    This is incredible! Can you please do more videos like this, where you break down how someone should read the water? Like, seeing how you think about where to fish based on the mapping on your chart plotter is invaluable. Especially, for guys like me that are trying to get better at reading the water. The boat position portion was great to!

      Tactical bassin has some older videos that are very in depth. Try to find local guides that make vids. Todd castledine, Billy Lawson, and Mike McFarlands videos have been a wealth of great info.

    What’s wild is the point he’s making is basically there are so many different areas that you can catch fish on you just have to figure out which spots they’re at. There is no big secret to catching giants it’s literally time on the water and knowing your body of water.

    • @geoffreythekingfishing
      @geoffreythekingfishing  29 дней назад

      Yeah, that's basically it haha. Finding when those spots are holding fish is the hardest part of fishing for sure!

    Another good one. One question please. I don't think I have ever seen one of these where you are throwing any follow-up type baits. Is that something you just don't do as a fishing style preference or is there some other reason? i.e. when you throw to those rock piles/structure that are 30' deep, do you ever throw baits that get down to that structure and work the bottom? How do you decide when/if and what choices you like when you do decide to work the bottom?

    • @geoffreythekingfishing
      @geoffreythekingfishing  29 дней назад

      For the most part, if there is a piece of cover or structure in deep water, I always like making contact with it with a soft bait. If its a standing tree or fish habitat, I do not mind keeping it just above the cover in that situation.

    Geoffrey, Question for you???? Have you ever used the DRT Tiny Klash "Wide Lip" on the TK when Deadwalking???? I watched some underwater footage on another youtube channel of this being done. Wow! It seems to almost stay in place, and the Walk is more accentuated. It was done in comparison to the Normal Lip, so much better walk. Opinion please....

    • @geoffreythekingfishing
      @geoffreythekingfishing  29 дней назад +2

      I personally haven't tried it, I've always felt the Dead walk looks amazing with the normal lip but it could come down to each persons cadence as well.

    • @JosephLaBarre-t8w
      @JosephLaBarre-t8w Месяц назад +1

      Jigs. Depends on body of water but I try to find submerged timber in 5-10’ flip a 1/2-3/4oz rubber& silicone long skirted bait. A trailer that’s at least 5.5” long so basically a 6” big jig but the long rubber skirt is very important. Just flip, few subtle twitches; little drag, then next tree. Also glides that almost suspend fished very slow up to the trees and try to slow down as your passing the tree. Ideally look for an area of the lake where it’s a lot of area that has shallow water, try to find the creek channels with trees on them and focus on either a bend in the channel or where two meet. Hope that helps. I grew up fishing fork

    This was great! Would love to know your thought process on your retrieval after long lining a point like you talked about. I feel like deep to shallow is nice because you get a good feel and stay on the bottom better but yeah, just curious what depth and speed your trying for. Goal is to fish more than ever haha! 🎉happy new year!

    • @geoffreythekingfishing
      @geoffreythekingfishing  29 дней назад +1

      It of course depends on what the fish want. Sometimes, the fish want it really slow and other times I have found incorporating small speed ups can trigger the fish into biting. Im always trying different retrieves if I feel that I'm not getting bites when I should be based on the conditions.

    Serious question- what do big bass need safety for or from? Anglers? Doesn’t make sense to me they are apex predators

    • @geoffreythekingfishing
      @geoffreythekingfishing  29 дней назад

      We as humans are also Apex predators but in some situations we feel like we might be in danger of some unknown. For the most part we humans feel safe in our homes and I feel bass have the similar thought process where certain areas feel safer for them from some unknown entity. Safety from Anglers, Birds of prey or anything unnatural they might encounter.
