I have this ipad running ipados 13.1.2 it runs like a dream except for a bit of overheating yes app support is limited and some apps don't work but those apps have a web version so it doesn't really matter i have no plans of updating my ipad since doing so seeems to be inviting slowdowns.

Unfortunately this iPad doesn’t run iOS 15 that well. When it comes to applications I had apps that won’t run on iOS 15 that are able to run on android 8 (which was released much earlier) in 2024. When it comes to Apple devices it’s much more of problem not being on the latest version of software compared to Android devices for functionality.

Like Samsung phones, even when they stop getting the latest Android updates, they will still continue to have plenty of App support for at least a several more years. Basically, this iPad has about the same chipset as the iPhone 6 and 6 plus did which stopped at iOS 12, however because this iPad had an extra gig of RAM, it was able to go up to iOS 15 along with the 6S and 7.

It's still fine for RUclips and stuff if you still have it, but buying one is not worth it. I still have one and some simple apps like Ebay don't even work anymore and you can't update them.

Ebay still kinda works but tbh it’s just pushing it, it will just work on the browser version. But yeah also most bank/Financial apps 100% don’t work on this ipad anymore. Though still useful for simple tasks, browsing and watching videos.
