That's Tamiya Candy that Glenn! lol. Absolute stunner and definitely deserves it's place in prominent position in display cabinet my friend! Wes, Liverpool, UK.
@@TAMIYALegends I like your videos and Mr talebots eigther. I learned that we most of the time have to improvise when it comes to tuning with hopup parts😁👌
When in doubt bling it out super awesome build the t5 motor really pops with blue been trying to get a top force for two years lol its like trying to catch Bigfoot
Looks ace proper pro 👍😀 I think you’re right the other shock tower would probably be better if you was going to run it and would probably affect it’s handling 😀
Very nice! I think I watched this video earlier, but now I am in the process of buying parts for a similar build, I really appreciate you sharing your experiences! I pretty much ended up buying the same parts, I guess it comes down to what shows up on searches, ha ha! I will be doing something different in that I am not buying a kit, I will just buy the parts trees separately, I don't think it'll be much more expensive that way, and definitely a bit more eco-friendly, less stuff I need to scrap or keep lying around. And a full set from Bora, I am so excited about those parts, they're in the post now, ha ha!
Nailed that Glen.. I think that is a superb example.. Love the top force but that is the next level. I think that is probably the best build you have done.. in my opinion... 👍👍👍👍
Hello Glen. Glad you're doing better. The Force top is so cool, I love the original green color. It's a great, well detailed kit, this car is really good for having fun on a few bumps. All these blue aluminum parts are superb, maybe you should paint the body blue as a result?!. Or how about a pretty yellow? We see all the know-how of tamiya in this kit, you will have a lot of fun with this one.
Wow, it looks fantastic!! As for the steering, while I was watching the video I wondered about flipping the steering arms round to face outwards, or maybe the ball connectors and steering links might fit on the top of the arms/hub carriers rather than underneath? Also, get rid of those red front hub carriers and get some blue alloy ones if you can. And, while I'm at it, replace the screws with a titanium hex-head set, or maybe even a Torx screw set, way better than those awful cross head/Phillips head screws ;) And here's me with my M-05 chassis and GR Yaris body, my first RC car in years! Great video as always, really enjoyed it!
When Tamiya introduced the Ford Escort mk2, I was very disappointed. I think it should be rear wheel drive. I really wanted that car, but I would rather buy a chassis from Tamya that is rear-wheel drive, and then put on an mk2 body. Thank you for an incredibly nice channel, and I send a greeting from Norway, to you.. ❤️😉
Hi Glenn, I have been watching your channel for sometime now I have been looking forward to seeing this build ever since you announced the car was on it way. Really enjoyed the build it looks amazing and can’t wait to see the next video with the shell on. Brilliant as video as usual Glenn. 👍🏻👍🏻
The entire buggy is stunning, but what sticks out to me are the big bore dampers and the motor with the blue end bell . I hope you run it that motor has me interested.
Great looking build, Glenn! I still have one last Top Force kit unbuilt... now seeing this one makes me think I should move it up on the ol' build list. :)
Love it. Mine is the same spec, just waiting for Bora's parts. Don't add up what this build costs, if you include the freight its depressing. Glen , you are like the Magnus Walker of vintage RC. I think evertime you do a video the sales for the kits go up.😁👍
Awesome Glenn looks factory !! To keep all blue have you thought about using the Boomerang front uprights and using the Aluminium king pins TA#53157 as per Evo? Not too dear also.
What a piece of awesomeness! Really looks amazing! And your timetravel exploits are cool too...... video from the past, but ahead of the other video...... ahhhhh, it all confused me. ;) Bet you're going to have a sneaky indoor zip around with that aren't you! ;)
Looks just wicked! Looking forward to see it with the body on ;-) Interesting motor this, might have a look one too and save the 11t ;-) Still need to figure out which esc to get for it!
I’ve done something identical (apart from the big bores) but in black. I fitted the Jazrider steering and flipped it but did not sort the issue.....however I kept the brace in. It essentially fouled on some of the back of the front gear housing. Very interested in your fix. What a cool build....it’s been my no.1 build
That looks absolutely awesome and I bet it will fly with that setup. I always find the front tower odd on the TF, the standard is very tall and the evo. too short, with the hi-caps on it always sits nose up. Looks like you've got the opposite problem so I guess you could chop a bit off the bottom and drill two new holes for the ball mounts, I'm sure Nick could do something when you get the thicker rear. Looking forward to the next vid, keep up the great work.👍 (I'd have to loose the red uprights though, I know it's a bit of a TF signature thing)
Hey Glenn, awesome build!! Steering issue, could you have the ball link and turnbuckle installed on top instead of under?? Would that give you more steering?
Wow, Glenn, that's gorgeous! Looking forward to the next video where you get the body and wing on. Question: The red steering blocks, or whatever they're called...do black ones exist perhaps from another Tamiya kit? Or would aftermarket black alloy ones be the only option? Cheers, and keep up the fantastic work, buddy.
Hey Tim, yes there are a few options available ether alloy or plastic. It’s funny the red colours very off putting to some and I understand why, I guess I’m just use to seeing the TF uprights in red 🤷🏼♂️. I think I’ll change them now to black 🤔👊🏻
You must have some pretty special wheels to improve on that look. My OCD can't handle the different shades of blue but she's still a cracking looking machine that'll go like stink.
@@TAMIYALegends It's the same with MTB trick parts. You really have to keep an eye on it and sometimes, for me at least, swerve away from some otherwise things end up looking worse.
Hey mate, I was wondering if you recommend on how to store RC collections? do you worry about rubber, nylon or polycarbonate deteriorating? I know that certain plastics/rubbers can melt (has a chemical sticky residue forming) and some times they can harden and become brittle and fall apart. So do you recommend using dehumidifier and do you keep it in certain temperature?
Hi Glenn, great video once again. A quick question, Could the steering turn buckles be mounted at the top, instead of the bottom? This way the steering balls and joints are not fowling the chassis. Thumbs up!!
Hey Glenn, is there a Tamiya model that has the same steering knuckles as the top force but not red? I’d like to find them in black. If you know of the model, I’d be very grateful. Cheers buddy 👍🏼
Glen can’t you turn the steering arms over and put the ball in from the other side meaning that they are open wider to start then shorten the turnbuckles going to the hubs ?
I certainly can't be the only one to have never liked the look of the Tamiya buggies where the whole front end is just the black plastic front diff housing.
