@@atrank If they have Rosewood fret boards, they are starting to go up in price, because its becoming illegal, and I've noticed that some 401s and 1000s have rosewood fret boards
@@majorhippo2772 Rosewood WAS illegal to import or export even as a part of a used guitar, but it's actually been removed from the list of species that can't be imported/exported worldwide. Any new harvesting of Rosewood would almost certainly be condemned by CITES but I would guess some of these guitar manufacturers have an existing heap of Rosewood gathered over the years.
The 401 is just the old school EC1000 with slightly lower quality standards. As someone who owned a 2010 EC1000, and now a new 401 - I really can’t notice much of a difference.

I ve seen some ec401s made in Korea and Indonesia..I wonder what are the differences of the China made ec401s compared to the ec401s made in Korea or Indonesia?
You seem like a cool dude I would make a guitar gear video but most of the time I'm pretty pissed as I like drinking beer throughout the day when I stop working the strange thing is I seem to play better when I'm drinking it must loosen my fingers up honestly I play in a rock n blues band and nobody has a clue that I'm usually pissed when playing

Ari Balzar I noticed the prices ticking upward. I bought mine a few years ago and it has gone up slightly since then. My rifle went up in price too.

Oh I feel your pain. If you are person with specific taste, it gets even harder to find a guitar. It's so unfair. But 401 seems like a legit choice.

Had mine since 2008 it's still as goid as the day I bought mine. I got the black flame Mapleton. It's an awesome guitar! Mine is made in Indonesia.
