Integrated with my Apple ecosystem it’s absolutely amazing! I love it!

I was starting to lean away from the Apple Studio Display from so many reviews that say it’s not worth the price, but your points really validate and clarify my personal preference for the Studio Display. Apple integration is a plus and there is something to having something that makes you happy. I went down to the Apple Store a few weeks ago and I loved the Studio Display. Oh, and thanks for the comment about the Nano option. I was leaning towards getting that because looking side-by-side at the glossy, the Nano texture was glare-free. Although the contrast wasn’t as rich. It still looked nice, but just overall more dull. Thanks for the real life review.

I got an Apple Studio Display a couple of months ago. I spent a lot of reviews and there is a time leaning towards LG 38" Ultrawide, but I never regret about my decision now. I used this display next to office window, but I have not got any issue of the reflection on the standard display. The reflection will be only problem if your window is back. As you know Nano option also decreases the contract. I do not think it is worth. If you consider, just go for it. No regret even in 2024. I personally recommend high adjustable stand for ergonomics. Your body or health is the most important other than anything else.

Thanks for your long term review. I’ve been using a 2010 iMac as an external display for the last few years. I know it will die soon and this is the monitor I’d like to move to.

If I can afford the iMac with 16gb and 512ssd or the basic iMac mini with the studio display, which should I get?

whatever is more important to you, for me minimum 27” screen is a must

I like the flexibility of having a separate monitor. Maybe you wanna hook up a laptop to it next someday

Hi. What resolution do you use it at? 2560 x 1440?

      5k.

It's 5k downscaled to 1440p, meaning it's 1440p with retina effect on 27 inch monitor. If only it had 120 Hz, that would be perfect.

@@Sol-ub3ww For some strange reason I don’t find the lack of 120Hz a problem on this monitor like how it is with the iPhones (ProMotion).

Got it this week for $1100 from someone who upgraded to the Pro Display XDR. The camera is way worse than my iMac M1 though.

Believe me Apple know all those cons, but his greed due costs dont leave them do it.
