Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is the third entry in the Red Dead series and a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. The story is set in a fictionalized representation of the United States in 1899 and follows the exploits of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang, who must deal with the decline of the Wild West whilst attempting to survive against government forces, rival gangs, and other adversaries. The game is presented through first- and third-person perspectives, and the player may freely roam in its interactive open world. Gameplay elements include shootouts, robberies, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and maintaining the character's honor rating through moral choices and deeds. A bounty system governs the response of law enforcement and bounty hunters to crimes committed by the player.

But my only complaint in 1st person is riding the horse.. i prefer 3rd person view for that, or pick a destination and let cinematics takeover 🤷‍♂️ but I will say the details in weaponry is sooo much better is 1st person and idk if people realize that or not.. plus the gore better in 1st person dang it you can see soooo much more details ✌😎 I agree is mypoint

This is by far my favorite game! You can press L2 to interact with virtually any npc in the game and talk to them. It’s fun to antagonize them. With gang members, it’s fun to greet them twice and then antagonize them. Looting is important especially in early game but you have to determine when. Like on the train robbery mission, you could have just looted the train and the bodies after ordering the guys back on the train but before starting the train. You can study your horse as well as all wildlife which comes in handy while hunting because perfect animal pelts are useful for crafting clothing and to upgrade your satchel for greater carrying capacity. Great episode by the way! O and be thorough when searching cabins. You can press L3 and R3 to use eagle eye which highlights items that can be interacted with.

Glad to see a new RDR2 experience, I'm on my fourth playthrough right now, and still finding new stuff. There is so much in this game, my best advice is to take your time. if you progress through the main missions ( yellow ) to fast, you will miss out on some side missions ( white ) and random encounters. chapter 1 is for learning controls/mechanics, chapter 2 opens up the world and as you progress through some of the early missions, items will be unlocked. Once the Fence is unlocked is a good time to take a break from missions and explore the world, finding supplies, cash, items, collectables and weapons. When exploring outside and indoors use Eagle Eye ( what you used to track the deer ) it will highlight items for easier searching/looting. ALWAYS carry a horse reviver with you, this world can be dangerous. Most of your questions will be answered as the story progresses. I've never seen lagging with a PS before, maybe clean out some old files. This game is huge and needs room to breathe. I have added other games to my PS and noticed some glitches with RDR2 when my memory is more than 3/4 full. This early in the game it is important to loot, if you don't mind being yelled at, LOOT Everyone. Some missions give you time to loot after, and some don't. Holding L2 when near someone will prompt a option to talk to them. When you unlock the Stables, you can own 4 horses. There are many wild horses you can catch, tame and bond with to fill your stable stalls. Or you can take horses from the dead/ living or purchase from stables. I'm sure you will enjoy all the horse's you you can have. This game play does not need much editing, please leave in all your mishaps and mistakes. We all have had them and they are entertaining to watch. If you play for 5 hours just clip it to 2 or 3 videos. Most RdR2 fans won't give spoiler's, just hints and tips. Enjoy the Best Living Open World game as you live and survive in the old west of 1899.

      @Vagabound Год назад +2

@@Classified8-P No but I saw other motion capture sessions. From Assassins Creed Odyssey for example. To me it looks more difficult to make mocap recordings then usual acting because you have to imagine all the things around you and to work with nothing or sometimes with a few boxes and imagine it is a campfire or something. But what I heard the actors get very good discriptions of the scene they're playing. So the work of the directors seem much more important to me too.
Anyway in the end it's much more then voice acting 😉

I have never connected with a video game character on a personal level, but Arthur Morgan is my hero. I know its weird. He is everything I want to be as a man minus wanton killing, but his duality of wanting to do the right thing, but feeling like he is always doing the wrong thing is totally relatable. A flawwed man, but a kind man and a deadly man. A perfect snapshot of an Old West gunslinger.

If I may be a hypocrite for a moment, I will give two very basic tips:
    1) take your time, linger, enjoy the best open world ever created.
    2) prioritize white mission icons as they are missable. Yellow icons progress the story.
Hope you enjoy. This is the game that got me back into games. I’m still looking for something with the same impact, I don’t have high hopes.

I'll never forget the first time I experienced this game. Because you don't play it you experience it! And I am not one to replay a game I probably only done it two or three other games. But I've replayed this 14 times and I still like it I'm currently on another playthrough right now. And I'm very interested and watching someone else play at that hasn't yet so I will be following along. and since you said you're a horse lover I think you'll really enjoy this game. They do justice to the courses in this game. It really has to be your best friend because how important they were to people back in the western days

I am so glad that you are playing this game! I've been playing since 2019. I would take your time with the story and don't rush through it. It's very easy to lose yourself in the nature and story of RDR2. Also, I would turn on the setting in the subtitles to where it shows you who is talking. This may help you learn the names of the gang members. Have fun on your journey!!

Super hyped to see you play this game, the Red Dead Redemption series are my 2 favorite games of all time.
Just a heads up, a lot of people will give you advice and tips on the game, these can be very helpful of course, however I have seen some let's players be discouraged and annoyed by people backseating and being aggressive because the let's players aren't playing "the right way".
I really hope you do not experience this.
Anyway, love the videos, I found your channel because of God of War, and I cannot wait to see you experience this wonderful game!
BTW, don't worry about not playing the first game, RDR2 is a prequel :)

    Best tip:
when riding long distances between 2 places and you are getting bored
    a) stop, set camp, and fast travel ( to fast travel you must purchase the ability at dutchs tent in camp)
    or
b)ride to a brisk gallop, press the touch pad to activate "cinematic camera" mode, and your horse will auto ride to your selected end point which you can set in the mini map. Your horse will not hit anything, and you can almost sit back and enjoy the wilderness (your horse can get tired and buck you off, so set the run speed at a medium gallop, your horse will make irritated noises before bucking you off however)

So I played the game twice and now I started playing it in VR with my index and I have to say it's like the first time I played it.
I only play in first person and without the map. I got lost way too many times, but it's so immersive and breathtaking. You have a different bond with the characters, a more personal one. You have eye contact, the shooting and hunting is more challenging. I would recommend it to anyone who has VR glasses.

Came here for the "from software" games, seeing you playing rdr2 is just the cherry on the top. A little late for this party but you were spot on about the horses, including Dutch's Arabian. Also, the attention to detail in this game is beyond an OCD level. I will only give one tiny little example as I want you to experience as many as you can on your own, so... the horse's testis will shrink in the cold weather,if you go up a snowy peak. So yeah, they did the horses well in this game. 😂 Keep enjoying this masterpiece and have fun!

From what I got, before the boat job at Blackwater, they had a decent amount of money and needed more. Now, Arthur and Hosea had an option figured out to jump some frauds' money and were working on it, while Dutch and Micah came up with the boat heist. Unfortunately they chose the 2nd option, which either just went bad due to ppl making mistakes or was just a bait from Pinkertons from the get-go.
At this point in the story I just felt like Dutch was slowly losing his edge and I kinda pitied him, cuz he was the leader of all of those people, who looked up to him for a solution and with all the things that went wrong, there was a lot of pressure on him. I guess this might be why he thought "gotta score something big or the group falls apart - or even worse, they turn against me". IF he thought that - that's just my interpretation.
