost against amir was that, phil used all his insane moves in the earlier matches and ran out of "content" when it came to the finals. Against someone like amir, you cant run out of content because amir is really really really good at freestyling with very little repeats. Respect to amir tho for being amazing at what he does and showing he belongs there.
Because solo battles are the main theme now and you have to be so well-rounded that you won't see the same originality as you once did back in 2000's.
Meaning you see a lot of the same fundamental moves well really well sown together but not like a NEW move

Just want to point out I've been saying Phil vs Amir in the finals of Red Bull for the last year. Also predicted Amir winning. Both bboys had been on a tear this year. This was the only battle Phil has lost that he's entered all year I believe.

so to qualify to the Main event, you have to win a final in any of the organised capitals?
Two ways to get there:
1. Be invited (12 dancers per category in 2023)
2. Win the Red Bull BC One Cypher in your country and then make it to the top dancers in the Last Chance Cypher (top 4 from the Last Chance Cypher made it to the World Final stage in 2023).
