That's great... still using mine. Our dog comes when you call him but he still wants to run after people jogging. We give him a quick vibrate and he comes right back.
Could you share the distance between the two contacts/terminals? Wondering if a "comfort adapter" attachment designed for the "Educator" collar brand would fit on this, which is about 1.25 inches across.

When I was young in the 70's we lived in a farm and whenever we owned a dog that my dad thought needed too much work to train he would either shoot the dog in the head while it slept or drop a huge rock over his head. I would cry for days.
Hey looking to buy this with a young dog that I am trying to teach not to chew plants and bushes outside. She is at that early stage in life wanting to do that and has plenty of toys inside to chew on. But outside she trims the bushes and yesterday my wife’s 8 ft rose bush. So any advice on using this to help keep her out of the mulch beds and stay in the grass, thx.
Yes absolutely. we use it daily with our dog. What we did was ... We gave him a small shock and told him come... then he learned when we say come .. he better move or he will get a small shock. once he started responding to that.. I would vibrate it. It just alerts him ... we would say come .... like in the video .. Now we let him out to pee or at night to pee.. He doesnt like to come back .. so we buzz ( vibrate only) him from inside the house and he has learned to come back to the house.. We will also use it just to alert him. Like if hes about to eat a bush or ROSES lol you buzz it and tell him NO!!.... so he associates the buzzing with NO... Or if the mailman or UPS is coming .. I will say NO and buzzz.. and he comes.. He is learning ... if you didnt have the shocker... a leash would work... saying '' NO and pulling the leash ... with every thing... takes some time but they do learn... NO means... they get a yank on the leash .. they dont like that ya know.... Let me know how it works out .. or if ya have any more questions ..
I noticed the collar seems loose on your pup. Shouldn't it be snug against their neck? I haven't used it yet, but I want to say I really appreciate your video.
Hi... get the dog on a leash... buzz ( not shock) and pull toward you. Saying " come , or here , or heal. Whatever you prefer.. as you buzz at the same time... do over and over...this worked for me. Good luck
Hi.. ours does that too sometimes. MKe sure your on the correct channel .. ours is 1 or 2.. hold the button down on the collar down a few seconds as your pressing the remote untill you feel the vibrate . Should help.
Just got 2 of these (1 for each dog) and nervous to use it. Idk if you know the answer to this one but I've read not to punish a dog for growling or it will stop and could just attack without warning (growling) like taught. Our dog will run up to the kids barking whenever they do anything like leave the bathroom (kids are 7 yrs) and makes me scared. Now, should I use the collar on this behavior? Also, does it hurt the dogs neck if I clip the leash to the shock collar? Thanks!
Yes... I can help... to start do not use the shock on the collar . . make sure it's on vibrate. Use another small collar as well as the shock... this collar would used name tags and such... the shock collar goes on with regular collar...... use the vibrate mode giving commands like NO!!... and COME!!! Or whatever commands you use... this will vibrate and get their attention but it doesnt hurt them.. .. like STOP!! Then vibrate and pull the leash.. .. please let me know if this helps..
@@lstubbs71 hey I have the same collar but I never use a 100 level with my dog. I started with that and keep my vibrate now at like 65 and shock at 85 for emergencies. Full vibrate doesn’t make anything better from what I’ve found!
That's great but how did you actually teach him to come to you when he feels the vibrate? In other words, how did you get him to associate the vibration with coming to you.
You get a leash... press the vibrate while pulling the leash toward you and say "come" or " heal" or " Here" or whatever you like. Hold vibrate down until he or she comes to you . Then let it go. They will associate the vibrate to the word come. Hope this helps.
What I did with mine was let her run. Call for her and hit vibrate. I would give her 2 chance if she didn’t listen I would call the 3rd time and hit the shock. She learned very quickly

Great question... Anything up to 50 % gets their attention..we never really go much higher... Have you tested the waterproof ability because I was thinking of getting one but my dog loves swimming but i dont want to be it if i cant use it in the water
Ours jumps in this huge ditch behind the house and also jumps in the pool with his on... it stopped working for a bit but it is all cracked on top.... he has had it for a while. ..I think it just dried out... new one should be fine though.. waterproof
Is it still working ? I read some bad reviews on Amazon that this has a bad built quality & it will stop working after a month or so! Let me know please Thank you
I believe the rubber protectors are to make sure you dont accidentally shock the dog. Sometimes you can accidentally hit the shock button or get them mixed up.
We really just use the vibrate... just something to get his attention. Now we let him out and when we want him back in we just hit the buzzer and he heads back home. This did take some time. Like in the video... we called him and hit the buzzer... he associated the buzz with come ...when there is 2 of us outside, he if we buzz him he runs and stands by one of us... the shockers doesnt really get through our dogs furr too good. So we just use the buzzer.
Hi ... I think if its a huge dog with long long super furry full hair use the long... If its a smaller dog like mine... I would use the short .. . Again, you may never even need to use the shock option as the vibrate mode gets their attention really good. And the vibrate shakes the entire unit.. The Beep option is nice too ...
