Heck, almost the entire continent of Africa could make this list. There are a few African countries that are stable and have relative prosperity, but not many. There is one trait that all countries on the verge of collapse share: corruption. It is a given that poor and unstable countries are permeated with corruption. The sad fact is if a nation's society accepts corruption as a norm, it defeats any real efforts at reform and perpetuates the general poverty.
Amazing how some of us define corruption. In the west they corrupt everyone and no one says anything but we’re quick to point corruption in Africa. Amazing. Also in Africa they own what they have, no one lives in a fantasy of owning cars homes clothes. Those concepts don’t exist. It’s 54 countries with many many doing better than others. Like the US you won’t say Mississippi Alabama Kansas Wyoming Ohio Detroit Michigan etc are great states/cities that are great. They suck big time So basically saying it’s relative. Given the persisting global economic crisis, it's essential for individuals to focus on diversifying their income streams independent of governmental reliance. This involves exploring options such as stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the adversity in the economy, now is an opportune moment to contemplate these investment avenues.
In particular, amid inflation, investors should exercise caution when it comes to their exposure and new purchases. It is only feasible to get such high yields during a recession with the guidance of a qualified specialist or reliable counsel.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. Finding financial advisors like Stacy Lyn n Staples who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

Argentina is not out of the woods. I listen to Joe Blogs too - but with over half the population in poverty I don’t think you can say that what Milei is doing Will work. Plus that government is authoritarian as that government is reducing consumer and environmental protections for the citizens and working to destroy the ability of its citizens to speak out against the government while at the same time seeking to serve international (western) capital in order to draw in this foreign capital. Yes it has improved its economic position but it is impoverishing its citizens. I don’t see structural changes that will grow a middle class.
🤣

For the first time, people are actually able to walk the streets without being in fear of being caught in gang crossfire.

The political crisis in France is not the same as collapse..... Everything still works fine and the economy works, better in some cases than peer countries.
I thought that was weird.
Local governments are functioning and so is the civil service. It just a case that no legislation will be passed until after the next election.

They suck big time
So basically saying it’s relative. Here in Seychelles most of the westerners can’t even afford to come vacation here, if it wasn’t for google they wouldn’t even know where it’s at in Africa but then again it’s rates top 5 paradises in the world 😅

I don't think Argentina should be on this list, and probably not El Salvador either. Cuba, Haiti, Nauru, and maybe the Solomon Islands would make excellent substitutes. Africa could probably fill this list by itself!
